o accommodating and made us feel like we were planning with our family as they were so excited to be a part of the process. The day of the wedding I just had to bring in my decor and they set up everything perfectly! Their in house flowers were fantastic and I highly recommend their florist. Their lot is absolutely stunning for pictures especially at night. We were so elated with the entire process and would recommend Shirley Acres to everyone.

My guests loved the food, the wedding ceremony was absolutely beautiful in the garden, and jim the florist did an absolutely amazing job!! My family stayed in the guest house for 2 nights and they loved it, very comfortable and spacious for my whole family! It was the perfect setting for our tea ceremony ( vietnamese ceremony). I would 100% recommend shirley acre to anyone looking for a venue!! In fact, ive spread the word to a couple of co workers that are getting married!! I cannot thank them enough for all that they did to make my wedding day so perfect!!

e had an appointment scheduled for my daughter to go out and look at the venue plus they were revising the quote based on some things we discussed (just a couple of small things). We were ask to change our appointment time so we could meet with Bob, we agreed. My daughter shows up at the new appointment time and doesn't get to meet with Bob and the quote has not been prepared. So, Krystal does a quote a for more than $6,000 more than the original quote. I'm only giving them the one star because of past events, based on this experience they would get "0". If this is how they run the show over there now, I would run for the hills and not use them.

All in all, the food was great, set up beautiful, sound system on point, as well as everything else. Also, the guest house is AWESOME! All the girls stayed there the night before and we had a blast. though we only had a three month engagement, Krystal and Jennifer were on the ball in making sure that every detail was perfect. I was so relieved to know that I didn't have to worry about anything the day of the wedding! The flowers and decor were beautiful and the food was delicious. Overall, we could not have asked for a better or more stress-free day.

If it weren't for Christina and Bob, the wedding wouldn't have been half as good as it had been. We are so grateful of their care and thoughtfulness. all of our guests loved the venue. The food was perfect, just phenomenal! In general, the whole experience felt surreal, we really didn't have to worry about a thing! Highly recommend, and you sure won't be disappointed.

es and treats the families of the bride and groom like second rate citizens. 1.) The Brides Mother was doing last minute errands and was headed to the bridal suite but couldn't find it she asked SHEILA where to go and Sheila directed her to the reception hall (knowing full well this was the brides mother). The Brides mother didn't even get to be there when her daughter was getting ready. She missed all the photos with the bride in the suite. Sheila claims its due to the fact that the bride said she didn't want anyone around during the first look. So how does the first look correlate to getting ready in the suites? IT DOES NOT. 2.) The Grooms Dad tried to see the Groom while he was getting ready and SHEILA told him he "wasn't allowed" in the room and told him he needed to leave. 3.) SHEILA told the DJ to be boring, that the bride wouldn't like any fun music. Thankfully the DJ was smart enough to call the bride to confirm the request because he didn't feel it was an accurate statement. Of course the venue tried to blame the DJ but the DJ was AWESOME 4.) The bride had a menu change and SHEILA told the bride that she would take away the fruit table since she changed her menu. The fruit table was never part of a certain menu selection. It was an incentive to sign during the bridal extravaganza. 5.) the florals were ALL wrong. Colors are not what the bride ordered and looked reused from the night before. YOU COULD HAVE ATLEAST PUT THEM IN A COOLER SO THEY WEREN'T DROOPY AND GROSS. THE BEST PART IS WHEN THE MOH AND BEST MAN WERE GOING TO DO THEIR SPEECHES THIS SHEILA GOT THE ENTIRE STAFF TO GO TO THE PHOTO BOOTH TO TAKE GROUP PHOTOS WHICH COMPLETELY DISTRACTED THE WEDDING GUESTS FROM THE SPEECHES. Completely unprofessional. CONS -Sheila -Sheila's Attitude -Sheila does all this really hateful stuff with a smile on her face. It really is so bizarre. The Grooms dad even called Sheila a Meanie and an old hag who must be jealous of the brides special day. -the owners back their incompetent workers and don't care if they screw up and ruin the experience for the people that paid for the wedding. There is no value to the special moments that were taken away from the families. -prepare to be eaten alive by mosquitoes - the owner Bob just talks to you like you're dumb when giving him feedback There are way too many things that went wrong to detail here, however, this was just the beginning. DO NOT BOOK AT SHIRLEY ACRES! Keep your money and look elsewhere. The headache is not worth it. These people are LIARS and corrupt. No remorse to any of these situations. No compensation for their lack of executing an event. To know more than one wedding couple has complained about this wedding coordinator and they have done NOTHING about it is outrageous. The families that paid for this wedding expected certain experiences. The families were robbed of these and the venue and OWNER allows this and thinks it is acceptable. Heinous.

