My daughter and I spent a lot of time researching vendors for her wedding, which paid off. After comparing videographers and productions on the web (i.e. quality of work, video and music editing, and the pricing) and then talking to videographe...rs, we selected Wes Shepard, the owner of ‘New Road Productions.’
On the day of the wedding, Wes was on time and already shooting video footage of the grounds when we arrived. He also had set up his microphones and several types of cameras and lights for the ceremony area and reception site so he could get multiple angles to capture the best footage indoors and outdoors, in different lighting. Wes worked solid and in tandem with the photographer we hired from 3:00 pm until 11:00 pm. He videoed our bridal party, the bride and groom’s ‘first look,’ their garden wedding ceremony & cocktail hour on the lawn, the indoor dinner & reception, and the sparkler exit. He was very polite and professional while communicating with all ages of the bridal party and guests.
Within a week after the wedding, we were amazed to already receive the seven-hour raw video footage from our daughter and son-in-law's wedding. A few weeks beyond, we received our first draft of the Highlight Video. We laughed and cried at how sweet everything was edited. Wes truly captured the emotions of our special day, both in the raw footage and the five-minute highlight video edited to music, and we'll all treasure our daughter's wedding day even more in time because the videos will help keep our memories alive.
The bottom line is this: DO NOT let people convince you that you don't need a videographer for your wedding. The wedding day goes by too fast. You'll try to “live in the moment” with your loved ones, which means you can’t see everything and be everywhere. When it's over, you'll realize how amazing the day was and want to relive it again - but can't if there isn't a video! This is why you need to hire Wes Shepard to record the most special day of your life. You won’t ever regret it.
