My mother and I have been coming to Scarlet for hair and shopping for years - never having an issue before. I never have been disappointed enough with services from ANYONE to write a review like this.
I left with an orange head and butcher...ed extensions. I reached out to the owner as well.
4 days prior to getting my hair done at Scarlet salon, I purchased 22’ bead extensions for $398 in Houston. A good friend of mine who works at a Salon in town installed my hair for $250.
When I came into the salon and sat down, Jordan asked what I wanted to do with my hair and if I had a picture. I showed her the long, blonde, pictures of Giselle’s hair attached here. Then I told her I wanted more dimension and to blend my extensions. I also told her toner often makes my hair brassy.
When we discussed length, I told her I wanted my hair to fall below my breast straight. She said she would trim it and add in long layers to blend my extensions. She cut my hair from the back, removing 5-7 inches. Cutting my hair to the actual length of my real hair.
This makes the extensions I paid more for because of length a complete waste of money. I also found out after the fact she isn't even trained to cut extensions and shouldn't have cut them to begin with.
Sarah re did my hair a few days later and the color was better but the length was gone. Its been several weeks and my hair is orange again from what Jordan did.
Carie and Sarah let me know that my extensions should not have been colored the way they were and Jordan should not have cut them.
Uninstall is $250, reinstall is $250, hair $398 and color of the hair $175. That total is $1,073 I had to pay on top of my services to fix her mistake.
I emailed the owner 6 pictures and a long email. She took weeks to respond and replied by saying " I’m so sorry. I’ve been meaning to write you guys back for a week. All the “witnesses” said jourdan cut kathryns hair BELOW where kathryn held her hand.
You guys are loyal customers and we don’t want either of you to be unhappy with any services we provide. Again, I’m so sorry it happened. "
It seems like she was insinuating I'm not telling the truth. Which given her delayed response and the actual facts, is extremely insulting. I alone have spent thousands of dollars at the Scarlet store and salon - coming here for years.
Do you honestly think I would take so much time to tell you my experience, if what you said above was even 50% true?
I was a customer when Jordan was an apprentice - not too long ago. If she isn't trained to cut extensions and cut them anyways, I wouldn't call her experienced.
