I feel so lucky that we found Sydney Camille Events! We worked with Christa who was just so knowledgeable and professional. She made sure everything went off without a hitch and truly went above and beyond. We found Christa after working with Milestone Events Group (run!). Milestone got hacked and sent us an email from their exact email address instructing us to wire a second deposit to a bank account. We did so, thinking nothing of it, as we received communication from this email from the beginning of our engagement with them. However, it was a hacker and Milestone didn't even notify us until almost a month later. Even worse was dealing with Milestone afterwards! Thankfully, we found Christa, and after fighting to get out of our contract for several months, we were able to get back to planning. Christa is the absolute best and we are so grateful to her.
My husband and I got engaged in February of 2021 and decided to plan our wedding for October of 2021. We decided on a private estate in Cloverdale (7+ hours away from our house) which means we needed a wedding planner to help us. I knew Lauren was the right wedding planner for us from our first conversation. We hadn't even hired her yet but within the first 30 minutes, she was already rolling up her sleeve and working. I could tell that she was someone who would do anything in their power to make sure that our perfect day went off without a hitch. She provided support, organization and calmness during the whole planning process. When the big day came, she brought in her incredible team to setup, design and make our dreams a reality. My husband and I (and our wedding party) were able to focus on enjoying our special day while Lauren and her team did ALL of the setup and teardown. Lauren is extremely organized, detail oriented, confident, well-connected, and professional. This was her busiest wedding season yet and she never mixed up details with other wedding, she was alwasy responsive, and helped us select high quality vendors. She's worth every penny (and more)!
Me and partner finally had our wedding after 2 date changes and 1 venue change, and Lauren was with us through it all. She was always very responsive, super patient with all of our questions (and we had a lot of questions!), and really helped us navigate the whole process of choosing vendors, booking rentals, etc etc. She was also very respectful of our wedding budget, which we truly appreciated.
As for the day of, she and her team were amazing -- they knew exactly where all of our homemade decorations should go, set up our tables, even arranged some impromptu bridesmaids/bridal bouquets for our wedding photos because our flower delivery was nowhere in sight! They were seriously prepared for anything - even had bug spray for us when mosquitoes unexpectedly came out, and helped do a last minute alcohol run when they realized we were running low! So many of our guests commented on how smoothly the wedding went and how enjoyable and on-time the ceremony was. My partner and I had more fun than we even thought we could on our wedding day, and a large part of that is because we had zero wedding planning stress with Lauren and her team looking out for us. Looking back, I'm so glad we decided to get a wedding planner, and that we got the opportunity to work with Lauren for our special day :) She's seriously a superwoman.
The Sydney Camille Events team was hands down the best team we could ever ask to help plan our wedding! Not only did our wedding planner, Lauren, help us plan a wedding once, BUT she ended up having to plan it twice (2-year span) due to the pandemic. It was the most uncertain time yet she constantly stayed positive and controlled everything in the background so that we didn’t become overwhelmed. Lauren is always calm, empathetic, patient, kind—the list goes on. I truly couldn’t recommend Lauren and praise her enough. She deserves an award for being the best wedding planner of all-time. From the lead up to the big day, to making magic happen on the day of, it was the most incredible experience and the best weekend of our lives. Now I want Lauren to plan all of our events for us :).
When it came to decor, Christa had everything covered from top to bottom! I explained the vision we were looking for and somehow, someway, she made that a reality. She not only helped with our first smaller wedding last year, but also came through BIG for our celebration this year. She was a delight to work with and took everything into her own hands so we didn’t have to worry. Christa is such a kind and thoughtful person and I definitely plan on contacting her to help with all of our future decor needs!
This team went above and beyond everything and we couldn’t be more grateful and thankful! They were a great support system, always responsive, constantly on top of all the things going on. If I could give 100 stars to these amazing girls, I would! This review alone isn’t enough to describe just how wonderful the Sydney Camille Events team is <3.
If you’re reading this, you’re probably deciding whether to hire a wedding planner, and perhaps you’re considering Lauren & her company, Sydney Camille Events. If this is you… do yourself a favor, stop searching and hire Lauren to plan your wedding!
I never thought I’d need a wedding planner -- I’m organized and have worked my fair share of events, right? I figured I’d rather put the cost of planning towards one of the other (many) wedding expenses. But after a few engaged months, I’d made zero progress, and my stress was mounting. My dad finally encouraged me to call Lauren, who he’d heard about from a friend. 10 minutes into our first call, I knew I needed to hire Lauren. She was someone who could make the wedding planning process fun. Weeks before our wedding, I could not have been more thankful to have Lauren taking care of all the final details -- I had no idea how many tiny little things get hammered out 2-weeks before your big day!
