Royal Oak Music Theatre

The one thing I knew I wanted for my wedding was an out-of-the-box venue. I have been to so many weddings inside a standard hall and they all seem the same. After searching for unique wedding venues, we stumbled upon the Royal Oak Music Theatre & I absolutely fell in love. Walking in at first, it might be difficult to envision a wedding layout in the space, but after understanding & seeing pictures, the room transform into, in my opinion, the best type of wedding layout. You walk into the theatre entryway: gorgeous & a large space. We used this space as our entry way and our area for cocktail hour. We had 300 guests & this space was great! You walk over to the biggest bar I have ever seen for a wedding! Our second request for our wedding was a cool bar atmosphere (because we wanted our guests to have the best time) and check that off the box. This bar area is incredible. Not only is it huge, it really is a place for guests to socialize and talk. Most wedding bars – people wait in this huge line, pushing their way up to the 1 or 2 bartenders on staff. This bar is so huge, that everyone can hang around the bar. Since we had 300 guests, we had 4 bartenders & an additional runner – so no one was waiting on a drink. I loved seeing guests hang around the bar & using it to socialize with other guests. Then you look into the theatre, which is set up so no matter where you sit, you get the best seat in the house. The theatre has little slight levels – broken out by a few stairs each. The levels allow all guests to be close to the action and get a great view of the reception events. Sometimes you go to a wedding & can barely see what is happening when you get stuck in the back corner – but that is not the case here. We decided to have the bridal party sit on the stage, which I loved – again because everyone could see us. & you have the biggest dance floor to keep your guests dancing & partying all throughout the night! & you can’t forget having your names outside on the huge, bright sign?! This space is absolutely insane. I have guests telling me over & over again that this was the best wedding that they have ever been too – 300 guests – many been to countless weddings – & this was the most memorable wedding. That right there was what I was looking for – & that is what you will get with the ROMT as your venue!!! But, I can’t forget those that helped me every step of the way to create this amazing wedding: Jessie & Shae. You will work with these fabulous ladies from the minute you ask to visit the venue till a month after your wedding when you are still emailing about how great the night was!!! They are the best to work with. They are so experienced with wedding planning, but also with what works & what doesn’t work in this specific space. They are always open to answer questions & help you with whatever you need like advice, vendors, etc. I worked with them both for almost a year – & they listened to my vision and helped me create that. That made great suggestions & offered a lot especially because I really had no idea what I was doing! I can not say enough good words about the venue, Jessie & Shae. My guests continuously talk about our wedding & it is two months later. If you are a bride or groom looking for a memorable venue & one amazing party / event, the ROMT is the venue for you! I can only speak about my wedding, but I know this venue would be great for other events because you have Jessie and Shae to help make your vision perfect!!

If you want a wedding to showcase your personality and a little local history then you have found your dream venue in the Royal Oak Music Theatre (ROMT)! With over a third of our guests coming in from out of town we wanted a venue that was more than four walls and a ceiling and willing to incorporate some of our more creative requests within our celebration. Jessie and the staff at the ROMT met our expectations and more. Jessie’s friendly demeanor and professional approach made planning all the little details so easy! The venue was lit up beautifully, the services teams were friendly, and on-point with all our requests, making the evening a spectacular night to remember. Our guests continue to rave about the elegant and energetic feel to the entire evening - even stating it was the best party they have ever been too! Their long-term business relationships with top notch catering, linen, and music (Bands and DJs) entities helped make the planning process as effortless as possible. I cannot recommend Jessie and the ROMT enough. If the opportunity allows, book the ROMT today!

Best place for a wedding EVER! I can’t say enough positive things about the entire experience. From the very beginning Jessie was absolutely incredible. She helped bring our entire vision for our big day to life. We wanted a romantic and fun vibe for us and our guest, and did she deliver! The ceremony in the lobby was so intimate and full of love, then we went right into the main area for the reception and cocktail and got the party started! It is the absolute perfect venue for a wedding. The dance floor was full all night! Every single person on her staff is professional and friendly and made the whole night a breeze. We wanted an unique and fun wedding that people would be talking about forever, and the ROMT was everything and more. I cannot express enough gratitude to Jessie and the whole ROMT crew for making our big day, literally perfect. We will cherish it forever!

The Royal Oak Music Theatre was our choice of venue because it was not "same-o, same -o" like hotels and restaurants. My daughter wanted something different. We used the Somerset Inn as our main hotel and hired a shuttle to take our guests to and from the venue. The ROMT staff is very knowledgeable about the building, set up, vendors and what will and won't work. The lighting was fantastic, the music filled the building but was not too loud because they have a sound crew, the bar is hugh and the lobby was big enough to hold 200 people for the ceremony. Is their a downside, not if you are working with a good wedding planner and listen to the ROMT staff, they know what they are talking about. Having said that, you need to know that: 1) you have to bring everything in - caterer, tables, if you want nicer chairs, plates, napkins, spoons , forks etc 2) Picture taking can pose a problem if you have a lot of vendors coming and going at the same time BUT...there is a lovely area outside that we got some great shots. Would I do it again there? Absolutely. The guests loved the evening their were many Kodak moments and the smile on my daughters face, priceless!
