If you are like me and care about all the details you plan and want to trust your vendors to execute each item you pay for, then please DO NOT hire TandT Flowers and Gifts. Tammy and her assistant were supposed to arrive at 9 am. By 11:30, she ...still had not shown up or contacted my wedding planner or myself. My wedding planner eventually found out Tammy was not coming to help set up, and she was only sending an assistant. She assured us the assistant knew what she was doing and would set up fast. Tammy said the assistant would arrive by 12:30 pm. By 1:30 pm, no assistant had arrived. At 2:30 (2 hrs from the start of the ceremony), no one from Tammy’s team had arrived; instead, my caterer’s assistant showed up with half of what was on the quote. Tammy had a personal relationship with the owner of my catering company and had called the caterer to pick up my order. Tammy completely lied. Not only was everything over 5 hours late, but no one from Tammy’s team was there to help set anything up and half of the order was missing. We were missing greenery for all of our guest tables and fireplace mantle, a bouquet for one of my bridesmaids, all the tapered candles and candle sticks, gold votives for guest tables, and a very important sentimental part (piece of wheat to honor my grandpa) of the boutonnieres was not included at all. My wedding planner, her team, members of my bridal party, and my mom dug through boxes of faux florals the venue had to find extra greenery to make certain places of the reception hall at least look presentable for the guests. All of the candle vases that did arrive were dirty. Tammy and no one from her team did their job on wedding day, and clearly it didn’t matter to her that she did not deliver. When I contacted her after the wedding to explain how heartbreaking all of this was to me, that I had noticed every single detail missing, she said she was sorry for the stress but would not own up to the mistakes she and her team made or why she chose to use my caterer’s assistant as an employee. She did not explain why the wheat was missing. She said she had a team member quit on her, but she blamed the caterer for not delivering all the pieces. This didn’t make any sense to me, because the caterer is not one of her employees and the piece of wheat missing from the boutonnieres would have been something assembled beforehand. In her contract, Tammy states that she has to let the bride know about any changes in flower availability, and I was never notified of any change even though lots of what did show up did not match the quote’s pictures/descriptions. I understand having a team member quit is tough; however, in the world of business, you have to have a back up plan to deliver to your paying customers if someone does get sick or quits on you. I have not received any reimbursement from her, and she has not responded to any more emails. It still breaks my heart that members of my family and my mom had to step away from spending the day with me in order to become part time florists. I also hate that my wedding planner and her team were not able to spend time assembling other important details for the day in order to become lead florists. I would consider redoing my review if she would respond to my email and reimburse for what I have outlined. However, if she does not, we are prepared to pursue the next legal steps. I would seriously advise you to not hire Tammy Bell.