Lauren is an exemplary wedding planner, from 12+ months out, to the day of, to the days after your wedding. There are 3 things specifically that stood out to me about working with Lauren:
1. Lauren makes you feel like you’re her only client. Logically, I know she’s helping multiple brides at the same time, but every time we met, spoke, or emailed, I felt like her focus was entirely on me.
2. Lauren has an answer for everything. She’s been in the industry long enough to be a fount of knowledge herself, and if she doesn’t know the answer to something, she finds out quickly. Questions big or small -- she’s seen it all.
3. Lauren keeps everything under control, without you (the bride) being the wiser. Whether it’s 6 months out negotiating with your caterer; 2 weeks out sending crazy detailed timelines to every vendor; or on the day of your wedding making sure your sister-in-law’s family has a primo parking spot since they have a newborn baby in tow. Again, no task is too big or too small -- Lauren just makes it happen, with a smile. One more example: our alcohol vendor showed up at our venue with double the white wine and no red wine… Lauren made them fix the mistake within 20 minutes (and made sure I didn’t even know this happened until days later!).
I’ll leave you with evidence of the best endorsement of Lauren & Sydney Camille Events: My sister got engaged a few months before my wedding, and -- based on my strong recommendation -- hired Lauren to plan her wedding, too!
Lauren is the fairy godmother every bride needs. She is seriously amazing in so many ways. From the beginning, Lauren was super professional and knows exactly what needs to be done in planning a whole wedding. I was so glad to have her take care of things. She's super responsive and will get things done. On the day of, Lauren and her team rocked. Everything went so smoothly and I had a great time because I knew Lauren was taking care of everything. If you want to actually enjoy your wedding, you need to hire Lauren to plan your whole wedding, but at the very least coordinate your day. I really couldn't have asked for a better wedding planner and now will recommend her to all my friends.
Hands down, the BEST decision I made while planning my wedding was hiring Lauren to be my month of coordinator. I can't tell you how much of a relief it was working with her. She made the whole process seamless and handled every single detail! I had SO much peace on my wedding day knowing that she had everything under control. Lauren and her assistant even helped bustle my dress!

Lauren and her team really helped take out so much of the stress of planning for our wedding day. She helped us narrow down what was important to us versus what wasn't, which really made the whole process less overwhelming. I know the wedding day absolutely would not have come together the way it did without her help.
The actually day of the wedding, Lauren handled all the last minute hurdles and problems that came up--it went so smoothly thanks to her and her team. Would highly recommend her services to anyone and everyone!
Lauren and her assistant were absolutely incredible. I am a site coordinator and planner myself so I always have high expectations and Lauren far exceeded those. She was very efficient and on top of things during the entire planning process and was super professional. Prior to the wedding she was constantly reviewing menu's and rental orders to make sure they were accurate and making sure the clients were't getting over charged. During the wedding she showed up early, followed her very detailed timeline and was so easy and fun to work with. The wedding ran so smooth and she was able to make quick adjustments as needed without anyone knowing. Her attention to detail and design was beautiful as well. I can't wait to work with her again and highly recommend her!
Just like the rating saw above, Lauren is the best ever!!! Her attention to detail and knowledge of wedding planning is among the best. My wife and I hired Lauren from Sydney Camille Events for our wedding this summer. We hired her for the full service package and it was worth every penny. I was more involved in the wedding planning than my fiance and I really needed extra help understanding what needed to be done. I had no clue where to start or who to hire. We didn't even have a venue when we hired her!
I was very particular about what I wanted and had a lot of ideas, just no idea how to execute. We had a lot of important guests coming to our wedding and our wedding was black tie, so there was extra pressure to make sure everything looked classy and beautiful. Lauren was extremely patient with me, I had endless questions and she was always happy to explain everything in a way that I understood. She was consistently responsive and made me feel like I was her only client, even though I know that was not the case. She gave me plenty of options/quotes/ideas and explained everything to me. There are so many details that go into wedding planning, I really couldn't believe how time consuming it could be. Lauren saved me so much time and made everything simple and clear that it made me much less stressed.
She pulled together the most incredible vendor team, we hired everyone that she recommended, DJ, florists rentals etc. Everyone she recommended did such a great job on the wedding day and they were a lot of fun to work with. Everyone was so easy to work with and always had a smile on their face. You could tell they love their jobs. I would have never been able to find these vendors on my own, so that alone was priceless.
On the day of the wedding, my wife and I were not worried about anything because we knew Lauren and her team were there. She was such a calming presence. I have no idea if anything happened behind the scenes, but you would never know if it did. She had planned and anticipated every last detail and executed perfectly on our wedding day.
Our friends and family all commented on how helpful and accommodating her team was. She even sewed up a guests' dress that came undone during dancing! We seriously can't thank the Sydney Camille Events team enough. Thank you Lauren & team for everything you did for us, it is impossible to list it all, but because of you, our wedding was perfect and unforgettable!
