We chose Sweet Ali's to make the "groom's cake" for our wedding. The cake was really for me because I'm gluten intolerant, but don't tell anyone! :)
We absolutely were thrilled with the whole process from tasting to the final product. The tast...ing hours are limited (I believe Friday and Saturday only) but wow you get like a dozen cupcakes' worth of cake and frosting samples! We ordered an 8" round cake that we had decorated with the throwback 83 Sox logo (yup right in the middle of the Cubs craziness!) and chose cookies & cream and champagne cake with white chocolate filling and swiss meringue buttercream on the outside. It was freakin' outstanding!!! The baker we were forced to use for our formal cake that sucked (see my review on The Cakery) made our cake too small so they had to give the groom's cake out to 2 tables worth of people, but they truly lucked out. My coworker didn't even realize it was gluten free, and liked it better than the wedding cake! We plan on ordering the same cake for our anniversary!
