ervice was not great to say the least. Debbie is very helpful and positive about the dresses she puts on your body, but once the decision was made things started to go downhill. I would suggest not using a check here, they are likely to forget to cash it. After that happened the service got even worse. We were blamed for the mistake made by them, and the rude comments to my mom and sister started. The list goes on with things that didn't go right after I purchased my dress with them. I was told there was no veil there for $200 and that my best option was to get it online. When it got lost in the mail, I had to go to a different store a few days before the wedding to get one. This is when Patricia stepped in and she was a sweet as could be thankfully. Even the alterations didn't go very smooth. The dress was slightly too long and had to be held up while I walked, and the neckline popped out instead of sitting flat. I only mentioned this because it did end up affecting my photos. Overall, as much as I loved my dress, it a was a very stressful experience and didn't really need to be.

s my bridal gown there, which needed some improvements to make it my own but I probably would have had to do that anywhere. I got all of my fittings done right there and the alterations came out very nicely. The alterations were costly! They were almost equivalent to the price of my gown itself! The lady who did my alterations was very nice, the rest of the staff didn’t seem very enthused and were very forgetful/clueless. They were more accommodating before I bought the dress then after I had paid.. sounds typical. During one fitting I was charged the wrong amount for my alterations and then was called saying I actually owe double the cost I had already paid. I sent my husband and his groomsmen there for their tux rentals. We were supposed to receive a discount that I wanted to use on my alterations but it was not accepted. At this point we were so busy with wedding planning I didn't feel like arguing. Someone told me something, and someone else told my husband another thing.... I guess before asking their boss? I'm not sure, but there was some miss communication happening. Our best man was measured when he was in town a few months before the wedding. We picked up his tux for him and brought it to the venue. He ended up having to drive an hour from our wedding venue to patricia south the day of the wedding because his pants were the wrong size. Once he got a new pair of pants and came back to the hotel he realized they forgot to put his vest in the bag and had to make another hour long trip back to patricia south. I guess some things are bound to go wrong when dealing with a full bridal party.

ng dress. Deborah from Patricia South's found the perfect dress for me.. a beautiful Casablanca. Deborah took into account everything I wanted, she treated me like a princess and ensured that all my alterations were completed on time as I only had one week to find my dress. Patricia herself even met with me. The quality of dresses is exceptional and the service is excellent. The store itself is like a fancy tea party that will make any girl feel like royalty. The dresses are all unique and even their "ugliest" dress would have been a "wow" dress at any other bridal store. The dresses are affordable and there is no pressure from any of the staff to purchase a dress. I totally recommend Patricia South's.

And to make matters even worse, my Maid of Honor was also told to "hurry and get here in an hour" in order to try the dress on, but made no mention of the fee until she was in the store with a bridesmaids dress in hand. For a store that advertises as the "Friendliest Shop," they need to seriously reassess that description...

appointment for the following weekend. All of the bridal shops I had gone to before Patricia's South were disappointing. I didn't find one dress that I was happy with. Upon my arrival at Patricia's South, I was sat down in their tea room and consulted as to what I was looking for. I thought it was a very nice touch, as the other places I had been to just asked me briefly when I arrived. The consultant had 5 dresses picked out for me immediately after the consultation, all of which I LOVED! I ended up picking the first one I saw, and never looked back. I couldn't believe what a large selection they had! My dress was ordered and delivered from Spain within 3 months of ordering. I went in for my first fitting 3 months prior to the wedding, and the dress fit almost perfectly without any alterations at all. I went in for a second fitting one month before my wedding and it needed some changes due to weight loss. Thereafter, my fittings were worrisome because I had some "back fat" hanging out of my strapless dress. I am not a big girl, so this was devastating to see. I voices my concerns to the seamstress who promised me she would have it fixed and ready by the wedding date. She decided to move the back down slightly, and it fit perfectly! I was so worried for nothing. Thank goodness I went to a professional bridal shop who kept me on track with all of my fittings. I would highly recommend Patricia's South.

