I contacted Rittner's to get a quote for my wedding florals. Rather than invite me in to share what I was looking for, the consultation was done over the phone. I was asked about my wedding colors which were yellow and gray, to which I was to...ld "there are no gray flowers." Well, no, but there are gray accents you can use such as dusty miller! It was then suggested that I do all white hydrangeas. While it would have saved me a boatload this was not the color or style I had in mind at all, and had they asked me to come in to show them pictures of what I like (since I'm not an expert on flowers and didn't know what a lot of the ones I liked were called) they might have been able to provide a quote I would have liked. Needless to say, I had to turn them down. In addition, I told Rittner's I was having an outdoor reception in August and later learned that hydrangeas are very delicate flowers and would wilt/brown easily if it was a hot day, so I'm not sure why they recommended them at all!
This is probably a good vendor if you really want to save money and can explain your vision over the phone. Their website says they prefer to do more artistic designs so I'm not sure why what they suggested to me was so boring!
