Could not have asked for a better day and better wedding planner! I would highly recommend her services!

Becky totally took the stress out of this for me, so that I could concentrate on all the nice things to do with our vow renewal. During our initial video chat in February she really took the time to get to know us and we talked about the reasons we wanted to renew our vows along all of the elements we hoped to include. She then created a totally individual ceremony for us. We had some pretty specific requirements which were all incorporated on the day as well as all of the traditional Hawaiian elements which were woven together so perfectly. In the lead up to the ceremony, we were very unsure as to the amount of people that would be there on the day and we were also undecided on some things until a few days before, but there was never any pressure from Becky to make these decisions on the spot. She understood our situation and made the whole process very easy, relaxed and simple. The ceremony itself was very special and the location that was suggested was stunning. The words Becky had written for the ceremony were beautiful and Matt (Becky’s husband) took A LOT of photos on my phone. Many of them looked really professional. This allowed our guests just to enjoy themselves rather than having the pressure to get the perfect picture. Becky and Matt are both very warm and friendly people and we felt at ease with them immediately when we met them in person just before the ceremony. (Becky did say she would be willing to meet us the day before if we wanted to but we had enough confidence in her from previous email and phone interactions that all would be okay.) They have both lived on the Island for a long time and they know all the best spots. Becky not only planned and conducted our vow renewal, she also played a big part in organising our post renewal celebration. She made excellent recommendations based on our budget and the kind of atmosphere we were looking for. She emailed vendors for us to make introductions and any question we asked, she had an answer for. And we certainly had a lot of questions! Becky also made lots of other recommendations for trips we should consider, places we should visit on The Big Island and the best ways to organise excursions. A lot of these trips made our visit to the Big Island extra special. I would wholeheartedly recommend Simple Kona Beach Weddings for anyone considering renewing their wedding vows in Hawaii. It was a wonderful celebration of love in the perfect location and we had an incredible holiday. She referred a great photographer (Hannah is SO talented), make up and hair people (shoutout to indigo grace artistry), the Ukelele player (Matthew Hanato even learned some new songs for us- he was amazing), the wedding license, and she referred us to a great reception and rehearsal venue (Fairmont Orchid- the luau and Browns). The people in Hawaii are on island time and as such can be slow to respond/ a bit disorganized (I’m a NYer and that is maddening for someone like me). Becky made sure everything was locked down on our schedule. Becky made sure every aspect of our wedding was planned and executed to the last detail. I cannot stress enough how much easier and less worrisome this made our entire experience (see what I did there?). When Kona businesses were slow to respond to our questions and reservations, we had but to mention it to Becky and we received a call immediately from the slow-to-respond parties. Becky is very helpful, detail oriented and most importantly, in tune to the vision that we had. Becky made sure every aspect of our wedding was planned and executed perfectly. She was able to uncover our blue sky vision for the wedding and enhance it with her experience and expertise. Becky likes to officiate the weddings and she did an amazing job of that too. Her ceremony included traditional Hawaiian elements and was very moving. 6/5 stars

Becky took control and managed everything. We couldn't have been more pleased or impressed with anyone else! Becky was professional, knowledgeable, honest and kind and made us comfortable planning a wedding so far away. Becky listened to everything we felt was important, but also incorporated local customs into the ceremony, making it truly memorable. She kept in touch with us and had several planning phone calls to finalize details. She thought of everything! We really enjoyed her dinner recommendations as well as tours and special things to see. She set up a "rehearsal dinner" and wedding night dinner for our small group and both were unbelievable venues and meals. She gave suggestions for hair and make-up based on my ideas, and coordinated meetings and communication. The day of the wedding, all we had to do was follow her timing directions and everything was taken care of. Sunset was during and after the ceremony, making it the perfect day. Becky and Matt both made our group feel like family. We can't wait to reminisce if we make it back to Hawaii!

She assisted with every detail and also served as my go to for communicating with all the vendors (six hour time changes can make communicating with vendors difficult). Planning a destination wedding is no easy task (silly me thought it would be easy than a traditional wedding) and I never would have been able to do it without Becky’s help.

