In my opinion, if you are considering hiring Petit Four Films for your wedding or event, run FAR away. We chose the Forever Package & did not receive many things our contract stated.
We were not allowed to meet with your videographer until the... week of the event. We met a few days before the wedding & set up a schedule. When we were finally able to meet with the videographer, he, my husband, & I came to the decision that the videographer was going to arrive at 11AM & begin filming at 11:30AM. It was not until 12:14 where I received a text saying “Be there soon”. He eventually showed up about 20 minutes before we left for the church. Being a full hour late, and not getting much ‘getting ready’ footage, I was hoping he would stay the full 10 hours I paid for. Unfortunately, he let us know at 9:30pm that he was leaving and did not stay the promised amount of time.
Not to mention, we were also promised two hidden microphones, and there was only one that was clearly visible.
The contract also promised a live zoom stream allowing family members and friends to watch the ceremony who were unable to make it. I filled out all the zoom information in the initial form. The videographer let us know that he would be able to set up the zoom, but it was not set up the day of. We had family and friends all over the United States who would have loved to tune in & were not able to. This is something I could not get back.
Lastly, we were very disappointed to not see a drone. The day before the wedding, the videographer let us know that he was incapable of filming with a drone & would have someone else come out the day after to film. We assumed when we received the film back that the team would follow through, but nope. Another unfulfilled promise.
It’s December 22rd and I just received the raw footage USB today. (Over SIX MONTHS after our wedding day) We were sent the trailer and full film via dropbox about 2 months after the wedding. After watching the film completely, we realized the editing was absolutely awful. At one part of the film I, the bride, was walking down the aisle and the clip shown was the front of the church (???) Why not show the bride walking down the aisle? it doesn’t make sense. This was one of many questionable edits.
It was not until after I received the raw footage and saw the team took the easy route.
I would’ve just hired the videographer separately if I knew this would be the outcome. For example, instead of using the manned camera footage of the first dances with more interesting angles and better quality, the team simply added the unmanned, (in my opinion,) poor quality, one angle camera footage. It was awful. I mentioned this to a concierge and we were given a partial refund, but it wasn’t much compared to all the trouble we were put through.
Regarding editing, the first red flag shoud’ve been that they sent me the video through dropbox and not Wipster.
I ultimately ended up taking the raw footage myself and re-edited the entire film in a matter of four days.
I believe this team is unprofessional, and not skilled in video editing.
Update: Petit Four Films did reach out after posting this review and offered to re-edit the whole film along with other ways to fix the situation.
