I mean, it takes a special person to do this job (who in the right mind actually WANTS to take on the stress of someone else's wedding - a stranger's wedding nonetheless?). Well, she is that kind of special person. Her organizational skills and her assertive yet kind-hearted personality were her best assets. During our consultation, she asked me a myriad of things that I never would have considered until probably the day of the wedding, or worse, during my wedding! From simple things, like making sure someone was assigned to take the gifts home, to taking on the arduous task of setting up a million candlesticks all over the reception hall and painstakingly cutting flowers off its stems to put one in each holder, she really left no stone unturned. She was also so helpful during our rehearsal - it couldn't have been easy with a wedding party of 15, but she patiently helped us come up with the best possible configuration for our wedding processional. A few things that stick out in my mind -- Jill rushing to my aid when my dress bustle broke, having to put her in charge of settling out our late night food tab last minute when the credit card machines went down and we had to leave (long story, but we entrusted her with our credit card and she emailed us first thing the next morning to let us know how everything concluded), and her going above and beyond days AFTER our wedding to stop by our apartment and drop off all the decor that she had gathered and stored for us. I couldn't imagine how differently the day could have gone if I didn't have Jill in charge. For those that are on the fence about hiring a coordinator, it's 150% worth the money. The stress and relief that is lifted off your shoulders, as well as your bridesmaids, is quite tangible and allows you to able to enjoy your day without worry. Jill's warm personality coupled with her take-charge attitude were just the things I needed in a day-of-coordinator and she exceeded all of my expectations. Thank you so much Jill!

a ball game with or grab a cocktail with does not mean she was anything other than utterly professional. I watched with awe as she carefully corralled a crazy aunt and interacted with my vendors. When my caterer was late, she literally set the tables-which had been his job. My makeup artist commented after a phone call from Jill (they had never met) how much she loved my wedding planner. I cannot say enough about her uncanny ability to be both extremely professional and to get people to do what they need to do-all while making people love her. She has a rare gift.Our only regret was that we did not get her full services. Jill could have saved us a lot of confusion and time. The day of my outdoor wedding, it was ninety degrees. I would occasionally catch glimpses of Jill in the background-hauling heavy buckets of sand from the reception, corralling guests to see the first dance-she didn't stop. She worked harder than she needed to when no one was watching. This last part I cannot stress enough. I was a calm bride-no nerves the weeks before. I did not need everything to go perfectly. But it did. NOT because everything fell perfectly in place. Because Jill handled everything quietly-protecting me from any problem that may have got my attention. This was a profound experience for me-to have someone protect me from hearing about problems, to not have to be the one to rush in and fix something. I can never, never repay her for the memory of what that felt like. I cannot imagine what the day would have been like without her (I don't want to). In short, Jill will corallcrazy aunts and rush in when someone else fails to pull their own weight. She will get people to do their jobs, bridesmaids to fall in place-all while treating people with a kind, genuine, professional manner that is exactly, exactly what a bride needs on her wedding day.