wanted and didn't pick out anything ugly! :) The first dress I tried on was the winner! I did try on four other beautiful dresses, but Laura clearly picked the best one which was the first one. The price was not outrageous at all and we did get a discount for buying the sample dress. Laura also picked out a veil that matched beautifully with my dress. Patricia's South has BEAUTIFUL dresses. Everything is really classy and not cheap looking like other famous bridal stores. On the day of the wedding, everyone kept telling me how my dress was totally different from other dresses and looked so elegant. I want to wear my dress every day! Since I had a great experience with Laura and my dress, I used Patricia's to find my bridesmaids dresses! They were so helpful since a lot of my girls didn't live in town. Again, the first dress that Laura picked out was the winner! All of the dresses there are really fun and pretty. Overall, DEFINITELY use Patricia's if you are shopping for your dress, bridesmaids dress, or even prom dress! I have had several other friends who have bought their wedding dress here and they were all satisfied. The women who did alterations were SO sweet and very helpful. I live in Orlando and they were able to help me out with no problem. Oh and one annoying thing... one of the front desk people was a little snooty. If she just lost the attitude I would have liked her too, but not enough to give it less than 5 stars! :) I love this place!!

he sales associate who helped us made sure she understood my budget and did her best to find a dress that was not an extreme price - I did end up going over by $200, but you only get married once, so I went for it :) I also got my prom dress here in high school, and my Mother purchased her dress for the wedding here as well. Everything worked out great with this awesome dress shop.

the rest of my experience. The dress was great quality and I loved it! I got my bridesmaids dresses there as well. they were reasonably priced. I had one bridesmaid(plus size 18) who they recommended to order a large size(22) , and pay extra for the dress bc of the extra material, after she got the dress, it was HUGE(garbage bag huge) , and they charged her even more to alter it!!!!!! They would not make any exceptions for good faith that they made her pay extra for the dress and then even more to take it away, what a waste!!!!. My advice, go with you instinct or ask one of the seamstresses there what they recommend based on sizes if your an "inbetweener"

iving back there- a 40 minute drive to try the dress on, only to find a new thing wrong with it. My dress experience was definitely the most stressful part of my wedding planning- and it shouldn't have been that way.

e veil was removed from the bag. I did not realize I did not have my veil until the morning of the wedding. They called 30 minutes before I was scheduled to walk down the aisle but it was way too late. I am so disappointed in their customer service because they never offered to courier the dress to me the night before the weddding. After the wedding, I had my mom call the store and the son of the owner was very rude. He said "What do you expect me to do now!" With an attitude. After I returned from my honeymoon, I called to talk to the owner about my refund and she never returned my call. I used Patricia South's because I went to school with the rude son but I will never recommend them again to other brides. When you are in the last few days of your wedding planning process you need your vendors to do their job. It is impossible to double and triple check everything. The seamstress Maria was amazing and she did a wonderful job altering my dress.

nds, my dress was too big because I lost a lot of weight I was worrying that she would mess up my dress during alteration because I heard a lot of stories but I had a completely different experience. My dress did not even look like it was altered. The staffs were amazing

hey either lost my appointment or forgot to schedule it in the system. When I arrived, they were not prepared for me. I waited for half and hour while the bridal consultants "argued" in clear ear shot who would take me. Needless to say, I was rubbed the wrong way! Once my bridal consultant was chosen, the appointment turned around. Thank goodness because I was ready to throw in the towel and go elsewhere! After all the drama, I did end up finding my dress at the salon during my initial visit. I was personally greeted by Patricia apologizing for the sequence of events. She assured me that my future encounters would be a lot better. I held her to her word and Patricia South's did not disappoint from the moment I picked my dress to the moment I picked up my dress to get married! There was a little drama with my original consultant no longer working at the salon and never truly being assigned a new consultant, but I pressed forward for the sake of my wedding dress. We also rented the groomsmen tuxes from Patricia South's. The experience with the tuxes was nothing short of superb. O'Shane was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. He even endured a last minute change with the groom's tux like a champ! I would definitely tread carefully if choosing to use Patricia South's. It can be hit or miss as far as customer service goes. My overall experience was good; however, we did get off to a very rocky start. If I hadn't been personally addressed by Patricia, I probably would have chosen to go elsewhere.

