Eric and Katie were the best and easiest vendors I worked with. They professionalism and creativity is unmatched. It was a complete pleasure working with them and the pictures I have already seen are phenomenal. Hands down best option in the surrounding area.

We hired Eric & Katie to do our engagements pictures and to be our wedding photographers and they were wonderful! I also used Katie to do a boudiour photo shoot as a wedding gift to my husband and he loved the pictures! I even plan on hiring them to do a "trash the dress" photo shoot this summer so I can wear my wedding dress again! I love them both and they are creative and very professional!!

Eric and his wife Katie are hands down, the most phenominal photographers I've ever seen! They are constant professionals during your big day, but friendly enough to feel comfortable with. Not only that, but they put you at ease while there's a camera pointed at you. :) They were with us all day, but didn't even notice them at the reception, which means they were off capturing all of the moments that I wasn't able to see that day. Now for the good stuff...our photos are out of this world amazing! We've gotten some of the highlight photos and have gotten SO many compliments already! The rest of the photos should be done this week, which technically is a month or so ahead of schedule. I would recommend Eric and Katie to any bride who wants the BEST photographer you could possibly have. I wouldn't have trusted my wedding photos to anyone else, to be honest.

Eric and Katie Smyklo are amazing photographers and amazing people. After looking into a few Buffalo area photographers, we stumbled upon the Smyklo's website and we are SO glad we did! We hired Eric and his wife Katie for both our engagement shots and our wedding and the pictures are absolutely gorgeous. They are fun and easy to work with, and helpful with all of the little details (even when I asked questions like "umm... we never asked...when are we supposed to do up the bustle?). With a variety of communication options (phone, e-mail, facebook, in person, etc.) they were also really easy to get in touch with for questions during the planning process. Eric and Katie captured hundreds (if not thousands) of intimate moments between my husband and I, our family, and our friends, with a great mix of traditional and contemporary shots. He and Katie took a wonderful picture of my dad and I as he arrived at the hotel and and we didn't even know they were there! The editing the Smyklos utilize is remarkable (the colors are vibrant but natural and he can tweak his editing to suit your style) and we look like ourselves, but the best version of ourselves that I've ever seen. The packages the Smyklos offer vary a bit and can suit a range of budgets but they all give the bride and groom full copy rights to the photos once edited so you can order tons and tons of copies (in a variety of sizes), of as many pictures as you'd like--and trust us, you're going to want them all! I can't really say enoguh about the Smylkos...all I can say is that we were so pleased, we'll be calling them for every special event and occasion worthy of a professional photographer, from our first child to our 50th anniversary and our parents' milestone birthdays. I only wish I knew Eric and Katie years ago when I graduated high school--they would have done my senior portraits too! In summary, I'll leave you with six words: HIRE THEM! You won't regret it!

I highly recommend Eric Smyklo to any bride. He was professional, creative, and fun to work with. His pictures were amazing--I am continuously getting complements and people are asking me who our photographer was. He was extremely easy to get ahold of and was willing to work around our schedule for meetings. We also paid one price for the entire day and he did not charge by the hour. He was at our house at 11:00am and did not leave the reception until after 9:00pm.

Eric Smyklo is an amazingly talented individual. He and his wife (Katie Smyklo) are super nice and felt like family by the end of the wedding process. Eric was able to catch the perfect candid moments during our wedding day and make them look absolutely stunning! His talent to draw out colors in photos and play with focus is outstanding. His agreement allows the customer to have complete rights to each and every photo. This is extremely convenient in the days of shutterfly/personalized wedding postcard photos, etc. Within a week's time, Eric was able to deliver the CDs with the prints on them. He caters to exactly what we wanted (less church posed pictures and more fun/fresh photos). He is very accessible and his open communication makes his customer service incredible. I would recommmend his services to ANYONE!!

A little expensive, but TOTALLY worth it! He is extremely professional and takes amazing photographs. He took both our engagement and wedding pictures, and we couldn't have been more thrilled with them. The best in Erie by far!!

Eric Smyklo and his lovely assistant / fiancee are an absolutely amazing team! They totally catered to our wants and needs throughout the entire planning process, and were professional and fun during the pre-wedding, wedding, and reception photo shoots! They are readily available online via Facebook and email for today's modern brides, and their prices were more than fair for the time and care they took to make me and my groom happy. I highly recommend giving Eric's Facebook page a look - he's got lots of sample photos up, in several locations in the Erie area and elsewhere (they do destination weddings too!) - this helped us to choose the locations (they offer an unlimited number) where we took photos of the bridal party after the ceremony. They will be as traditional or unconventional as you want - we told them to just be creative and our photos are turning out beautifully. They took the time to get to know our personalities and our style, and our photos are perfect for us. With just the few that they've given us thus far, we've gotten hundreds of (Facebook) compliments already! Great "posed" shots as well as candids. I can't say enough about them, really! Eric Smyklo was absolutely fantastic. After seeing pictures from a friend's wedding, I knew he would be the best. He was easy to work with, affordable, timely, attentive - and most of all - his pictures are out of this world! Forget about traditional wedding photos. His style is unique and I can't imagine he has ever disappointed a client. I would recommend him to anyone getting married in the Erie, PA region.

Eric & katie were both so easy to work with. They also worked very well together! katie was our photographer for the day and was very kind as the day at times was stressful with a bridal party of 18. The website was a huge help in seeing their style which is very unique to our area and we loved their 'out of the box' ideas.