From the moment I had my first conversation with Sydney Camille Events I knew I was not only in great hands but I also felt like I had someone who cared very personally about my wedding. When planning a wedding, you not only need a wedding coordinator that is knowledgeable, experienced, and on top of all the details but you also need to feel like you can trust them, seek support and get reassurance that you’re doing it right. Any moment I needed something Lauren would reply very promptly and/or pick up the phone not leaving me pacing and worrying about anything. In fact, most of the time she has already completed a task before I even thought of it! I can’t explain what a relief this was during the planning process.
The day-of was an absolute dream. Everything went off without a hitch and we were able to truly enjoy the best day of our lives without worrying about any of the details both big and small. Lauren and her assistant Chessie went above and beyond for me helping execute a wedding at a venue that had a complicated floor plan and even accommodated for some last minute timeline changes keeping the experience smooth for our guests. Our event was a formal black tie wedding at a San Francisco mansion with 120+ guests with tons of details. She even helped surprise me with my best friend with a belly dancer and it’s really hard to keep a secret from me!
I felt like I had eyes everywhere for me and still, two weeks late my husband and I can’t stop smiling about our wedding day. We couldn’t ask for more from them. This review is not exhaustive of everything Sydney Camille Events has done for us. They are truly amazing people. As a wedding photographer I work with a different team every week practically and working with Lauren at Sydney Camille Events was one of the best planning/team experiences I've ever had. She's truly a couple's AND vendor's planner. I can't say that for everyone. When I work with someone who has the couple's best interest as well as every single vendor's that they're working with at heart, the experience for everyone, ESPECIALLY the couple is going to be top notch! She knows that she's working with professionals and in order to let each pro do what they do best she has to support them! Man. Is she an amazing support! She kept the day running incredibly smoothly and this one had a lot of moving parts. She was on top of her game and a total hero to everyone who came out to make the day incredible. I double down on hiring Lauren. You'll never regret it!!!
I don't have words to describe how amazing Lauren was through every step of our full service planning! From the beginning stages to the big day, she was so knowledgeable and quick to respond to not only my questions, but my husband and our families as well. We were deciding between different locations in the Bay Area and she knew vendors and venues everywhere we were interested! She made our wedding a seamless dream, and I can't begin to thank her enough for the best service I could have imagined!!
This is the second wedding Lauren has helped us plan. It will be the last wedding, but not the last event! We love her! Just like the first wedding, she is so excellent at thinking about every single aspect of the event - the flow of people, how food and drink serving methods affect the tone of an event, where to spend money, and not, the best vendors to hire. She is so terrific - I'm never going to plan a large event without her. And Lauren is ultra-responsive. I can't remember her ever taking more than an hour, and usually much less than that, to get back to me with answers to question. As I said in my first review, she is the person who had the single largest impact on the success of our event. Where do I start? Words cannot describe how lucky I was to stumble upon Lauren. Lauren did so many things for a price that was half the size of anyone else. My venue did not supply all vendors other than food.so I had to work with 6 plus vendors. Lauren had such great connections for many, and she was the point of contact of all vendors so I didn't have to deal with them blindly. We started planning a a year and a half in advance. And thank goodness we did. Lauren does not just excel in researching and planning. She's great with people and very professional, but human. A new bride always says she is not going to be a bridezilla, well, I wish you luck when the last 5 months approach, and issues are coming from every direction, and your bank account is at its lowest. No need to fear with Lauren. She makes sure you do not have to be a bridezilla......in public. That little feature is hands down worth every penny. Overall, I've been told by every guest my wedding, despite the tears, and price tags, was like a Hollywood movie, and Lauren made sure it was a success! I'll use her for all my future party planning!!
I can't think of anyone who had a bigger impact on the quality of our daughter's wedding than Lauren of Sydney Camille Events. We hired Lauren for "day of" assistance, but she offered useful advice throughout the whole process. She has a great array of recommended vendors who really delivered great service. What I liked best about Lauren is her willingness to pitch in to get the job done -- offering to pick up the cake, cleaning up, intervening with difficult supplier (there are always one or two....), setting up and cleaning up. She worked with two able assistants, but she was in perpetual motion. She got us really organized so that everyone knew what they were supposed to do. Lauren is charming, but also knows how to be firm. She's really smart, thoughtful, quick on her feet, and really helps make the process fun and less daunting. She absolutely freed up my time so that I could enjoy the day -- and I did! It was one of the most lovely days of my life, and Lauren had a lot to do with making it that way!
We met Laurenat one of the Bay Area wedding fairs a little over a year ahead of our wedding and booking her was the best decision we could have made!
Our biggest issue:
Being one of the first to get married among our close friends and family, we found ourselves struggling to find the perfect vendors for us; we were extremely overwhelmed by search results, reviews, suggestions from Facebook friends, the list goes on. Pair that with the frustration we had in finding good, quality vendors at a price range within our budget, and you have an unorganized and indecisive mess.
