had our 120 person wedding in October 2018 at Henry Miller Memorial Library, it went off without a hitch! It was absolutely the most special day of our lives. Every detail was executed thoughtfully, and exceeded expectations to bring our vision to life. Jamie was extremely professional, and had such wonderful attention to detail. She offered so much advice and support throughout the process and was very helpful while walking through making important decisions. Every vendor on her preferred vendor list that we worked with matched Jamie's professionalism and were wonderful. They truly made our wedding the most spectacular day ever!

bout how to pull off a seamless wedding in Big Sur. Our wedding at Henry Miller Library was a complete dream, and we owe a huge part of that success to Jamie and her exceptional team. Not only did Jamie provide planning support and out of this world local/seasonal food service, but she also referred us to our DJ, rentals company, bartender, and florist. Her bench is deep with top notch event professionals who know and love Big Sur and who bring that love and attention to the events that they produce. My husband and I look back on our wedding with such deep gratitude and fondness; it truly was one of the most perfect days of our life. On the actual day of our wedding, we did not have to worry about a thing; Jamie had it all covered and oversaw every detail so that we could just enjoy. We cannot recommend Jamie and Sea Stars (and her rentals company, Star Dust, for AMAZING vintage furniture rentals) more highly. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

any things going on. Jamie and her staff members basically helped coordinate the whole wedding that day and what needed to be done. Jamie said to me "Don't worry about it Jen. It's your day. We'll take care of it." They helped with setting up the tables, appetizers, serving drinks, etc. And oh my gosh, her food was amazing!! It was out of this world. My guest loved everything that was made and said it was easily one of the best wedding foods they've ever tasted. We appreciated each and every dish that was served and the creativity that went into it. And the presentation was gorgeous!! And lastly, Jamie was great at communicating with me throughout this whole process and sent me reminders of what we'll need on the day of the wedding. Jamie and her team basically made it a day we won't forget. We can't thank Jamie and her team enough and will definitely be referring Sea Stars to our family and friends! :)

style/taste is impeccable, so you truly can trust her judgement. You can give her just vague concepts and she seems to know exactly what you want, or if you have a very specific vision, she can work with that as well. I also loved how down-to-earth and willing she was to work with my budget. She was more than happy to come up with solutions to make the event less expensive. She also was incredibly flexible/calming during potential weather shifts that occur. She knew the event space (Wind and Sea-- also HIGHLY recommended), so well that she could account for any potential blip/permutation that could occur, and was prepared! When the wedding actually occurred it was better than I could have even imagined. The food and decor was INCREDIBLE. She was even able to accommodate my family's multitude of dietary restrictions into a gorgeous/delicious meal for all. My expectations for SeaStars were very high (from viewing her gorgeous website), but the actual event was even better. I had debated whether it was worth paying Jamie to coordinate that day-- it was sooo worth it in the end. Jamie anticipated my every need, her staff was lovely, it was all so seamless. I can't thank SeaStars enough!!

I found Jamie through the house we wanted to have our wedding in Big Sur, but her website and aesthetic really spoke to the feeling I wanted our wedding to have and I'm SO GLAD I went with her. We were not disappointed. Numerous guests continue (5 months later) that the food and the cake was hands-down THE VERY BEST wedding food they'd ever had--or really, best meal in general -- and if they could have the name of the catering company, where she got the plates, the napkins, what was in the cake, everything. I felt somehow proud to say it was just Jamie (and her chef) that did it all, like no big deal. I will forever remember a few of the dishes -- scalloped potatoes with pancetta that her chef cured himself. (Drooling now just thinking of them.) Beyond food, she truly got my aesthetic -- or my blurry vision of one -- and elevated it. She recommended me to local vendors who were SO perfect -- our bar company, our florist, hair, shuttle, local woodworker for our redwood dining table, literally everything. She kept me calm when I was anxious / overwhelmed. And she knew when to be floating behind the scenes making things happen, keeping stress low, and when to get in front stressful situations so that I didn't experience them. Since I've already made this review a novel, I'll add one more special Jamie moment: right as I was about to walk down the aisle to our wedding, she told me with tears in her eyes what my husband-to-be had said right before he walked out there. And that is a line I will always cherish... one that he only vaguely remembered uttering in all of his nervousness. :) To sum it up: Jamie is a true pro, an incredible tastemaker, and the best in everything she does. But more than that, she's someone you just want to have around you in hopes that some of her magic will rub off on you.
