Captain Davis was amazing. From the moment we found him on The Knot to the ceremony. Our ceremony was conducted with professionalism, sincerity and a dash of humor. It included the tying of the knot, a rose ceremony, a sand ceremony as well as the exchanging of rings and vows - this all in 20 minutes. Captain Davis is as true as they come. He genuinely cares about the people for whom he is officiating and he worked with us from beginning to end to give us the ceremony of our nautical themed dreams. If you book him, you will not be let down, he is an amazing officiant and his wife, Sheryl, who assists him, is an absolute delight as well. After all, there is a reason that he consistently gets rave reviews.

Bill and Sheryl were the only officiants my husband and I met with. He came highly recommended by our venue and once we met with them we knew Bill was the one to marry us! Can't say enough good things about our ceremony and how special it was. We even keep our "tied knot" on display.

From the first time we met with Bill, we knew he would be a good fit to be our officiant! Everything went great. My husband is a big fisherman, so we thought it would be cool to have a captain marry us. Our venue wasn't nautical at all, but it still tied in with the day perfectly. He comes dressed in his gear and I think the guests really enjoyed it. He also has some more unique readings and ceremony additions that really made the ceremony awesome--for example, we tied the knot (literally). The only thing I would say about that is that being up there ready to get married and all those emotions made tying a knot a little harder than you would think! We didn't practice, so maybe try it once before you get up there. Standing at the alter is definitely an experience! Anyway, I would highly recommend Nautical Star with Captain Bill. Our pictures are awesome standing there with the captain and we found his personality to be laid back but professional at the same time.

Captain Bill did an AMAZING job with our ceremony! As soon as we met him (and his wonderful wife Sheryl) we knew they were the right fit for us! It instantly felt as if we had known them for years! Captain Bill was so wonderful the day of the wedding. He hung out with myself and some of the bridal party before the ceremony started and everyone loved him! Such a personable guy! He helped calm my nerves and walked us through everything! He was wonderful!

We found Bill here on The Knot, and from the moment we first spoke I knew he'd be the perfect addition to our big day! We met with Bill early on so that was one big thing we didn't even have to think about the rest of the planning process. Bill is very open to any type of ceremony you're interested in. The day of, Bill definitely helped calm my nerves and lessen the chaos of our large bridal party. Everyone loved the unique ceremony that Bill led and I'm so happy we went with him! He was able to include anyone we wanted (our moms, grandma, etc.) so that made the ceremony very special! Do yourself a favor and go with Bill :)

Captain Bill married us on Halloween, but was available to answer any questions we had about the whole process way before the actual wedding date. Both Captain Bill and his wife Sheryl were professional, helpful, and made our special day completely comfortable (as can be expected). They even came into the bridal and groom suites before the ceremony to give us last minute words of advice and encouragement. During the ceremony, Captain Bill made an analogy that our marriage was like a ship on the seas of life, and that we were like the captains of that ship. If we are the captains of that ship, then Bill and his wife were the harbormasters, making sure that the ship was safe and ready before leaving port. We couldn't imagine the day without them.

We couldn't have asked for a better officiant! They knew exactly what to ask us in order to prepare for our ceremony. This was a second wedding for both of us so we wanted something more original. Both Sheryl and Bill had a very calming affect on me and I was at ease before the ceremony. We can't thank them enough for everything they did for us. You won't be disappointed if you choose Nautical Star Weddings!!!

As the bride, you have expectations of what your big day will be. Sheryl took these expectations to a place I never knew possible. The warmth and love we felt during our wedding was something we didn't think possible when we started looking for a wedding officiant. She included our families, our wishes & took the special occasion to another level. The venue loved working with Nautical Star as well. I didn't think it was possible to have a vendor that you want to be friends with & I'm happy to say that we now are! If you're looking for someone to elevate your non-denominational ceremony, look no further. Both Bill & Sheryl are amazing - we are blessed to have had them as part of our wedding.

I highly recommend captain Davis. He was very personal and a great addition to our ceremony. Many of our guest have said that they truly enjoyed our ceremony and vows. He does a beautiful rose ceremony that is unique and allowed us to incorporate special people!

