Food was very good! There were a couple of communication issues in the beginning, we had changed our menu after a meeting with the owner but when we had our taste test, it was the original menu so we didn't actually get to taste everything prior to the wedding. Anyways, we ended up getting that fixed and the food itself was delicious at our wedding! Some guests did mention that their food was a little cold but that was really the only downside.
BEST DECISION EVER! Planning and working with Pam was an incredible journey. Pam is the consummate professional. ALWAYS available for each decision, from food to linens to timeline to coordinating with other vendors. Her execution on the day of the wedding was FLAWLESS, her food was beyond PHENOMENAL, her staff was A+++, the food presentation was STUNNING! Every guest was blown away. PERFECT MENU, PERFECT EXECUTION. The product was beyond my expectation, and working with Pam was one of the greatest professional experiences of my lifetime!
Working with Pam and the entire staff at Provence Catering was one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life. From the very beginning of our wedding planning process, Pam was helpful, knowledgeable, kind, and accessible. We were planning from a different state at first, and she spent time on the phone with us going over each detail, asking questions, and providing insight that neither of us would have possibly had. She and her staff created a low-waste, vegan wedding for us with a menu that was truly INCREDIBLE! Pam also worked directly with our rentals team so we didn't have to worry about chairs, linens, tents, or lights. At the tasting, Pam was incredible generous and I'm pretty sure I cried at how beautiful the food was. Leading up to the wedding, she was there every time I had a question, concern, or needed advice. On the day of, she worked with my other vendors to set everything up. Her staff was so nice, professional, and felt like part of the family. She made sure our day was the most beautiful day imaginable, and I truly don't know what we would have done without her. We love Pam so much and would recommend her to everyone!

Our overall experience with Provence was very good. Pam is responsive and generally fun to work with. We were impressed with the quality of food and the value we received. Pam also provides some very sound wedding advice.
Our only complaint was that the captain in charge of service for our wedding seemed to have difficulty handling some of the unexpected things that happened during the evening. While we were able to work this out, we felt it required a bit too much effort on our part. That being said, our guests were delighted and we received many, many compliments on the food. And Pam, a true professional, was open to our feedback. Overall, it was a lovely evening. At the end of day, we would recommend Provence.
We used provence Catering for our wedding at the Grounds for Sculpture on June 29, 2013. They food was fantastic and the service was impecable!
Provence Catering made our wedding... well, exceptional. It poured buckets of rain and with all the small personal details/touches we had for our big day, they really made everything work. Chef Pamela and her team were excellent in every aspect; professional, attentive and helpful. They addressed all weather related issues immediately without hesitation, which just confirmed how much they cared about our day. All of our guests raved about the food and cake- ALL delicious, delicious, delicious. The planning process with Provence was convenient as Chef Pamela was both accessible and flexible, able to accommodate our needs and make changes at any time. To work with a caterer who cares as much as you do, from start to finish was truly a breath of fresh air. We cannot wait to plan another event just we can work with Provence again. Amazing summer wedding in the rain!
We were married on 10/27/12 at Grounds for Sculpture in Hamilton, NJ. We met Pamela Horowitz of Provence Catering at a GFS wedding event at which other caterers were featured. We instantly connected with Pam and knew we wanted her to cater our wedding. At our first meeting, months later she remembered every detail we had discussed that night including our favorite foods and our complicated family tree involving 7 parents and step-parents!
Pam was patient throughout the entire process and worked with us to pick not only our food but the lighting, chairs and linens. She was very communicative with my husband and I and punctual. During our meetings, we always felt that we were her most imporant client and nothing was ever rushed. We literally spent over 4 hours with her at our tasting!
The food- We were 100% satisfied and beyond with their food! Everything from the taste down to the presentation was impressive. Pam did an amazing job at incorporating our favorite foods including mac n' cheese, pigs in a blanket, quesadillas, chicken satay, beef wellington and sushi into our menu while being very open to tweaking items to keep the price down. Additionally, the Provence team added their unique and special touches to each appetizer, making them far from ordinary! We had a land and sea duo of salmon and short ribs for our main course which was delicious! I sent Pam a photograph of a design I liked for our wedding cake and they were able to do the same design. Four months later, we still have friends and family raving about our delicious red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting.
The quality of service that Provence Catering provides is definitely worth the pricetag. Did we spend a lot of money? Yes, however we were able to cut corners in other areas in order to provide everyone with fabulous food and service the entire evening.
Lastly, every staff member at Provence Catering was both helpful and very animated. You can tell that staff are treated with respect and that they genuinely enjoy their jobs.

