Sheila was an amazing officiant! She is a little quirky but I think it made the ceremony more fun! If you want a standard, traditional officiant, go with someone else. If you want someone who will take the time to personalize your ceremony and truly make your day special and one of a kind, then definitely go with her!!

We were under a lot of stress when our original officiant fell through and Sheila truly was a saving grace when she agreed to officiant our wedding with less than a months notice. Sheila was the officiant at a wedding I recently photographed. She did a great job with her message, with calming the nerves of the bride and groom. And making the day unique to them.

We decided to elope very suddenly. With only two weeks' notice, Sheila was able to provide us with the information we needed to obtain our out-of-state marriage license. She suggested possible ceremony sites and marriage vows that were spot-on with what we wanted. On the day of the wedding, Sheila was having some severe back pain but she did not let that interfere with her ability to perform the most perfect ceremony for us. Because we were eloping out of town and we knew no one, Sheila provided the witnesses necessary for our ceremony. She took so much work and worry off of us so we could focus on ourselves that day. I wouldn't change a thing about our day and I would highly recommend Sheila Roehl for your wedding.

My husband and I got married in Lake Geneva, WI this fall and had the honor of having our wedding officiated by Sheila. We were looking for a ceremony that focused on our love and emphasized our commitment to each other without the religious factor. Sheila absolutely nailed it! She walked us through everything for the ceremony - gave us a sample script and allowed us to edit it, adding in our own personal touches. All of the preparations were done remotely and although we were a little nervous about not meeting our officiant until the day before the wedding (eek!), it actually worked out great. Both her and her husband attended our wedding and rehearsal (he was wonderful and I'm fully confident he would be just as good as Sheila, for anyone interested) and she made sure everyone was comfortable and confident in what they were doing. Sheila was absolutely amazing from the first time I contacted her until after our ceremony. She met with us well before our wedding and helped us put together exactly what we wanted. Our wedding party was not exactly easy to handle but she did so with ease and made sure everyone knew what was expected of them so our ceremony went smoothly. Sheila did an excellent job officiating our wedding. She was very detailed and got everybody organized well! Like that she does an original reading for each couple!

Sheila was fantastic! I didn't know what kind of ceremony I wanted at first, but she had a lot of suggestions and it turned out perfect! On the wedding day she was great at communicating with the wedding party and made sure they were all where they were supposed to be and that they did their jobs. Overall, my husband and I were very pleased.

We had our wedding in Madison, WI, but we planned it from San Diego, CA. I left finding the officiant to my fiance (now husband), and he did a great job. Using The Knot, he found Sheila. We didn't actually meet Sheila (and her husband) until the rehearsal the day before the wedding. It didn't feel that way. After the rehearsal and then the ceremony, we felt like we knew Sheila for years. She definitely made us feel special in those two days, and we felt her passion for helping us begin our marriage. Sheila is extremely professional and knows what she is doing. Good thing, because we didn't. She really helped make the ceremony run smoothly and was patient with our naivety. She is highly recommended.