How SCE came to our rescue:
Working within the wedding industry as a planner, Lauren has naturally built great relationships with florists, DJs, lighting partners, caterers, venue partners, calligraphists, print shops, and a bunch of other types vendors. Because she's built such great rapport with them and continuously brings them business, most of these vendors are able to provide brides/grooms with discounted pricing. Like most vendors she introduced us to, we did consultations/intros and explored the options in working within our budget. However, we did have some vendors in mind that we knew we wanted to commit to that Lauren hadn't worked with before, and she was incredibly open and flexible in going with our flow, even after introducing us to her contacts.
Where SCE really shines:
Outside of being the one solution to our number of undecided vendors that would work within our budget and bring our visions to life, we really got our money's worth through her flexibility in working with us in the best way that allowed us to be efficient and effective. Her occasional (or frequent, depending on what kind of bride/groom you are!) check-ins, and her presence most especially in the weeks leading up to our big day + the day-of coordination were also huge highlights for us.
There are so many moving parts and check-ins that need to happen with all your vendors before everything takes place and it can become overwhelming when you stack that on top of your personal worries and to-dos with family and friends prior to the wedding. Having Lauren take care of all of that was the best stress reliever we could've asked for – I'm usually one who loves to be cc'd on emails (I work in marketing and event planning, myself), but having those out of sight, really kept it as out of mind as it could possibly be in the days leading up. As a bride/groom, you really don't want to know every single bad detail that happens, especially if it can be an easy fix — trust me, it's not worth the energy!
Having Lauren + team on-site — people who are 100% familiar with our vision and plans for decór and programming — was SO important and valuable. The day-of coordinator that your venue will provide has no idea what your vision is unless you take the time to tell them and as a bride/groom, you don't want to put yourself through explaining 1-2+ years worth of planning into a 1 hour meeting, phone call, or email.
Lauren ensured everything would run smoothly and that not one bit of bad news would reach mine and my husband's ears that day and she definitely delivered. Because of Lauren, we were able to enjoy the entire day and really relish our moments with all of our guests without having to worry about any detail whatsoever, leaving our memories tarnish-free. That has to be one of the best wedding gifts we could have received.
Lauren is AMAZING!! She was by far the most helpful person in the entire wedding planning process and was worth every penny. Originally I hired her for Partial Planning, but about halfway through I decided I needed her full time and upgraded my package. I had so many questions and was confused by all the details and contracts, but Lauren made me and my fiancé feel so comfortable and supported. She is so calm and personable, which made working with her so enjoyable. I am actually sad that the wedding is over and I can't talk to her all the time. The wedding looked gorgeous and everything went incredibly smoothly. She went above and beyond for me and I couldn't be more grateful. My fiancé is actually pretty picky for a groom and he couldn't believe how beautiful everything turned out. From the lighting, to the flowers, to even the smallest detail. So many of my friends have asked me who my planner was because they all want to use her too. Trust me, you will not regret hiring Sydney Camille Events, my wedding was perfect thanks to her!!
Lauren is amazing! I am a florist in the San Mateo area and have worked with her on many occasions. She is extremely easy to work with and very knowledgable about how to please a bride as well as the vendors she works with. Not only is she very skilled, she is very personable and easy to work with. She puts her brides at ease from start to finish. I highly recommend Lauren for your next event!
I hired Lauren from Sydney Camille Events to plan my daughter’s wedding and it was the best decision I have made. I went back and forth on whether or not we really needed a planner because our venue came with an on site coordinator. But after getting knee deep in the planning process, I decided it was worth it to hire Lauren.
Lauren was so responsive to every email and phone call and immediately put all my worries to ease. She was so on top of every detail and organized. She literally thought of everything and more and was such a pleasure to work with. I'm not sure how many other clients she was working with at the time, but she always made us feel like she had plenty of time to speak with us and answer any of our concerns or questions. She came to the important meetings like tastings and linen searches. She gave us plenty of vendor recommendations (all of which ended up being fantastic!).
The wedding went off without a hitch all thanks to Lauren and her team. I found out after the fact that a few things went wrong before the ceremony, but none of us knew anything about it because Lauren took care of everything. She is a true miracle worker!!
Lauren was worth every single penny and was extremely reasonable compared to other planners I got quotes from. I highly recommend her for your wedding or event, you will be so much less stressed and actually be able to enjoy your event! Lauren planned my wedding and everything was absolutely perfect. She held my hand every step of the way and worked so well with my family and my husbands family. She got great deals with vendors and has connections with so many people which made planning everything so easy.

Lauren and her team made our wedding day everything we wanted and much much more! I was hesitate about hiring a wedding planner, but my wife was insistent and I didn't want the planning process to stress her out, so I agreed.
