We talked to the wedding planner upon our arrival, she admitted that we were there on time as she said that she was familiar with our communications, and contract, and that she would confirm this with the bride. There was one voicemail from the planner, and two from the maid of honor, while we were in transit to the ceremony (again addressed with the planner upon our arrival) not dozens as the bride mentions. The bride says that we were a couple of hours past the original arrival time. This is completely false. We arrived within the exact 30 minute window that we said that we would arrive. Her expectation that we were to arrive 4 1/2 hours before the serving time is simply a mistake on her part as this is not anything we communicated or put in writing. As for the service we were directed to be set on the side of the tent far away from the location for the cocktail hour. The DJ who we were set up next to told us that the bride had directed him to make an announcement at the beginning that guests were not allowed to leave the cocktail area during the cocktail hour. Meanwhile we were completely setup with a buffet style appetizer service and no guests ventured over to us. We did not see or hear from the planner for two hours after our arrival so on our own initiative our staff carried platters of appetizers to the cocktail area to pass them to guests. We strongly dispute the bride's characterization of our Charcuterie & Cheese Boards as she would only have seen them near the end of the cocktail hour and not when freshly prepared. That is like judging a cake by how it looks an hour after it has been cut up and served. We even snapped photos of the Charcuterie & Cheese Boards from this wedding as we thought they looked good before the service began and would be happy to forward them to anyone that would like to see. As for the plates we were provided no guidance by the planner or anyone else and would never on our own advise guests to take plates off the settings on the tables so yes we put out our own plates, and than took them away when advised to do so. As for jelly beans, yes we put out a small bowl of jelly beans among the Charcuterie & Cheese Board assortment. It is simply a fun thing we like to do. We generally get numerous positive comments from do so at every event including many guests from this wedding. Considering the mean spirited nature of this review it is no surprise that this bride is the first person in our 9 years in business to have anything bad to say about jelly beans. The bride did ask our staff member for a pizza server but in a manner and tone that was rude and intimidating to the young lady. So it was I the owner who addressed her and the comment she put into quotes is a complete falsehood for my response. I did say "I am sorry we do not just help yourself to whatever you like". We do not provide those pie shaped utensils for serving pizza, have never done so, and over 9 years have gotten very few requests for them. We find them to be an ineffective tool and much worse to serve yourself with a utensil touched by 100 people than to pick up a sliced or two on your own. Unfortunately this bride seemed primed to be unhappy. The bartender and DJ each discussed similar issues in their relations with the bride. I stand by what we do as an excellent mobile wood fired pizza service with a nice assortment of other foods such as salads, and appetizers, with a buffet style service, and budget friendly pricing. I would also like to pass along high praise to the bride's father. He was friendly and helpful in assisting us in getting setup in a tight spot upon our arrival. The work he put in preparing the wedding site on his property was amazing.
