ding was just as good -- if not better from when we tried it over a year ago. We wanted the whoopie pies individually boxed for each guest, the bakery even did it for us! We really wanted an almond torte and tried many in the city, none even came close to Potomac! So happy, I would highly recommend.

This by far is the best cake I've ever had. Many in the Pittsburgh area will rave about Oakmont Bakery being good...but Potomac is even better. They have such a wide array of flavors for the filling and are very easy to work with.

ng flowers had a LOT of flowers, but mine had three per layer. Womp, womp. If you can get over how it looks though and are solely just in it for the taste, I'd still say this is the best place to go.

entioned red velvet, they didn't hesitate to grab one from the freezer. We at first wanted to do a small 2 tier cake and a sheet cake for guests to save money, we wanted red velvet for that and a vanilla with filling for the guests and then totally changed our plans and they were so accommodating. Because of our changes, they wanted us to come back in again to finalize everything and offered another cake testing, which I thought was really nice. I took a picture of a cake from a Dean & Deluca with grape vines all over it and our cake turned out even more beautiful than the picture we wanted it to resemble. The cake was moist, filling wonderful and the icing was as good as usual. I plan on using Potomac Bakery for everything cakes and cookies from here on out. Also, very important....they are soooo reasonably priced. Most other cake places we tried were about $75-$100 more than Potomac Bakery. A+ job!
I used Potomac Bakery in Dormont for a groom's cake. They were able to create a fabulous cake that looked like the University of Michigan's football helmet. My groom loved it! It was delicious as well!
Cake was delicious, price was very reasonable. The staff was very helpful and attentive. However, cake did lean a bit on the wedding day - we cut it as soon as we got to the reception, might have fell over otherwise.
