I worked for 4-1/2 years in the fine dining/catering business, & my now-husband was very familiar w/how a bar business works, so when we started looking for caterers for our wedding we had a good idea of what we should expect. Unfortunately..., we did not find that w/this vendor. While the proprietor's approach to food is quite creative—which is what originally caught our eye—she employs a bait & switch tactic. We were told that for what we wanted—a cocktail-style reception w/just wine & beer—it would be around $28-35/person. We were quite pleased w/that & w/her guidance, chose a menu. Imagine our surprise when she then told us that our food alone would be $50-75/person! When we asked her to price her individual dishes so that we could choose only dishes to add up to our budget, she told us that she doesn't do business that way. We went elsewhere.
