Poppy Things is owned by formally trained fashion designer, Chelsey Sawallich. Chelsey achieved her B.F.A. in Fashion Design from the Pamella Roland DeVos School of Fashion of Kendall College of Art & Design in Grand Rapids, MI. While Chelsey works towards developing her made in Michigan fashion brand, Poppy Things, as a bride herself she noticed a shortage of bridal seamstresses and alteration specialists in the Northern Michigan region.
Customer service is her top priority while serving her clients. From her precise attention to detail to her drapery and pattern-making skills, she is devoted to making sure you feel as comfortable and beautiful as you deserve on the big day.

Chelsey did an absolutely beautiful job tailoring my bridesmaid dress, and she was super kind and helpful with everything! She was also able to finish the dress quickly, which was super awesome and made wedding preparation less stressful. I would recommend her to anyone, she does amazing work and is extremely thoughtful!
