Sweet Pea's Floral is based in Woodbury with a full-service retail store where we specialize in Wedding and Event floral design. Tara has owned Sweet Pea's for the past 17 years, working with Lindsey for the past 19 years at Sweet Pea's and other shops. Both Tara and Lindsey are two out of 16 AIFD Accredited Floral Designers in the state of Minnesota. (American Institute of Floral Designers is the highest accreditation you can get in our industry, we like to think we have our 'Masters') We love weddings and look forward to being a part of each bride's special day!

All of the flowers I suggested were in the various color specific flower books and we could display them together to see the potential color and combination options. I also rented pillars for my bouquets and they were light enough to move on my own, but substantial enough not to tip over under the weight of the flowers. My family had a prayer book heirloom that was ribbon wrapped into the bouquet beautifully. I picked the displays up the day before and the florists helped me bring them to the car. Everything help up and was lovely in all the photographs and admired by all of our guests. Fantastic work, incredible customer service, and extremely accommodating floral work.

irl crowns (6) were the wrong color flowers - yellow/orange & not the blush pink as ordered. Additionally, the boutonnieres were wilting and dying before the wedding even began at 2:30pm on the day-of our wedding. Our flower crowns were made so small they could not even fit on the girls heads which was extremely disappointing because they were SO excited about them (age and size of each girl was discussed with Lindsay multiple times). My flower girl petals to toss were also red- when there was no red in my wedding what so ever & we had discussed blush petals only.
As for our bulk flowers, a good majority of our dahlias were wilted when we picked them up on Friday (day before wedding) to build out centerpieces. When we went in on Saturday morning, there was nothing that they were able to do for us given they didn't order 'extras' or have other flowers.
When I reached out to Lindsay to discuss my disappointment with detailed photos and information for her, she asked what she could do to help given the day had come and gone. When I reached back out asking for a refund for only boutonnieres, flower crowns & petals (~25% of total $ I spent on flowers with her) I never heard a word back from her.
I'm giving two stars because Lindsay truly was a joy to work with; however, no bride should be disappointed the day-of their wedding on how their flowers turned out and then be ignored when trying to discuss the situation after the wedding is completed. On the Facebook page she had posted of 3 weddings on the day-of my wedding, so be sure to ask any florist how many weddings they service on a weekend as that likely had something to do with it (something I did not do).

Before my final payment, Tara followed up with me to make sure everything I had initially booked, was still what I needed. I made a few slight changes and she accommodated them.
Finally, when my wedding day came, Sweet Peas came and set everything up for me, putting all of my flower centerpieces on the right tables and decorations where they needed to go. I didn't have to worry about anything! I showed up and the room looked amazing thanks to them.

We worked with Gary, who was absolutely fantastic. He took our broad suggestions and turned them into lovely arrangements. Everything was beautiful.
The one issue we had, which I did discuss with Sweet Peas after the fact, was that the flowers were delivered and dropped off without telling anyone in the wedding party. The flowers were found about 10 minutes later with no problems. This issue was addressed with Sweet Peas and they promised to discuss with Gary the importance of letting the bride or groom know their flowers are here!
Overall I would still recommend Sweet Peas to anyone. The flowers were beautiful and we received lots of compliments. One little hiccup, which was solved quickly, doesn't change my overall opinion of this florist.

My husband was enthralled with these beautiful vases full of rose petals that we saw on their website, and we were thrilled that they were included with our package choice. They have huge photo albums in the shop to help give you ideas of weddings they have done, and I thought all looked picture perfect. The actual bouquets were priced fairly reasonable, but some other things like the centerpieces we were looking at were overpriced I thought (so we ended up making our own). Everything arrived on time, and was set up without a problem. The flowers were very fresh, and looked great. I had full confidence in the flowers turning out great, even though it is one of those things that you don't get to actually see until the day of. I would definitely recommend them. If you shop around, you will see how good their prices are.

ur wedding and limited budget to create arrangements that far exceeded our hopes and dreams. We were hoping to create an atmosphere that was simple and elegant, but also whimsical; she hit the nail right on the head, and had wonderful surprises in store for us. Our colors were white, yellow, and green; she created for us bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages, table arrangements and a ceremony arbor wreath using white peonies and lilies, yellow roses, green orchids and sprigs of mint! They were beautiful and smelled wonderful. She also rented out to us white lanterns to hang from an overhead trellis for a touch of whimsy. Chrystal is the best, and anyone getting married in the Bay Area would be lucky to have her as their florist!
The flowers turned out absolutely amazing! We had so many compliments about our flowers and centerpieces that Sweet Peas put together. They made the entire process so easy! I would highly recommend them to any future bride!

lowers were bright colored daisies which are very cheap and easy to find so when I saw some daisies and some rose petals on the tables I was sort of dissapointed, when I asked why they used rose petals and why the daisies looked wilted and like they were dying they said the daisies were hard to find so they "filled in" with rose petals (which also looked wilted)The only good things I can say are that the bouquets corsages and boutenires looked good and they did refund us for all the centerpieces which was more than fair so I am giving them 4 stars because of that!

even let me bring in my own crystal picks for the bouquets. I loved that they sent me a detailed email with every flower and color that was going to be in each thing. The only thing I wish was like a confirmation call or email like a week before the wedding. But the price was hundreds and hundreds of dollars cheaper than we had anticipated. This was my second marriage and my first wedding we went with a more well known florist and spent over twice the amount and got no where near this beautiful of flowers, and the consultation was crisp and professional and made me feel great!
PS: 10 days after my wedding (which is today) my bridal bouquet is still alive, and beautiful in a vase on my kitchen table.

This DYNAMIC duo has been working in the floral industry together for over 15 years, we absolutely love what we do and it shows in our work. We are both accredited designers through the American Institute of Floral Designers so we kinda know what we're doing.... =)
Tara has a 13 year old son and a 10 year old daughter, along with two golden retrievers named Lucy and Griffin and a kitty cat. You can only imagine!