vice bridal salon - they pull dresses for you, help you into them, etc. I worked with pretty much everyone there, and they were all great! My first appointment was with Shelley - she is awesome. Makes you feel comfortable, listens to what you say, etc. Although I didn't find THE dress on my first visit, we narrowed it down to the silhouette I wanted. I ended up coming in a couple of weeks later, on a Saturday (without an appointment) and Amy happened to be available to help me. (I do suggest making an appointment). Amy was super sweet, and Deb also assisted with my appointment as she had finished with hers. I ended up finding THE dress - Amy had chosen it for me and I knew it was the one right away. For whatever reason, my dress took forever to come in. Ordered it in the beginning of December, wedding was in May, and it arrived 8 days before my wedding. I dealt with Erin a lot at this point. I was stressed, but she kept reassuring me. She's also super friendly. I must have called every day to check on it and they always calmed me down. It finally arrived, needed minimal alterations (just a bustle and the neckline altered) and I got so many compliments on it. Would I buy from them again? Absolutely. Would I chose a different dress designer? Absolutely. My dress was one of Patricia's Gowns and I heard a rumor that that is the reason it took so long to arrive. Either way, I was very impressed with everyone at Patricia South and would recommend them to anyone looking!

Patricia South has a wide selection of beautiful dresses and gowns for all occasion. The Owner, Patricia is an Amazing and talented Woman. She was always there with a beautiful smile greeting her brides-to-be and their bridal party and going above and beyond to meet all of their needs including mine. With no regrets I am so thankful and beyond satisfied with my wedding gown. Thank you so much Patricia and my Bride Consultant Amy. I was beautifully stunning on April 14th, 2012. od for me. She never tried to oversell any dress and I felt she was very honest with her opinions. I ended up falling in love with the dress I purchased, and I think it was the right one for me-- so I say, trust your girl (with your mom's or MOH's opinion too, of course)! After the purchase, however, I never really heard from Laura again. I had to be the one to call Patricia South to see when my dress would be getting in because no one called me, even after the expected dress arrival date came and went. And there was some issue with it not shipping, so them having to use one from some closet or something. But in the end, the dress itself was gorgeous and I have no regrets. My seamstress, Maria, could not have been any sweeter and she was such a doll to work with me through 2 fittings. The quality of my dress was fantastic and it fit me perfectly. I just felt that after the initial purchase, the service level dropped off a bit. And I have a suspicion that my very sweet seamstress worked with me to make changes to my dress that Patricia South would ordinarily prefer to charge me for-- even though the 2nd fitting was due to a slight defect in the dress itself and not to anything having to do with a personal choice (the bottom hem had to be let out a little on one side because it was uneven the way it came). But taking everything into account, I am still very happy that I used Patricia South and I would recommend them to any bride, and especially to a bride on a budget. My Patricia South designed dress looked like it cost a lot more than I paid, in my opinion, which is always a good thing!

aises. Stacey was the wonderful woman that helped me find my wedding dress. FYI- Stacey is no longer working there, and they are very shady in hiding this fact! I ordered my dress in August for an April wedding. I was told it would be in by January. Come mid-Feb it actually arrived. I asked to come in on a Friday to try it on and they requested that I wait until Tuesday, because they want your original consultant to help you try it on. Sounded great to me, Stacey had helped me find it to begin with! Went in Tuesday, to find that Stacey left the place a few months prior!?! The saleswoman tried to have me just take the dress home. I told her I would like to try it on (obviously!!) and she asked that I sign the release saying I took my dress first, just so she didn't forget. Foolishly I did, not thinking anything of it. So I finally try it on and they thing is literally falling off of me. I'm floored and can't believe the size is sooo off. Patricia's daughter-in-law comes in to handle the situation. She actually tells me that it's my fault as they only make recommendations when they measure you and tell you the size. It is ultimately my decision which size I choose even after they measure you, read the designers dress chart and tell you which size!! This isn't choosing a wrong size, the dress is a a foot and a half too large in the waist & bust. And of course, they are all too happy to tell you how they can fix it perfectly with $500 worth of alterations!!! I ask them to remeasure me and the dress to see if it is the size 6 they recommended. Well lo and behold the dress is mislabeled and actually a size 12. April, Patricia's daughter in law then tells me, "good news, it's not your body the dress was mislabeled". Does a sales woman really think it's ok to tell someone this?!? Regardless, the way things played out, I really believe that they knew the dress that came in was wrong and tried to have me take it without trying on, and have the signed paper so if I left the store it was my responsibility. The right size dress came in about a week and a half later. My Mom paid for the alterations and she wanted them done at Patricia's just so that the dress didn't leave the store and they were always responsible for it. Another $400 in alterations later and the dress was perfect. It definitely took a long, frusterating journey and lots of $$$ later! Maybe this was a fluke, but I DO NOT recommend this place, as no bride needs all of this additional stress!

