professional and prepared. She sent me files in advance and brainstormed photo ideas given that my husband is 2 feet taller. Sarah was remarkable in allowing us to customize our package to stay within budget. Amazingly, Sarah drove 14 hours to shoot our engagement session in Nashville. Knowing budget was important, Sarah included all the pictures from the engagement session in our package complementary if we paid a 50% deposit. Sarah’s passion and willingness to go above and beyond were evident as our engagement session was supposed to be 2 hours, but because of weather, Sarah gave us 5 hours. Furthermore, Sarah had researched locations in Nashville and was prepared with cold towels, bottled water, and mirrors. Planning for the wedding, Sarah was a coordinator helping us with our timeline from waking up to going to sleep; a knowledgeable guest offering insight to florists, DJs, bakeries, etc.; and most importantly, a friend. I was able to vent to, rely on, and giggle with Sarah throughout the planning process. When there was a question, Sarah had a solution. When I wanted to have 2 different dresses, Sarah was excited. She was patient with my questions and flexible with changes, sending an updated timeline. My stress faded every time I talked with Sarah. Again, her patience was evident as I was late in making a list of family formals and worked with us to make the list 2 days before the wedding. Sarah came to our rehearsal on her own time and made sure she spoke with the other vendors things would go smoothly. On the morning of, it became apparent to me how much of a friend Sarah had become and how comfortable I was with her when she walked in and a wave of relief washed over me. Her presence alone calmed my nerves and got me excited. She was nothing short of amazing. We paid for 10 hours – she gave us 15. We wanted pictures across Notre Dame’s campus – she trekked with all her equipment. We had a huge bridal party – Sarah was remarkable in dealing with everyone. When I was antsy, she reminded me to breathe. When we were cutting it close on time, Sarah stayed focused. Being photographed by Sarah is like hanging out with an old best friend, the laughs come naturally and the love flows. My husband and I never once felt awkward, staged, or uncomfortable. Sarah kept the mood light – we forgot we were being photographed and had fun with each other. At our reception, Sarah took incredible pictures of everything. 11 days after our wedding, the day after we got back from our honeymoon, we had all our pictures back in an online gallery. Our pictures were so much better than I could have ever dreamed – she captured every moment of our unbridled joy from every angle. The pictures were perfect! We can truly say she is a friend after working with her for our engagement and now wedding. She was super accommodating and compassionate when it came to re-arranging our wedding due to the COVID-19 pandemic. While we had to postpone until next year for our big reception, she was willing to drive to Wisconsin for the day to cover our ceremony and some of our “mini-reception” of our wedding day this year. She went above and beyond on our wedding day, not only arriving early to make sure everything was in order, but also even staying later to make sure that we had the most amazing photos. Sarah also gets your wedding photos back to you in record time—we had sneak previews the next day and she had our whole album completed in a few weeks (faster than any of my other friends which took months). The quality of her photos has far exceeded our expectations as well. and friends took photos with their phones and the difference between Sarah’s work and even what the newest smartphone can VERY noticeable. - She loves what she does and it’s contagious – if you have ever done “creative” (or posed) photos at all, they can definitely feel awkward. I’ll be honest and say, while my wife was elated at the prospect of creatives, I was a bit hesitant about the whole concept. However, Sarah did a fantastic job walking Laura and I (and everyone else involved) through what we needed to not just feel comfortable but enjoy it too. When it was all said and done, I may have even had more fun than my wife 😊. - She is worth every penny you pay her – while I was looking to cut costs any way possible, thankfully, my wife knew best to not skimp on the photographer for the wedding. We realized after that the photos that are captured on your wedding day are one of the most important things. - Her pictures tell a story, your story – we are not just saying that, she will literally write one for you (check out her website as she posts wedding stories for all of her couples stories there). This was one of the many ways Sarah differentiates herself from other photographers. The story/blog served as a great way to relive the day ourselves or easily share with others who were not able to experience it. - She is extremely organized – for any vendor you work with, this is actually really important. There is enough to worry about on your wedding day, having to also worry about keeping your vendors on task shouldn’t be one of those stressors! We never doubted for one moment that Sarah wouldn’t do what she said would get done because she had the technology, tools, and processes in place to make sure she (and we) stayed organized and on track. - She goes above and beyond – there were several times where, due to unforeseen circumstances (which will ALWAYS happen), things didn’t go according to plan. Sarah was always able to adjust on the fly to make sure the right pictures were still captured. In some cases, when Laura and I were not there to make calls on things, she actually took the initiative (and we trusted her) to make sure things flowed smoothly, even though doing those things were not included in her “contract.”

When the weather forecast changed 2 days before our wedding, Sarah very thoughtfully recommended we purchase matching umbrellas for our wedding party. She adapted to the inclement weather, kept an incredibly positive attitude and took beautiful pictures. When she noticed we were feeling exhausted but were trying to push through, she recommended we take a break to recharge. We paid for a ten hour package, and she was there for thirteen (or maybe even more!), just because she felt like those extra hours would give us the best value and photos. She delivered a blog post with a hundred of our wedding photos before we even left on our honeymoon two days later. We are also provided with not only a flash drive of all of our photos, but also the nicest, highest quality wedding photo album. It is the most unique we’ve ever seen.