I don't even know where to start the praises for Pam and Provence. From the start, Pam was on the ball, completely responsive all the time and wanted to tailor the entire day to what my husband and I wanted. She met us and my parents and completely made my vision come to life from day one. Because of the place, I needed to get rental furniture/plates/glasses/etc from her as well. She sat down and made the entire process as easy as ever! She is so detail-oriented and knowledgable about what people like and ways to make our day special.
The food was top notch. Everything was customizable and we ended up having a big cocktail party with stations that were open for a few hours so people could eat when they wanted. I couldn't ask for more positive feedback on the food and since I actually made time to eat (her staff is very attentive and made my husband and I a plate) I can atest to the fact that the food was out of this world!
If you want an awesome party, awesome food and work with awesome people...Provence is your caterer
Delivering sumptuous food, elegantly and creatively presented and served by an impeccable and courteous staff at our daughter's wedding recption in July 2012,was the easy part of the job for Pam Horowitz and Provence Catering. Dealing with 4 strong-willed individuals, each of whom had their own idea of what they wanted was the real challenge. Pam was uncanny in guiding each of us to discovery what was important and what was not. She preevnted many a family argument. Generous with her time, Pam listens and is creative in helping achieve event goals. She never pushed us to go beyond our budget but was creative in finding ways to maximize the budget . She has the patience of Job. I do not know how many times we changed the menu. She is responsive-always getting back to us the same day, usually in hours if not minutes. Day of she was there until the last guest left, effortlessly and calmly dealing with the inevitable problems that arise and seamlessly coordinating with the other vendors. Pam's goal was not for her to stand out but to give our daughter the day she (and we) wanted and the smiles in the wedding picutes prove she did just that. A consumate professional. Pam is simply the best.

Without question, planning a wedding is a big deal. We had chosen Grounds for Sculpture in Hamilton, New Jersey as the ideal venue for our daughter’s wedding. We were provided a list of preferred caterers from which we had to choose. I set about calling/e-mailing each one. Provence Caterers was the first to get back to me, same day as a matter of fact and weeks ahead of the others. Following a terrific first conversation with Pamela (the owner), an appointment to meet was scheduled. I met with Pam and her assistant and I must say, from the get go….it was a WOW!!!!! She totally “got me” and knew where I was coming from. Our conversation was easy; it just flowed. She listened well to what I was looking for and expecting. Her suggestions back to me were exciting and refreshing. And, it didn’t end there. Upon my request, she confidently recommended other vendors in the area for me to explore. By the time I left, I was flying high. Her credibility as an accomplished caterer was quickly established as she freely related her prior work experience in the catering world, which by the way was quite impressive and extensive. She clearly knew her stuff. She appeared genuine, caring and charismatic. There was no doubt about it….I wanted Pamela Horowitz on board then and there!
The communication between the two of us and my family over the next few months was nothing short of fantastic…timely, efficient and honest. As the date drew closer and with big decisions on the line, I often deferred to her expertise and let her guide me through the rough waters. Big dreams, not a whole lot of money trees in the backyard! Her guidance and sensitivity towards where dollars should be sent was not only reasonable but also accurate and kept our budget very close to where it was set. She certainly knows what it takes to have a fabulously orchestrated, DELICIOUS and beautiful event!!!!
A few more words….
The vendors Pam had recommended were all fantastic. I thought of them as my “DREAM TEAM.” In particular, the energy and creativity shared between the florist and Pamela was brilliant. Faced with a room space change (a new and larger room had just been completed and no events had yet taken place in that room) and a daunting art exhibition (which was in the process of being installed) around which they had to work, the two of them brainstormed and completed a magazine worthy room/tableware design!
The professionalism shown by Pamela and her staff was extraordinary. The food presentations were incredible. Each scrumptious hors d’oeuvres was uniquely displayed. Guests with certain food restrictions were attended to. They didn’t miss a beat. The bride and groom were lavished with attention and no request was unanswered by the staff. In fact, they often anticipated our needs. At the end of the evening, the staff was there to see that all had been put back into place and that our belongings were with us. I have nothing but praise for Pamela Horowitz and her staff at Provence Catering.

My wife and I had met with several caterers as we were planning our wedding day. Chef Pam and Provence catering were the ONLY ones to take into consideration what we wanted. She incorporated everything that we had discussed even things that were not food related. She made planning that part of our wedding very easy. On the day of, her staff was amazing. Our personal server, Ron, was on top of everything and ensured that we had an opportunity to try everything even though we were very busy. Even now, 2 months later, we are still hearing about how great the food and service was at our wedding. Thank you Provence Catering and a big THANK YOU to Chef Pam!!!! We plan on using Provence and Chef Pam for all of our catering needs in the future and we highly recommend others do the same!
Pam, Millie and staff were great. Due to the Elkins Estate creating so many issues and problems, Pam and company stepped in to help clean up the mess and still managed to get the cocktail and reception room ready on time.
