Plume & Proper is a boutique design studio specializing in refined wedding paper goods and handwritten calligraphy that captures the essence of who you are and the love you're celebrating. We believe your wedding begins the moment your guests first learn of it, making show-stopping invitations all the more necessary. We work one-on-one with you to create highly personalized invitations that are exclusive to your event, featuring custom illustrations, modern calligraphy and other design elements, all tailored especially to your love story. Working with a professional means we are here to take the guesswork out of the invitation process, helping with proper etiquette and wording, making your paper and printing choices clear, using our vendor network to source the highest quality materials, and of course, communicating with you through the entire process. We handle everything from design and print to white glove assembly, giving you peace of mind and the ability to sit back and enjoy your engagement season. Our custom design services also include handwritten signage, printed day-of stationery, and finishing touches of calligraphy. Examples of these services include welcome signs, seating charts, signature cocktail menus, printed programs, table numbers, place cards, remembrance signs, and more. We are highly experienced in writing on alternative surfaces such as acrylic, mirrors, leather, fabric, even cakes! We reserve Day-of signage and calligraphy services for our custom invitation clients in order to provide the most custom experience possible. Our Custom Clients typically spend between $5,000 to $10,000 on all stationery, from Invitations to Day-of Details (signage, table numbers, etc). The average total investment is $7,000, with a typical turnaround time of 9 weeks for Custom Invitations, and 6 weeks for Day-of Details.
