We requested for the ceremony acoustic versions of some classic wedding songs and DJ Wade found the exact ones we wanted and everything was just flawless! I would highly recommend DJ Wade to anyone looking for a fun/high energy DJ that's going to keep your guests going all night long.

h our original DJ falling ill on our rehearsal night, they secured DJ Bryan Mahanes for us. And then DJ Bryan NAILED IT. He made our wedding an absolute blast. The dance floor was packed from the first dance to the last - literally. In just a day's notice, Bryan made us a custom first dance sequence that we will all remember forever. It was truly incredible. Bryan captured every little detail and our guests loved him too. In fact, he may have put more thought and care into it all than even we even did!

nd sad, however, the bride and groom were surrounded by love and it was laughed away in good spirit.... but the DJ didn't do the things that we asked such as asking people to visit the photo booth, nor did he make an announcement of a lost bracelet that we had asked him to do. Very disappointed at the performance and would never recommend him.

eet to see him in action – it was awesome. We hired Bryan to do the music for our ceremony, cocktail hour, the reception, and the dance party, and we could not have made a better decision. To make the event flow more smoothly, he set up a station at the ceremony location and the reception – there was no lugging equipment between the two portions. His music was on point for every part of the day. Music was at the perfect level for the ceremony and cocktail hour. He did not miss a beat during introductions, speeches, first dances, or anything - there was no stumbling over names of wedding party members, which I have seen at so many of my friends’ weddings, and after the formalities were over, he kept the guests on the dance floor all night!! He even let one of our guests “Co-DJ” for a minute, which was hilarious! We had a number of our guests comment that he was the best DJ they had ever seen at a wedding, and I agree!! We had a couple of requests prior the big day that Bryan really came through for us on – we shortened the song we chose for our first dance and the mother/son dance, and Bryan spliced it perfectly. You couldn’t even tell a verse had been removed. For the father/daughter dance, my dad and I danced to “What a Wonderful World” but had the song turn into a flash mob with the Time Warp – Bryan was able to make it happen for us and sent us the finished product a few days in advance so my family knew when the flash mob was going to take place. It was such a fun thing for my family, and I am so grateful for Bryan for making it happen – he was totally on board with the idea and loved it! With Bryan, we did not have a single thing to worry about all night – from discussions prior, he knew the vibe we were going for, the songs we wanted for specific dances/introductions, and our definite do not plays. From processional to send-off, I could not have asked for more. Thank you DJ B-Mahanes and Other Brother Entertainment!! You made our night perfect!

election to what we wanted and we found DJ Wade. We were so lucky that he was available for our wedding because he was THE BEST PART, outside of getting married and all. The party was amazing. He is worth every penny and more. He was able to read the crowd, get everyone excited and even helped the groom surprise me (the bride) during the ceremony. What a lively and friendly person – hair, attitude and smile!!! Great to work with! We loved having him at the wedding and wish that I could make everyone in Charleston choose him for their wedding!!! Our guests our still taking about how much fun they had dancing. DJ WAAAAADDDEEE! We had an outside wedding in Charleston, it rained in the afternoon and was humid all evening, but after DJ Wade got the party started it didn’t stop!! With sweat dripped guests and dancing fools, our reception was perfect thanks to DJ Wade and everyone at Other Brother. I have to also say Ian, one of the coordinators for the group, is so quick with emails! We were planning from afar, and did not meet or talk with DJ Wade until the wedding but Ian made everything so easy and I felt very comforted by the fact that he took every detail seriously and professionally. I was able to ask questions and address concerns about weather and music up to a few days before the wedding. What an amazing group of people. Thank you all!!

