Rabbi Chava made our wedding ceremony more special than we could have ever imagined. She took time in the months before our wedding to really get to know us and to help my husband-to-be and I get to truly understand why we wanted to get marrie...d to each other and what we wanted out of our marriage. We had all of our meetings via Skype or phone call, because we live in New York. While it would have been lovely to meet in person beforehand, I felt well taken care of even remotely. Rabbi Chava's ideas and suggestions took our ceremony from a general joining of two people to a whole different world. She brought in our parents, our grandparents, and all the people in attendance - we were all participants and it was magical. My husband is Jewish and I am Christian and our ceremony mostly followed Jewish tradition, but Chava was very open to any ideas we had (like my best friends reading a poem) or having our 14 wedding attendants recite the seven blessings in both English and Hebrew. And she went to great lengths to make sure that all of our guests (who were mostly Christian) understood exactly why we did things (like the significance of the chuppah, the breaking of the glass, etc.). Afterwards, I had several friends and family members tell me that our ceremony was the most special, most intimate they had ever seen - and it was! I am so ecstatically happy that we had to honor of being married by Chava. She truly cares about love and unity, not just between the bride and groom, but the love and unity built by all those present at a wedding ceremony.