She brought me into the dressing room, and while we chatted about the groom, the wedding plans, etc., she put me into a bunch of different dress. She made me feel totally comfortable and gorgeous, and didn't pressure me to buy anything. In fact, we narrowed it to two, and she sent me home to sleep on it. I ended buying the magazine dress (the more expensive of the two, of course, but that was totally my choice). I also had my alterations done at Patricia's. The seamstress was helpful and quick, and everything was precisely the way I wanted it on my wedding day.

size. We tried on a dress in a size 8. I am not a small girl but I am not large. I wear a size 10 in everyday clothing. Which is a 12 or 14 in bridal. I told her I didn't want to try on any 8's because that is like a 4 in the real world. She acted like she had no big sizes. I left the store in tears. This was the worst experience of my entire life and I urge everyone not to shop here. When we were leaving the manager asked what was wrong and she said that they have plenty of big siZes. My dad stepped in and said it was too late.

The first being; when you are ready for your dress to be altered you no longer see the original staff member. You are apparently supposed to know to go upstairs and deal with the people up there. We were not transferred appropriately. Second, one of the staff members is not very pleasant to work with and if she had been with me I might have not purchased the dress. One of my bridesmaids had to deal with her on one occasion: we were told to have measurements taken by the staff at Patricia's to ensure proper sizing of the bridesmaid dresses. When my bridesmaid came into the store for measurements, this particular staff member was rude and gave her an attitude. Lastly, I loved the woman that altered my dress. She was sweet, cute,funny, had every alteration ready on time and perfect and made my time at Patricia's even more enjoyable. At my final fitting the underskirt that was added needed to be hemmed and she said it would be hemmed prior to the dress being steamed for pickup one week later. When I put my dress on the day of my wedding, 5 minutes before I had to walk down the aisle, I noticed it was not hemmed. All in all I had a pleasant experience at Patricia's and Patricia herself spoke with me and she seems very nice. I am still in love with my dress and can't get enough of it! I would go back and buy another dress but before leaving with it I will make sure it is altered appropriately.

ted at first, but my consultant, Stacey, was great. I showed her photos of what I liked and she pulled some dresses for me to try on. She also offered to order the Pronovias gown that I wanted to try on (I declined, but appreciated the offer). Stacey really knows her stuff, especially when it comes to indecisive brides. She gave me the best advice I ever got when trying on wedding dresses: always compare to the one you like the most; That way, you don't end up with 10 dresses that you're considering. I picked probably the 4th or 5th dress she brought me (Maggie Sottero - Ambrosia). I didn't purchase a dress during that appointment because I had another dress appointment later that day in Miami, but that second appointment was a DISASTER. The woman shoved me into a tiny little dressing room (wedding dresses are BIG... you need big dressing rooms) that had a vacuum and other random cleaning supplies in it and pulled the dress over me while I was still wearing my jeans. The lighting was horrible, I swear the air conditioning was broken and the dress I left without a beautiful dress because the experience was THAT bad. My point in giving these details are as a point of comparison for Patricia South's Bridal. Stacey gave us a tour, offered us something to drink, talked to me about my engagement and future husband, offered advice on dresses, let me try on veils and jewelry to give me the full look of being a bride and more. Anyway, after the bad appointment in Miami, we called Patricia South's and asked if Stacey could squeeze me in to try on one last time the dress I was going to buy. She squeezed us in, I tried on the dress and bought it. We also bought my veil here. The alterations department was great, too. Very experienced and knowledgeable. They took in my dress a little and did a really nice bustle on a very large train. :) We also got a discount on the dress (15 percent, I think) if we ordered six tuxes from their tux shop, PLUS we'd get the groom's tux for free. We definitely took advantage of this. The tux shop was great, too. Very professional and helpful, from what my husband told me.