He came over and introduced himself to both my husband and myself the morning of the wedding, and let us know a few options we had for our entrance, first dance, and parent dances to make them flow better. We took his suggestions and we're so glad we did. He also was able to read the crowd and kept everyone dancing all night - including my 85 year old grandmother! While the process of booking didn't go as smoothly as we wish it had, once we had our contract with OtherBrother and DJ Mateo, everything went great from then on. Just make sure to stay on top of everything until the contract is finalized, and you'll be fine.

d their point contact person, Kristen, were so professional from start to finish when dealing with the many details involved from set up to first dances, bouquet toss, garter toss, etc. The talent of this band is above and beyond your typical wedding band and they had everyone dancing the entire night! He was quick to respond to our emails, and met with us about a month before the wedding to discuss timeline, music, etc. He is very experienced and was completely professional throughout the entire process. Mateo was extremely accommodating to us as we wanted to create a unique experience for our guests. Apart from providing him with the basic info we gathered a list of music we wanted him to play at different parts of the evening, nothing structured as we wanted him to also go with the flow for the reception. The day of the wedding/reception, Mateo arrived on time and set up all of the equipment just like he said he would, he came to greet us and provided us confidence that he had everything ready to go. From the pre ceremony music through the end of the reception everything ran smoothly like clockwork, throughout the evening we could see the true professionalism by hearing the songs suggested and by receiving MANY compliments from our guests. My husband’s family lives in Chile and DJ Mateo did a fabulous job of mixing the Chilean music and dances at just the right time! Our guests were thrilled that we had a true DJ and not just a guy that pressed “Play”. He knew exactly how to get people to the dance floor with his mixing skills, the dance floor got a ton of use (ALL NIGHT LONG!) as people were having the time of their lives! We really put a lot of thought into the party and wanted everyone to enjoy themselves – overall, we were blown away by the result – DJ Mateo definitely made it happen and we can’t thank him enough!! We recommend DJ Mateo without a doubt!!

My husband and I met at East Carolina University and majority of our guest were alumni. So we really wanted our recessional song to be Purple Haze since that is ECU's theme song. He said they never played that song before but will practice it and let me know...Not only did they kill it at the ceremony with acoustic guitars but they played it again during the reception and nailed it. They also got our guest doing the Purple & Gold chant. Our guest loved the band so much that when they played the last song, they chanted "One more song, one more song," which they did immediately. I could of not asked for a better band and I thank Katie Poole from Burlap Elephant for recommending them since I do not live in Charleston. He met with us on site and gave us ideas and suggestions that we would have never known were options. Pendant lighting, tent lighting, cafe lighting, and copper lanterns for less than the price of JUST cafe lights for the other companies. Fun to work with and very responsive to every call and email. Highly recommended!

He tailored everything to what I had put on that paper. He played normal cocktail hour/wedding music until about 8:30 or 9, and then he let everyone know it was time to dance. He threw in a few songs with a Latin flair because I told him one of my friends was from Argentina. It had an indie/EDM edge too because I told him a lot of my friends were yuppie hipster types. He could tell when the crowd wasn't really feeling a song and switched it accordingly. He actually mixed some of the music and didn't just change songs. However, he really went above and beyond towards the end of the night. He played like the top 5 songs from my senior year of high school to my freshman year of college. It was such a perfect throwback! I don't know if he looked me up on facebook or just figured that those were good songs for people in their late 20's, but everyone went crazy. I can't say enough good things about DJ Wade. I just wish I could have told him in person!

We threw him a few curveballs (some last-minute) for the pre-wedding music, the first dances, and the speeches. None of them phased him and he executed the requests flawlessly, including a few touches we didn't think of. He had even thrown in a good suggestion or two when we were planning the order of events for the ceremony/reception. That's all before we get to his performance during the dancing part of the reception. In short, DJ Wade was the best DJ I've ever seen at a wedding. As we had hoped, he took our musical taste and created an unbelievable set. His song selection, mixing, remixing, and feel for when to move to the next song were spot on. Usually, there's at least a song or two that ruins the flow, but when the night ended I realized there wasn't one bad song in his set. It was high-energy from beginning to end...and, most importantly, the dance floor was packed all night. We have gotten nothing but rave reviews from our guests (both our friends and our parents' friends) and we're super proud about having had DJ Wade/OtherBrother as our DJ. We felt much cooler than we are!

wedding reception!!! I was shocked that it only took the guests barely one full song to get into the groove and everyone was on the dance floor in costumes!! The guest were so surprised when break dancers joined the party...they are still talking about it!! SO FUN!
