e called, emailed, and texted several times, but still no response…..

us owners, who were absolutely wonderful - but since the change in ownership, everything has gone downhill. Josh was incredibly unprofessional from start to finish. He never introduced himself to me (the bride) and the only time he spoke to us was to deliver our bar bill - which he didn’t get to us until the very end of the night, and it was incorrect and had to be changed multiple times, making us late to everything else we had planned afterward. Communication throughout the process was non existent. Literally no emails or calls/texts back.  Like many others have said in their reviews, don’t expect to get your damage deposit back. He will find reasons to charge you for things outside of your contract and make the process unnecessarily difficult. It’s been over a mont and we have heard NOTHING from him.  The only reason our wedding day ran smoothly was because of our coordinator, Charity, who was absolutely amazing. She does not work for the venue, but she went above and beyond to make sure everything went as planned. Without her, the day would have been a completely different story. There are so many beautiful venues that actually care about their couples - please, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. This place is not worth the stress, money, or frustrations.

on wasn’t just poor, it was nonexistent, as he prioritized his DJ business over the venue. Once we finally got in contact with him, he insisted that we pity the fact he only gets three hours of sleep a night.. The abysmal cummication continued right up to the day of the wedding. Josh decided to inform the bride and groom, the morning of their wedding day, that their bar balance was $10 more per person than previously discussed. And once he dropped that ball, he left… leaving one single employee to sort out the mess. The venue itself was completely understaffed and failed to uphold several pieces of their own contract. 1. There was no parking attendant, which resulted in a family member having to park all of the guests’ vehicles. 2. No one to checked on/cleaned the restrooms the entire night. 3. The table layout was incorrect, even though they were given a very simple 4x4 table diagram weeks before. 4. We were suppose to have refrigerators to store the leftover food- nothing. Luckily the caterers were able to provide food storage. 5. And finally, there was dog poop all over the property that they never picked up prior. There was a long list of unfulfilled promises and unnecessary stress throughout the entire process with Josh. It’s so unfortunate to watch terrible management run such a beautiful venue right into the ground.

. In May/June this year (2025), the property and business were sold…leading to the demise of a beautiful location and stellar reputation. The reviews post sale are the complete opposite of the reviews pre-sale. Wedding parties should be informed of the current owners’ dismissive and inconsiderate attitudes and actions. Lack of communication is an understatement. Josh, one of the owners and “main contact”, had a lot of excuses (getting tires changed, hit a deer, his co-owners aren’t responding, can’t figure out a spreadsheet, lack of sleep, still getting everything figured out, etc.) as to why he couldn’t meet, reply to a text or email or simply pick up the phone. The stress and anxiety this caused my niece, her new husband, my sister and additional family was unnecessary and avoidable. The “contract” Billie and Ryan had my niece sign made many promises. Verbal assurances were also made in answer to questions we had during the tour. Broken promises included: • “Tables and white wedding chairs setup to your specifications, and our team will have them all set up before you arrive on wedding day” ~ Did not happen… fortunately groomsmen arrived early and were able to complete this task. • “Ample sized gravel parking lot with lights, and team member to help guests find their spot” ~ On the actual day, a “team member” informed the bridal party they all parked “wrong” upon arrival, and an uncle of the groom had to re-park cars and instruct arriving guests where to park. • We were told bathrooms are thoroughly cleaned and checked frequently for cleanliness ~ 150 guests and bathrooms were never looked at once by OTV staff… need I say more? • Bar invoice sent to my niece and her husband at 5:00 am on the day of the wedding totaling $2000 more than the quoted estimate ~ Imagine the immediate anxiety for a young couple with a set budget… • Josh’s dogs were loose upon arrival and feces was left on the grounds for my niece and her wedding party to dodge while photographs were taken ~ Disgusting. The list of disappointments was significant… the bartender drank alcohol and charged guests different/random amounts for hard liquor, requested draping was not arranged prior to arrival as stated, a vaping OTV team member (thought to be another owner) who also appeared to be drinking alcohol, drove the golf cart. Unfortunately Over the Vines is now in the hands of owners who do not appreciate the importance of the cost, planning and coordination of the entire Wedding Day for many couples and their families. With the asinine question “isn’t everyone having fun now?” when concerns were brought up in the evening to a different owner (not Josh…he had an event that night to DJ), it was very apparent he believed loud music and dancing eliminated all the angst and stress my niece, her husband and our family experienced. It did not. I do not recommend this venue.