my extra decor(even though it was frivolous because the decor provided was amazing!). Shelia was even there to calm me now when I had a minor meltdown before heading out to the ceremony! The food is cooked on sight with many options to choose from. My hubby and I chose the fajitas and received raving reviews from all of our guests on how good they were! We couldn't get all of our belongings picked up that evening and Shirley Acres packaged everything up for us and let us get it picked up the next business day! I couldn't have asked for a better experience and will definitely recommend this venue to anyone who asks!

ht, I brought everything that would be used in our wedding day, our coordinator Christina was labeling all our stuff and when she saw my decoration for the top of the cake she said " wow, that is old!" And I jumped and said to her, that was my mom and dad wedding decor for their cake and I wanted to keep it running in the family. Is the meaning of it and I was really bothered by it. You don't say that, it was completely rude. That was strike one. Strike two: Our wedding was an interfaith ceremony, and in the Jewish traditions you break a glass. I brought that glass among other things and I gave it to my coordinator Christina. Christina comes back and asked "where is the glass? , so I can put it in the table were the unity candle is". Well she lost it and we couldn't find it and she said " I saw it, I am not crazy". So the glass was later found at the end of our wedding, but the meaningful of that special moment was taken away, I trusted her with those things that way I could get ready. Strike three: I had wedding place cards, I set them up on the table.(the coordinator knew I would have those) She comes and asked if she could help and then she asked " how would they know where they are sitting?" So I said well I got numbers for the table, so since you are the expert; how should we do this? And all she could tell me was " I don't know, let them find their name" Sure enough, when my husband and I were getting ready to come in our reception; she comes and tells me, some people cannot find were they are sitting, what should I do!! I was not happy about that, I had to tell her, " they can seat wherever they want!" Strike four: We were told by the owner of Shirley Acres; was that there will be an amount of wine/beer for the wedding, if for whatever reason we need to open another, we will have extra. And the coordinate will come and ask if we need to open. My dad had to look for the coordinator because she was nowhere to be found, finally when he saw her; her asked if we can have more wine? Her answer was " there's no more wine/ beer and we don't have extras. Strike five: We were told by our guest, was that the children had some mimosas. That table with the mimosas fountain was close to the soft drink and it wasn't labeled. We felt horrible. Even though our wedding was nice, I think that those detail could have been prevented. If you get Christina as a coordinator, prepare yourself to do everything and don't count on her, she may loose some of your special props for the wedding and she doesn't know how to guide you.

I simply can't afford the venue, but I would totally recommend this venue to anyone. Bob helped me over the phone with directions, because my GPS got me lose. Stayed on the phone with me the hold time,treated me so nice once I got there, after staying late after a long day. The lady over the phone(can't remember her name), was also so professional. The venus is very nice! I love the little grass arch in the center of the garden. My fiance and I can't afford this venue, but if we could. I sure would do business here. They even sent me a thank you card in the mail, just for coming to view the Venue. You should choose them.

ur wedding day the dream I have always dreamed of. My husband is a foodie and was adamant about good food and lots of it! The Shirley Acres chef and staff prepared amazing food. The Garden Room was our reception room and it was lovely with a very beautiful backdrop of several acres of trees and landscaping. We highly recommend Shirley Acres for anyone wanting a professional but family oriented experience.

