The First Look

Noriega House is a 4,400-square-foot Queen Anne Cottage that was built on an acre of land in 1900 in Bakersfield, California. The house has classic arched doors and windows, five chimneys, four gables and two grand porch entrances. A signature black and white dance floor embellishes the exterior of the home. The venue hosts wedding ceremonies and receptions as well as bridal showers.

Noriega Chapel. Noriega Chapel is located on the second story of the house. The cream-colored chapel, decorated with twinkle lights, includes high-ceilings, an open floor plan and ample counter space. The space accommodates up to 60 guests.

Noriega Garden. Noriega Garden showcases colorful roses and manicured hedges. Noriega Lounge is located in the garden. The indoor/outdoor bar has two flatscreen televisions and a cell phone charging station and it's equipped with surround sound. The space accommodates up to 300 guests.

Queen Anne Room. The Queen Anne Room, decorated in white and cream hues, provides a fireplace, large hearth and expansive picture windows. The room accommodates up to 40 guests.


What You Should Know

A wedding day coordinator assists couples in navigating and finalizing all the components of their event. An event stylist can be added to the wedding package to help plan the entire day. The event stylist can help with choosing everything from flowers to linens and innovative decorations to creating a custom cocktail and most importantly, formulating a signature theme to customize the wedding look.

Usually, intimate ceremonies are held earlier in the day and weddings and large receptions occur from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. Extra time for decorating and setup are built into each wedding contract. Couples can hire a caterer of their choice or have the venue cater their wedding. No menu tasting is offered. All alcohol must be purchased through the venue.

Prior to the ceremony, the groomsmen can mingle in the Celebration Room. The room has large windows, Tiffany blue walls, an opulent gold chandelier and original hardwood flooring. The Bride’s Parlor has a private powder room, a floor-length mirror and ample seating. The elegant room is embellished in soft grey and white brocades.

Wedding guests are welcome to enjoy all tourist attractions in Bakersfield. Museums include the California Living Museum, Kern County Museum and Bakersfield Museum of Art. Buck Owens Crystal Palace is a country music venue, Fox Theater is a historic Spanish Colonial-Art Deco venue and the Rabobank Theater and Convention Center is a venue for sports, conventions and comedy shows.
