Based in Baton Rouge, LA, Rewind Band gets wedding parties to their feet and moving to the beat. This powerhouse of grooves focuses on interacting with each crowd they play to, creating unforgettable memories everywhere they go. With over a decade and a half of experience entertaining weddings of all shapes and sizes, they are one of Louisiana’s most talented and in-demand groups. Featuring a three-piece horn section, soulful vocalists, and a rhythm section of pure funk, Rewind Band never fails to make the dance floor shake. Formed in 2006, the group is composed of professional musicians inspired by everything from the keys of Stevie Wonder to the crooning of Frank Sinatra. Their repertoire is as vast as their shows are energetic and offers everything from hip-shaking disco classics to smooth R’n’B hits. They focus on interacting with guests and make everyone feel like a part of the show. Rewind Band is delighted to bring their brand of roof-raising entertainment to hundreds of weddings a year, and always strive to provide a perfect service. The group brings their won professional standard sound equipment and stage lighting. They also have a lighting technician and sound engineer who ensure each show is a fully-immersive experience for those watching. They will work with couples to create a customized set-list and are happy to learn new songs specially for events.

They were incredibly easy to work with, very responsive over email (which I preferred). They didn't charge a travel fee from Baton Rouge to New Orleans, and were a one stop shop with everything we needed in terms of sound (provided a mic for the officiant at minimal extra cost).

Rewind did not fail us, or our guests, in providing a wonderful and fun evening that suited all ages. The night definitely went too quickly and we were sad to have to say goodbye to Rewind.
We also used Rewind string musicians for our ceremony who did a great job and learned a few new pieces to accommodate our requests. It was helpful having one vendor for both ceremony and reception music and I'd recommend this approach.

Every aspect of working with Rewind was super easy. Mary, their coordinator, always responded to emails promptly, even on weekends or in the middle of the night. They even learned "our song" from high school without hesitation. And one of the best parts of working with Rewind was that they did everything -- from the ceremony music, to the brass band for the second line, to announcing the bridal party and emceeing, they handled everything and we didn't have to hire separate musicians or groups for each thing. We're so glad we went with Rewind!

She coordinates musical entertainment for approximately 90+ events per year and is well known in the area for her prompt customer service and attention to detail. She knows the ins and outs of the music industry for weddings and special events - from reception music to ceremonies to cocktail hours, to New Orleans style Second Line Parades. She works with couples from all over the South to make their weddings special, and most importantly, FUN!
