Some of the most surprising (but I think extremely) telling compliments we received about Ruth came from the on-site coordinator and the string quartet; they went out of their way to tell us what a wonderful job Ruth did with the ceremony! Considering they must see and interact with a LOT of officiants, I think this speaks to both Ruth's professionalism and charisma.
Lastly, I will comment that Ruth was very cognizant of COVID, and made sure to conduct herself and the ceremony with appropriate safety modifications.

The first draft she sent us was very reflective of everything we'd discussed, and in no time at all we had a ceremony planned that we were truly happy with. With everything else we were planning, it was a relief that knocking out the ceremony was so easy.
On the big day, Ruth was a calming presence and executed everything gracefully. I was impressed by her subtle stage direction to make sure the photographer and videographer got all the shots they wanted without any awkward shuffling.
Half of wedding planning is surrounding yourself with the right people, and I'm so glad Ruth was part of our wedding team.

Ruth truly listened to our wants and needs, but also helped to give us direction and options for our ceremony. de the perfect decision. She walked us through the options for our ceremony, including only what we wanted and leaving out everything we wanted to avoid. We didn't know where to start with readings or vows, so she sent us a whole list of options we could piece together and make our own. We had full control editing our ceremony, and at the end it was exactly what we wanted it to be.
Day of, there is no one else we would have wanted working with us. Ruth was amazing - she made sure everything was ready for the ceremony, that our reader was set up with a microphone (and didn't have to walk up stairs in her heels), and that we were at ease. We absolutely loved working with Ruth, she was absolutely great!

It was a pleasure working with you on your Zoo wedding, telling your story, and celebrating with your families and friends! And you should know that I only do that opening trick with my pearls for special couples ;)
Ruth was the officiant for our wedding in mid-May, and she was nothing short of exceptional. We are not a very "serious" couple and wanted our ceremony to be light hearted and enjoyable. We were struggling to find readings we liked, etc. Well, ...
Ruth came to our rescue! We answered a questionnaire for her, and the ceremony she came up with was exactly what we were looking for.
She is also very personable on stage, and was very comforting to me- I was dealing with a bit of stage fright and she made everything so easy. (Think: whispered cues and encouragement.)
The groom, myself, and our parents, ALL received inquiries from guests after the ceremony, as to who she was and where we found her! Many said our ceremony was one of the best they've ever been to, and planned on recommending her to children/friends they knew who were currently engaged. I can't say enough great things about Ruth. Just choose her. You won't regret it. If we have any major future life events (funerals, babies, etc), Ruth will be our first choice.

The friends and family at our wedding had one consistent question, "how long have you known Ruth Ellen?" They all said the same thing, "She was amazing. Her personal touch, her smile, everything about her was excellent." My aunt found it hard to believe that we hadn't known her for years.
She has a gift. A gift of giving.
From the first connect to the ceremony, she took care of us. She brought our story to life, she helped us share our love with everyone. She was a blessing.
I can honestly say that I didn't realize what I needed that day. I didn't have any other day to compare it to. But once the day arrived and she officiated our ceremony, I was thankful that somehow, the universe looked out for us.
