literally did not receive ONE phone call the entire week before my wedding from a vendor. As any bride knows, this is one of the most stressful weeks in your life; without Durga, this stress-free week would not have been possible. I was initially nervous about planning a traditonal Indian wedding that spanned the course of two days and involved nearly 300 people; on top of that, it was challenging for me to plan my wedding in Cleveland as I was working in another city at time. Durga came highly recommended to me by family friends living in Cleveland. And after my initial consultation with her, I understood why -- she was extremely professional, experienced, and was also the owner of Patra Designs (her Floral Decor company). She was full of creative ideas and put me and my family at ease that she would take care of every small detail on the day of the wedding. She already knew several of the vendors I had chosen, and had worked in the venue my wedding would be occurring. She offered several different options of event coordination and management; I chose the "week before the wedding" package as I had already hired the majority of vendors by the time I had met her. (She does offer a full A to Z wedding package as well.) Even though she was obligated to take over the planning portion the week before the wedding, Durga started to contact all my vendors and organize details a month before the wedding. She was always very easy to get a hold of and always receptive to my ideas and vision. She offered several creative ideas to really make my wedding stand out from others; in fact, she was the one who initially suggested having a Mardi Gras theme for my reception as I was originally from Louisiana.. It was a huge hit at the wedding! She also helped construct my timeline and offered suggestions on decor. She contacted each and every vendor multiple times on my behalf to make sure they knew the timeline and to contact her if they had any questions. One important thing to also mention - since I did not live in Cleveland at the time I was planning my wedding. Durga took the time out on several weekends to meet with me (sometimes at 7:00 AM in the morning!) to go over events, decor, and details. She was truly flexible and understanding to my schedule. This is what really meant the most to me and my family. I will conclude this review by EMPHASIZE that Durga is one of the most HONEST and ethical vendors in the industry. Her price range is completely reasonable and she works with all budgets. She truly kept me and my budget in mind when offering suggestions; she never insisted that I go with one vendor or particular recommendation. Her unbiased opinions were truly appreciated. She was cost conscious and always finding deal for us with all our vendors. On the day of our wedding, everything went smoothly, nothing out of step or out of her timeline. Moreover, all aspects of our wedding had a personal touch: from having a personal attendant all day, to having themes of our logos (and a suprise logo on our dance floor from her), to exiquist floral design, she made our wedding more beautiful than we could ever imagine.