Captain Bill officiated our wedding on 9/12/15 at Battello. He is nothing short of amazing! His sermon and the vows created were ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL, unique, and heartfelt. He & his wife Sheryl are extremely genuine and make you feel at ease immediately, they really take the time to get to know you as a couple and it truly shows during the ceremony. My husband and I got married about 3 weeks ago, and as much as I was told that everyone always remembers the food and the music at a wedding, I have to say that my guests keep raving about Captain C.W. Davis of Nautical Star Weddings. He truly made my wedding ceremony special and memorable for myself, my husband, and all of my guests. From the moment we met Bill and Sheryl, we knew right away that we wanted them to be a part of our wedding day. They are friendly and easy to work with. It is apparent that they know what they are doing and that they enjoy doing it. We were even given the option to personalize our ceremony as much as we wanted. My wedding ceremony was originally supposed to be outside on a beach. However, due to rain, we had to move the ceremony indoors last minute. Bill and Sheryl were so flexible and were able to switch gears at a moment's notice. Throughout our ceremony, Captain Davis kept our guests engaged, and even cracked a few jokes. Captain Bill and Sheryl were so incredible. We were unsure of how to approach our interfaith wedding ceremony and they made us feel comfortable starting with our first consultation. They were so responsive and easy going throughout the whole process. Bill performed a beautiful ceremony for our beach wedding. From the moment that my now husband and I met Captain Bill and his wife Sheryl, we were immediately taken by their humor, kindness, and attention to detail. They made us feel relaxed and excited about the ceremony and provided many options for the type of service that we would like. Captain Bill was our officiant for an on-site ceremony at Clark's Landing Yacht Club in Point Pleasant, NJ. We left our initial consultation with Bill and his wife Sheryl feeling like old friends even though we had only just met. He tailored our ceremony to fit our personalities and wishes. Captain Bill has such a warmth to him that made everything in the process leading up to the wedding so pleasant. As for the day of, he was everything we could have hoped for. We felt like we were married by a close friend. Almost every guest we talk to also complimented our ceremony and the charismatic man who married us. My (now) husband Joe and I were throwing around ideas about an officiant for our wedding. I had contacted a few local officiants, but did not feel any connection to them. I can’t say enough good things about Capt. Bill Davis (and his wife, Sheryl). From the moment we were first welcomed into their home for our preliminary meeting, I knew that I wanted this dynamic duo to be a part of my wedding day. I had some unique requests and restrictions for my ceremony, and Bill was super accommodating. He even let me adjust his pre-written selection a bit to better suit my needs. Words cannot express how beautiful my ceremony was. I think that the whole room was in tears. People are still telling me how it seemed that the ceremony meant more to us than the reception, and it really did. Bill had some of his own suggestions when we outlined the ceremony that I had never even though of, such as giving my grandmother a rose. When the time came to give her a rose, she was so surprised and cried. I luckily held it together. :) Everything that I wanted to incorporate, Bill made it happen, and Sheryl came to all the meetings too and was just this voice of calmness and love. She is just so sweet and she really puts your mind at ease. Bill came down the day before to do a rehearsal with my group. I am really thankful that we did the rehearsal — it made all the difference for the big day. But it’s optional. One of the things that I really valued about Bill is his pricing. I honestly don’t think you can find a better value for all of the things you get when you choose Bill as your officiant. He is professional and priced reasonably. And best of all, he knows how to put a smile on people’s faces. He is serious during the ceremony, of course, but beforehand and at the rehearsal, he is always cracking jokes, and it really just helps you keep this positive upbeat attitude about your special day. My wedding was at Clarks Landing, and Bill is a preferred vendor there. I said in my Clarks review that I truly feel that you become a part of their family when you have your wedding there. I feel the same way about Bill and Sheryl, and I think that’s why Clarks recommends his services. They will give you the individual attention that your ceremony deserves. Everything is personalized from beginning to end, and it all comes together into a truly unforgettable experience. Bill is more than just a simple wedding officiant — he will get to know you and your significant other, and it will feel just like having someone who has known you your whole life giving the ceremony.