She married us in the most intimate, special Hawaiian ceremony on a beautiful beach. It was spiritual in its own way and much more memorable than I was expecting. Her husband took my phone during the ceremony and gave me back about 200 photos on my phone - many of which were AMAZING and so wonderful to have immediately following the ceremony. I was recently diagnosed with a severe heart condition that impacts daily functioning), we could not have planned our wedding without her constant assistance, reassurance, flexibility, compassion, and understanding. On the wedding day, my hair & makeup artist did not have basic equipment (e.g., a hairdryer) at her salon, overtly criticized and refused to execute any portion of the hairstyle and makeup I had requested (and she had promised) both a year and month in advance via provided pictures, and spent the entire time talking about insane conspiracy theories, such as the tragic Uvalde Elementary School shooting having been staged, a la Alex Jones. She never brought me a glass of water despite my asking three hours earlier upon arrival, asked about my wedding or partner, and then did not help me get dressed; I had to get myself into my gown and veil alone, which resulted in my shoes breaking, veil ripping, shapewear prominently displayed through the gown, and a big cut on my finger that was bleeding everywhere, with blood spatter even on the bodice of my gown. She then sent me outdoors, bleeding, barefoot, and crying, to wait for my groom (and over an hour late for my own ceremony). Thus, immediately prior to marrying my spouse, I was the complete antithesis of how I had pictured myself looking/feeling since childhood. (Spending $600 to look worse than I do on a routine basis while hearing disrespectful babble about murdered children was not how I envisioned my wedding day, or any hair/makeup session outside of a reality show on a fringe conspiracy network). However, whenever I arrived late for my own wedding, bleeding, hobbling, dizzy from dehydration and heat due to my heart condition and lack of water, looking and feeling visibly upset, Becky immediately smoothed things over by somehow fixing my shoe to enable me to walk down the beach, wrapping my bleeding finger in bandages, and telling me I looked beautiful, despite not feeling that way. Her presence is very comforting and authentic, and she genuinely cares about how you and your spouse feel emotionally and mentally. She also executes beautiful, detailed, and highly personalized ceremonies, even though she was admittedly not given much to work with on our end due to having a wedding party that went from 30 RSVPS to 0 over the course of a year. Becky changed our ceremony from a wedding to an elopement without any problems, and her husband further graciously videotaped the entire ceremony, so we were able to livestream it for friends and family back home. In light of the foregoing, I cannot recommend Becky more highly to any engaged couple, ESPECIALLY if/when the unexpected occurs. Both the Big Island and Becky are rare gems; your time spent in her care will yield breathtaking memories.

Becky even helped us with suggestions for dinner on our wedding night and other activities while we were there. The ceremony itself was beautiful and all we could ever have wished for. It was the perfect blend of Hawaiian tradition with touches that were personal to us, like incorporating my teenage sons into the wedding. Getting hitched went off without a hitch! She met us the night before our wedding, guided us to the location, which was a bit tricky to find, so I am glad we did it the night before. She walked us through the ceremony. The day of, the weather was beautiful, and the decorations fit so well, even with the flower selection being a bit limited since we married in November. The heart and flower pathway were amazing. I was nervous during the ceremony, and she simply encouraged us to be ourselves. When I sincerely say, our wedding was magical-- it was. Thank you Becky.

It was nice getting to know them pre-ceremony and it put both of us at ease. The ceremony was very professional, romantic and tasteful. Interspersed with what we were expecting in a traditional wedding ceremony were some Hawaiian cultural traditions which really helped to memorialize our very special occasion. Matt did an outstanding job with our photos, Becky later sent us several photos that she herself had taken post ceremony and overall they exceeded our expectations on so many levels and we truly appreciate their attention to detail. We felt like we were in good hands long before getting to the island. We chose a traditional sort of Hawaiian island ceremony which she did a super job describing what and why as we went through it. It made it that much more special. For just a small fee extra we were able to hire her husband to use our phone and take many more pictures and video the ceremony.
