Of the numerous vendors that we had booked (and they were all very helpful), Mirage Entertainment provided the most insight and help with talking through the change in plans going forward. Once our minds were made up, we didn't look back and thank goodness for that, it was a wonderful evening. We even threw the band a curveball (notice the baseball reference as we are both HUGE Cards' fans) and asked them to learn a different first dance song three weeks before our wedding day. I was told, "don't worry about it, we got this." And they sure did! (Virtual hug to all members of Mirage!) We often joked that it would be hard to social distance at our reception as our family and friends LOVE to dance! It did help a bit as we unfortunately could not have all the guests that had planned to attend, but they understood......thank you dear friends! After dinner, it was three hours of nonstop dancing, which is exactly what we wanted. I could go on, but by now, I think you get the idea that we were overwhelmingly ecstatic with Mirage, not only their performance, but for being by our side through the 'nerve racking' times. We are already talking about holding a one-year anniversary party next year and invite EVERYONE from our original guest list. And you can bet, Mirage will be part of that fun.

Wedding planning is stressful, even more so dealing with planning during a pandemic- Mirage has been one of the few vendors that has been completely stress free through all of this! I am so excited to have them be apart of our big day!

typical timeline; not only were they happy to accommodate they didn't miss a beat on the day of the event! They learned several songs just for us including our first dance song (a specific version too which was soo special) and also a special song to surprise my in-laws who were celebrating their 51st wedding anniversary the exact same day. It was such a special memory, thanks to Mirage. Once the formal dances were finished, they got right to work and truly got EVERYONE up and dancing! Our photographer ended up staying late just to capture it!! They truly made our day so special and memorable. People still talk about our wedding day, and remember it as one fun party - this is in huge part to Mirage. Thank you guys again - you all know how to party!

until the party was over at 11. They played a good mix of older and newer music that kept all ages dancing. They were very accommodating to what we wanted as a couple, including letting my husband's uncle play the harmonica with them for one song. We would highly recommend the Mirage to any couple who wants their wedding to be a fun experience for their guests!

ch and we were sold. They are an extremely talented group with a reasonable price tag attached. Pros: Mirage was a one stop shop - we used the piano for the ceremony music, jazz quintet for cocktail hour, piano for dinner and full band for 3 hours of dance music. They've done tons of weddings so we trusted their expertise in selecting the dancing music. Mirage did not disappoint. They were great at picking out songs that kept folks on the dance floor all night. Plus, they did a wonderful job learning a couple songs for our special dances. Mirage played a wedding at our venue a couple months before and reached out with recommendations on changing our setup because of the acoustics of the venue. This was greatly appreciated! Cons: We had some hiccups communicating back and forth. However, most/all members of the band do work full time jobs as well so this was expected. In hindsight, I should have been more adamant about our ceremony music choices. I sent our reception planner 3 months before our wedding and asked about how/when we need to send ceremony music. I was reassured there was nothing to worry about yet. About a month before our wedding, still nothing had been discussed about ceremony music so I started to worry. When I reached out, I was made feel like I needed to pick easy songs for our ceremony because I hadn't left enough time. Now mere weeks before our wedding we are scrambling to come up with ceremony music. There's a lot of anxiety the weeks before your wedding so this was frustrating to say the least. Mirage does lots of reception music, but I got the impression that ceremonies are less common. For future brides, I would recommend asking more questions about the ceremony music. Overall, I would recommend Mirage for your wedding. They were knowledgeable and will keep your guests entertained and dancing all night long!

We were at a wedding 2 years ago that Mirage played at and we decided right then and there we would book them for ours one day. I think my husband proposed to me so he could have a wedding and book this band...:). It was everything we wanted and more and our friends have not stopped talking about them. They also went above and beyond by learning 2 special songs we requested, they made a special GOBO to light up the dance floor with our names on it, and also drove in from St. Louis to Kansas City no problem. I would recommend to anyone planning a wedding or event to do themselves a favor and put booking this band at the top of their list when working out your wedding or event budget. It is worth it and you get so much bang for your buck. They are the WOW factor that every bride and groom is looking for when planning a wedding that everyone will remember and talk about for all the years to come.

The other great thing was that they worked with me so I could sing a song to my husband; I was able to go to one of their rehearsals the week before the wedding so we could practice together, and then surprise him at the reception. He was so enthusiastic about their performance, he recommended them to me the second I started planning my wedding! I reached out to the drummer/band leader, Darren, who not only asked me to attend one of their weekly practices to hear them play, but also invited me to hear them perform live at other weddings to listen to the band's acoustics in varying settings outside of their practice area. I fell in love with their sound, as well as their personalities, the second I met them! Mirage is filled with award-winning musicians who not only excel musically, but also personally and professionally. During the entire process leading up to the wedding, Darren and the other members of Mirage were always incredibly easy to reach, and very quick to respond to any questions or requests we had along the way. They were exceptionally friendly, accommodating, and even reached out to us as important dates and deadlines approached to make our experience with them as stress-free as possible. Mirage not only emcee'd and put on a sensational performance during our reception, but also provided a wonderful 5-piece jazz ensemble during our cocktail hour (which was a huge hit)! They also provided a beautiful string duet for our ceremony, who went out of their way to learn two newly requested songs just two days before the wedding! The music brought the wedding party and the guests alike to tears during the ceremony, provided a fun, relaxing environment during the cocktail hour, and inspired the absolute party of a lifetime (and greatest night of our lives) during the reception. They kept our guests on their feet, and the dance floor packed the entire evening! They even ended the night with an unexpected encore (per the request of our guests!), performing a song that was highly significant to my husband and I, which was a wonderful surprise. We've received nothing but compliments and praise from everyone who attended the wedding - many of whom have since asked for Mirage's information to use at their own events! I can not describe the level of service, professionalism, and personalization Mirage provided positively enough. They helped make our wedding day, from start to finish, absolutely picture perfect.