Our coordinator Jane was awesome and went over and above her call of duty to ensure everything went off smoothly. Many of our guests commented on how attentive she was to every detail. They have the schedule of the ceremony/reception to where the bride and groom are the most important (we are first so we could actually eat!) and we got all of the stuff like toasts/cake cutting out of the way so we could enjoy dancing and talking with our family and friends. The whole team at Shirley acres are honest people who will not nickel and dime you and they legitamately want the best for you. Our entire engagement and wedding day was a complete fairytale and that is all thanks to the hard work done by Shirley Acres. I HIGHLY reccommend them!

e planner was very understanding. I stayed in the rental house with all of my bridesmaids the night before the ceremony. The house was beautiful. 4 bedrooms with 5 beds total, 3 full baths,makeup and hair station amazing bathtub in suite. The flowers at the ceremony were lovely and the reception flowers were better than I anticipated. Everything was beautiful. We had a morning ceremony outside and the reception inside from noon to 3pm. I did not feel rushed or stressed AT ALL. The food was delicious and the DJ was wonderful. He called me several times the week before the ceremony to make sure he had everything I wanted. He was very helpful with our 1st dance and my father daughter dance being that I am not comfortable dancing. He told me to give him a "sign" when I was ready for other couples to join us on the dance floor. This was one of the most amazing days of my life and I will never forget it. Thank you Shirley Acres

got engaged and as I was looking for other venues So I wouldn't be like my sister, I couldn't go with a different place! I loved the coordinator, mr Shirley, and everything about it. We are going to change all the set up so it won't look like my sisters and they are so willing to work with me. I'm so excited to have my wedding there in a month!! reception- we could just enjoy the party! It was so easy to bring my favors and extra decorations the week of the wedding and have everything set out perfectly when we arrived. This made the wedding day stress free. No need to run between shirley acres and my church. The food was really good- I recommend the loaded scalloped potatoes! Shirley Acres was very flexible to what we wanted. They seamlessly coordinated us bringing our own cake made by my sister. The garden ballroom was the perfect size, not too crowded for my 200 guests. I have gotten countless complements about the whole day. My sister is planning her wedding now for december. After looking at other venues, she saw how great a deal shirley acres is- high quality and stress free. She is now having her reception there as well. Me and my family will defiantly be recommending Shirley Acres to other brides!

He took time to understand our "story" and our plans and helped us vision our wedding at Shirley Acres. We really appreciated that aspect. Planning my day (including some late changes) was SO easy- I worked with Shanna Larsen and she was SO friendly and SO accomodating. I had specific ideas for what i wanted , and she made them a reality. The vendors they use for food, flowers, cake, everything were perfect. Day of: Shanna was a dream - she kept us on track and made sure I knew "just enough" to keep me informed but not obsessed with details. We were blessed with wonderful weather, so we had our ceremony outside which was perfect. Our reception was in the larger event room, and it was decorated beautifully. Everyone loved the food, and commented how nice the venue was. They really did such a great job. I hold the team at Shirley Acres in highest regards and would recommend them to anyone!

It was such a pleasure working with them! Huge, huge thanks to Jane, our coordinator, for her endless patience, enthusiasm, understanding (underline that) and always welcoming smiling face, Jim, our florist, for working with our budget and special request and for his gorgeous floral designs (My mom loved the center piece that you gave her, Jim!) and Bob Shirley, the owner, for his wonderful vision that is Shirley Acres and all the staff there for their hard work and adaptability! We had some last minute changes in layout.

