Online Marriage Preparation offers online premarital courses - taken in the privacy of your own home! What can you expect? You’ll enjoy 10 guided conversations, easy and fun to complete. Dr. Frank Nelson has created an easy and fun way to deepen your love and strengthen your communication as you prepare for your wedding day. Many couples say, “This was the best part of planning for our wedding!” The courses offered are: SELF-PACED, SELF-GUIDED, AND EASY TO COMPLETE Online instructions and teaching videos guide you step-by-step. DIGITAL - Use your phones or computers. PRIVATE - No appointments needed with a counselor, priest, or pastor. FLEXIBLE -Your “conversation dates” can be in person or over the phone. RESPECTFUL - You choose the course that’s fits you best: BASIC (non-religious), CHRISTIAN (non-denominational) and CATHOLIC. EFFECTIVE! – Strong, loving relationships become stronger and more loving. SPANISH – All three courses are now available in Spanish. Who is Rev. Frank? What’s his story? Rev. Frank’s doctoral thesis on love and friendship led him to create an innovation he calls TalkPoints, or guided conversations. He discovered that when two people take time to prepare for a conversation by writing down their thoughts first, a powerful and wonderful thing happens when they come together to share their thoughts. And so, Rev. Frank set about to write guided conversations that engaged couples need to have before marriage. He published the conversations in a book, The Greatest Is Love, which has sold thousands of copies. The TalkPoints method of making conversations easy was wildly popular with couples, and so, Rev. Frank began to create “Online Marriage Preparation.” The experience couples used to have meeting in person with Rev. Frank has been re-formatted to make it possible for couples all over the world to benefit from his innovative approach. He also was able to apply his experience coaching a variety of couples, non-religious and religious, gay and straight, and decided to let couples choose which course was best for them: the Basic, Christian or Catholic. Now thousands of couples have benefitted from this simple tool as they have enjoyed the experience of preparing for their own marriage.

You are able to see where your strengths are and where more communication is needed to strengthen other areas of your relationship. I will definitely be printing these conversation PDFs and using them throughout our future marriage. Like Myranda, I didn't know what to expect from this course, but I believe that the reflection and conversations will prove helpful in our marriage. We have had talks about many of the topics before this course, but I think it was good to review our opinions. ssion to the surface. We got into some really awesome, deep conversations that have made us remember why we fell in love in the first place! We enjoyed talking through an important issue/decision we’ve been facing the most. It was the most in-depth conversation we have had about the issue and left us feeling better about our progress towards this big life decision. Before this, it was actually a conversation that has been avoided because it made us both tense. After completing the course, we’ve changed for the better. We’re both more honest, patient, and open in terms of how and when we communicate about things. We feel like the communication process we learned is something we will really value and go back to when we have big decisions to make. We know how to use the tools and feel better equipped to talk through major life events and decisions as they arise. Should we have friends getting married soon, we’d certainly recommend a course like this to them. It’s extremely important that couples think and talk through these things before marriage. We are lucky that we don't have any pressing issues in our relationship, but this course was still valuable in helping us reflect on some things we haven't been talking about recently. Plus, life is full of challenges and this prep course will help us tackle new issues when they arise. We really appreciated how much Reverend Frank loves the sacrament of marriage and how passionate he is about this. It's really uplifting to see and has made us more excited about the commitment we are making to each other!

. We chose to do it in one day because we had the time and know the upcoming month would be very busy and it was very manageable. This course was well written and so helpful for outlining all the aspects of marriage and details we needed to discuss prior to marriage and what to think about throughout out marriage. I would highly recommend this resource to anyone looking for some pre-marital counseling, especially when time is an issue, you can pace this out over weeks or complete it in a long day if you have the time without interruptions.

template to use when discussing further issues. Also, given the current state of the pandemic, having access to all this material online was extremely convenient. We were able to go at our own pace without having to worry about what was going on with the rest of the world. For any couple thinking about going through this course I would say do it! The pace is extremely flexible and if you go into it earnestly, it's worth the time it takes. - Stephen I found this course to be extremely helpful with getting through these important conversations. These are things that Stephen and I talk about a lot in passing, but haven’t gone through in a serious and deliberate matter. We both loved the template outline in the “Issues” exercise and are planning to continue using it in the future. Because of my work in healthcare, I’ve been extremely sensitive to the current state of the pandemic, and being able to complete this course from the safety of my own home was a true blessing. For any couple interested in this course I would say, take as much time as you need on these exercises. It’s easy to just go through them quickly without taking the time each conversation needs, but it will benefit you greatly if you stretch these out and give them the time they need. - Zharmyn

It’s an innovative, enjoyable and thorough approach to premarital coaching that couples continue to rave about.
