ous and beautiful. The staff at the zoo's group sales department were so kind, helpful, and accomodating from the first time I arranged to view the hall until weeks after the wedding was over! I intend to stay with my husband forever, but after my experience using the zoo for the reception, I wish I could do it all over again! Guests were extremely excited about the location since it is so unique. It was also so nice to have a place for the guests to go between the ceremony and reception since my guests were able to walk around the zoo grounds at that time.

a complete lack of communication within the zoo offices (namely Group Sales and Catering/Bartending). We have been Zoo members for two years, so we were familiar with the Peck but still wanted more information (i.e. pricing, room set-up, etc.). When we made our first appointment to meet with someone, no one showed up! That was just the beginning of many unanswered e-mails, phone calls, misinformation, and confusion. The week before our wedding, we still did not have a bar contract (you are REQUIRED to purchase all beer, wine, and soda from the zoo) and we couldn’t get a straight answer as to who we had to contact for what. We finally just showed up there with all the contact we had with anyone at the zoo and made them take care of it then and there. We ended up doing it all with an assistant in Catering/Bartending and she was very nice and ended up being on of the bartenders at the wedding. However, the other bartender working refused to give the groom a glass of water, telling him that he needed to use the drinking fountain. When we got our bill after the wedding we were overcharged by a few hundred dollars. They were very nice when I went there again to get it corrected but I would not recommend anyone holding their event here. We love the park but were very sorely disappointed by the terrible service.

150 guests which didn't quite fill the room up. The room is best suited for probably 200ish guests if you want it to look full. The room is easily divided in half so we were able to have cocktails and the bar on one side, and a sit down dinner on the other without having to move anything. The only snafu was that the zoo did not set the head table correctly so there were 2 place settings missing once dinner started and my attendants had to stand until it could be resolved. Otherwise we dealt with Kathy from the beginning and she was absolutely wonderful! For the price you pay for the setting it's a steal. I would definitely book another event there!
