So glad I had their help on my big day - I'm sure we would've lost a ton of stuff - as it was we did but the planners brought it all back to us! Susan is an expert in finishing touches - she helped my husband find the perfect hotel for after the ceremony and had the car loaded with food so we could eat after the reception. She got us all down the aisle and then was at the reception cite making sure the first guests to arrive felt welcomed. With Susan small details like where your crystal cake server, Waterford toasting glasses or family wedding pictures went won't even cross your mind - she'll have them all packed up and on their way to your house before you even start to worry about it. She has recommendations for vendors all over the city, but can work with anyone you want. All my other Vendors were excited that we were using Susan. It was not uncommon to hear "we love working with her!"
I met with several wedding planners and found that most of them had a vision for what my wedding should look like - Susan really listened and was able to hone in on what we needed and what we had covered.
I think the best thing you can say about Susan is that she is the vendor you will want to refer to all your friends. I got her name from a fellow law student and have since recommended her to one of my dearest friends getting married in Spring of 2011. (My mother even recommended her to a coworker!)
The funny thing is that on your wedding day you won't even remember Susan being there (a sign of a good wedding planner) you'll just remember that your parents spent the night on the dance floor worry free, that you never looked at a clock or worried about what time it was and when it was time for the toast you had a glass of campaign in your hand and your new spouse standing by your side!