They were incredibly professional and asked me good questions that I had not even thought of! I also appreciated the fact that Sheila helped us think of table decor ideas that would help our budget. I also really appreciated that they include so much for you. We didn't have to worry about a DJ, food, linens, or flowers (we used their onsite florist, Jim). And we received so many comments about the great food!!

sy area. The setting is absolutely beautiful. When you walk in to the garden room, the ceiling to floor glass overlooks the woods and Christmas lights. The garden where ceremonies are held is stunning. The people that work here are the nicest people you will ever meet. They will work with you on anything you desire. They will truly make your dreams come true! The food is amazing, the dj was wonderful, the flowers are breathtaking,and the cakes are delicious! I wish I could relive my wedding all over again because it was that perfect!

re staff as if we were all friends for years. My florist Jim was amazing. My flowers were more beautiful thatn I ever imagined. He took my idea and ran with it. It was over the top. The day of the wedding, I had the staff waiting on me hand and foot. Wine and cheese in the Bridal Suite, the owner came in and checked to see if I needed anything, Jane was right there to direct everything and make sure it ran smoothly. It was great. Everything went just as we had planned it and that was because the staff was so organized. They made me feel so special. I didnt feel like aa client I felt like a friend. It was GREAT!

OME the night of. We had some issues with the AC system during the reception, but the staff worked to make it right and really made us feel like we were important and that they were going to make sure to do everything they could to fix it. Also, we originally paid for 200 guests and only had 178 so they gave us a check back for the difference! What other company does that?!?! Shirley Acres is family owned and they go above and beyond to treat their guests!

They are also very open and willing to work with different cultural events too. (Like our tea ceremony.) ugh them- you can bring your own dj, cake, minister, flowers, whatever. But we ended up having them do all our flowers, the wedding cake, and food and beer/wine. Everything was phenomenal! And it was CHEAPER than other places we looked that required us to use their dj or whatever. The staff is friendly and helpful and so caring. All of my guests, wedding party, and family are STILL raving about the experience! You will NOT regret it! We had 150 guests and were in the garden room.

The wine and food were wonderful and the cake was perfect (even though it was not traditional - they made it perfectly!). I cannot say enough about how wonderful, how well priced, how easy and enjoyable the wedding was thanks to Shirley Acres! I am so glad we got married there!

them. This place was a lovely place for a wedding. I have been a guest at a wedding there and had my wedding there. The staff is amazing and will help you in any way they can. We wanted to sample the food we were getting and Bob Shirley arranged for us to have our own personal tasting. We met the chef and the food was amazing. Jeff, the florist, is amazing with flowers and will tell you if he can't get you the best deal. He will work with you and listen to anything you need. (TSA said the boquets were beautiful as my bridesmaids left for MN.) The food was amazing. There are multiple areas avalible for a wedding/reception site. I still hear that the wedding was amazing.

luded! The larger room (min. 150 guests) was beautiful, especially after they updated the room to more muted colors to coordinate most wedding colors. Wedding Coordinators are included in the package and Krystal did a fantastic job. We sat down to attempt to eat and then went outside to take some pictures on the lawn (gorgeous mature garden and trees along Cypress Creek) and came back to a new hot plate of food! The coordinators check in with you or the designated person to make sure everything is going to how you want it to. If I had any questions while planning Shirley Acres was more than willing to help me out with my dilemma. They also recommend photographers, lighting companies and linen rental companies if you are looking for other vendors or a more unique wedding. They have a florist on staff who works with what you want. I had my ceremony at a church and they created the alter flowers and transported them to the church before the ceremony. There is a restaurant on site where all the food is created. The food was delicious! There are many different options and themes for your dinner. We decided that instead of going with a theme we would customize the menu based on an open house we went to. They have an open house at least once a year for brides to taste test the food, beverages and cake. They have TONS of photography albums of weddings that were previously held there to give you ideas of details and such. I believe this was the best option available and the price was right. I didn't have to go hunting for multiple vendors and didn't have to worry about one of them leaving me hanging. I would highly recommend a place that does most of the work for you to keep you just a little less stressed.
