I used Shallotte Florist for my bouquet and the wedding party's corsage and boutonnieres. Because this was a destination wedding, it was great that they were able to work with us over e-mail and phone, that part was very convenient.
When we... came in to pick up the flowers on Friday, the day before the wedding, someone behind the desk frowned and said, "Oh... you're here already." It turns out they didn't have the flowers ready, and they insisted that it was because I had agreed to a Saturday pickup. I checked the e-mail later and confirmed that no, I had not agreed to pick up my own wedding flowers an hour before the ceremony!
We made plans to come back at three p.m. that same day - it wasn't a big hassle since Shallotte was only 20 minutes each way from where we were staying, but it was a little stressful. The general tone didn't help - they didn't offer much in the way of apologies or solutions, just said, "Well, you'll have to come back later because we're very busy today." This was the Friday before Mother's Day, so they definitely were busy.
The bouquet, corsage, and boutonnieres were beautiful when we did get them. They had done a great job arranging them and all the flowers were in excellent condition. Each arrangement looked like the source photos we had shared, and my bouquet lasted for a long time as well.
In summary, I think they would be fine to use if you double-checked to confirm the pickup date and time. The miscommunication may have come about because of the Mother's Day rush and the fact that we had coordinated everything long-distance. I was a little put off by the customer service side, but ultimately, the flowers looked great and no harm was done.
