The venue itself- GORGEOUS. Love the location outside, and the barn inside. However- Joe Blystone is absolutely awful at communication (months without responding to me), lost our payments checks (we had receipts), and was just an overall negative vendor to work with. Very, very, strict on stupid little things, doesn’t keep his word, and has no idea what’s going on with his own venue. Our wedding planning process and the wedding itself had a heavy layer of extra stress solely due to him. I would warn any couple who wants to get married here to wait a few weeks longer to sign a contract with him and ensure it’s what you’re willing to deal with and work with.
I had my wedding at The Barn at Blystone last weekend and I don't think I'll ever get over how magical it was! The venue is absolutely beautiful inside and out and all of my guests kept complimenting the space all night! However, I must say that most of my 5 star rating goes towards Jaclyn Mims, the event coordinator at Blystone. Jaclyn works SO incredibly hard but does it all with a smile on her face. She is so sweet and accommodating and I appreciate her so, so much!! From months ahead of the day to the day of, she made sure my wedding day ran smoothly. She is seriously AMAZING. <3
We hired this venue back in 2019 for our 2020 wedding, we had no idea how many different things would be thrown our way. Blystone was the better than great, they made everything less stressful. Jaclyn Mims is their event coordinator and she is amazing, easy to communicate with, very passionate about what she does, and all around makes your wedding day as amazing as it can be.
It’s almost been 8 weeks since the best day of our lives- Tyler & the Blystone crew are one of the biggest reasons for that. Not only did we book the barn over a year before our wedding day, it was also the only venue we looked at because it felt like “home”. Planning a wedding can be stressful but Tyler made sure it was exciting, fun and made sure I had no worries. I consider him such a good friend now because I know he has my best interests at heart. We had around 250 guests (our families are huge) and 16 people in our wedding party but Tyler made it all seem like a piece of cake. I also planned our wedding from beginning to end and he made it come to life. I am so thankful for him and the rest of Blystone.
Ps- I HIGHLY recommend the tacos 🤪 Everyone complimented the food.
BOOK BLYSTONE, you won’t regret it.
We went to Blystone Farms for a ham hock, and found out about the Barn on the way. We went inside and asked to make an appointment. Tyler Toles came out and whisked us away to show us the barn. He is very knowledgeable, laid back and down to earth. And he knows what he is doing. He made the whole process seamless, answered every question in a timely manner, and everything turned out more perfect than we had imagined. He also took the time to engage our 4 year old in conversation and was great with him every time we went out there. He truly treated us as if we were family. Our son LOVES going to the farm and runs to Tyler every time. A true professional!
If I could give a 10 star review I would!!! We had our wedding here over the summer and it was beyond perfection.
Tyler, the event coordinator, made sure every detail was taken care of and made my special day perfect. He was amazing!!
The venue is beautiful. We got amazing wedding photos and the food was so good!! Our guests raved it was the best wedding food they have ever had!!! I would highly recommend Tyler and this beautiful piece of heaven for your special day!!
Blystone farm is beautiful! There are so many great places for photos, and the staff is wonderful. I highly recommend them for any occasion, especially weddings! Fun fact, they're barn floor is heated and perfect for the winter!
I can believe how hard this venue work to give us the perfect day problems was dealt with and we were not bothered with trivial things. we were able to enjoyed our perfect day. Tyler and his staff was wonderful. we love the setting it was spectacular lots of room and so beautiful
couldn't have asked for better!!!
The Blystone is a beautiful place!! The sunsets are amazing. We got married September 21, 2019 and it was just perfect. Our guests took advantage of the beautiful backdrop for pictures themselves and went on and on about how lovely the venue was. I knew the venue was beautiful already but to have my guests rave about it was awesome. Tyler the event planner was great to work with. His staff is super nice and professional. The food was yummy! I still have people raving about the food. As a bride I was super nervous and wanted everything to be perfect on my day and it was. I utilized the bridal suite which was beautiful and so easy to get ready there and not have to worry about getting on site without messing up my hair. Lol. Tyler made sure that my day went as planned. I would highly recommend the Blystone for any event.
We had our wedding at Blystone on Labor Day weekend and it was perfect! The barn and outdoor ceremony are absolutely gorgeous, and people were complimenting the beauty of it all night. The farm was the perfect backdrop for our wedding day. When the sun goes down, they have string lights out on the patio and they kept the barn doors open on each side of the barn, so people could go in an out and it all feels like one big area between the patio inside the venue. Besides how beautiful the venue and outdoor space is, the food was fantastic. We had smoked brisket, pork and bone-in chicken, and I couldn’t tell you how many people said it was the best food they’ve had at a wedding. We opted for cake cups and cookie dough bites for dessert and they were delicious;all made in house at Blystone. The buttercream frosting is amazing. Not many venues have craft beer options, but we were able to choose from an extensive selection of local craft beers to have on draft at our wedding in addition to domestic bottles, wine and liquor. It was the most stress-free planning process working with Tyler. Being able to choose food onsite and not having to coordinate with outside caterers was easy. Tyler worked very hard to make sure the day was exactly what we wanted, and had great suggestions for things we didn’t think of along the way. I would not change a thing we did about the day and it was at an affordable cost. You have to have your wedding here!
We held our wedding at The Barn at Blystone Farm and it turned out amazing. First, you can hardly beat how beautiful the place is; especially as the sun is setting, which you won't appreciate if you take a tour during the day. The outdoor patio with Edison light-bulb strands and bonfire was a big hit. Second, the event coordinator, Tyler, will come through for you. We planned our wedding out-of-town which makes everything a bit more of a pain. We couldn't just drop in and look at the space to make design decisions. We depended on Tyler to answer our questions (which he always did) and provide us with his opinions based on his knowledge of how weddings work in their event space. Tyler even went above and beyond on the day of our wedding when a few last minute details were getting overlooked and he took control. Third, we used their catering services and we loved the food. The down side when you're the bride and groom is you miss out on the appetizers, but our guests had great feedback on the food too. We also opted to have our rehearsal dinner at the onsite restaurant and the price was right, the beer was cold, and the atmosphere was great. Finally, one last bonus for you to consider, because they have a restaurant on the property, you get a great way to visit your wedding venue down the road if you want an anniversary tradition!
I coordinated a wedding at Blystone in June of 2019. The venue of the Blystone barn, porches, gazebo, surrounding grounds, and even the sunset view is very well appointed and beautiful for our event. I could tell there had been some careful thought and considerations made when constructing this place.
The staff was very accommodating, even stepped up with a helping hand when a member of the wedding party past out. 😳. (Always drink EXTRA water on your big day)
We had my daughter’s wedding here. It was a dream for Katie. She will not look back years to come and say, I wish we would’ve done something different. The barn was beautiful, food was excellent, the view from the porch was gorgeous. We had the ceremony out at the arbor and reception inside the barn. It was just perfect. Tyler came to me several times and asked if I needed anything, if I did he was right on it. Thank you Tyler and Blystone Farms for making Katie’s dream a reality!!
We had my daughter’s wedding here last weekend and it was amazing. We had the ceremony in front of the beautiful stone fireplace with a huge Christmas tree lit up right beside the fireplace. We had tables for the reception set up on the other end of the barn and it all worked perfectly. All of our guests commented on how beautiful everything was. They also complimented the food, especially the mashed potatoes!
Our band - The Martini Affair - just performed at The Barn at Blystone Farm for a birthday party. It's a really cool property and would be a beautiful location for a wedding. We hope to book a wedding there soon! Event Coordinator Tyler was super easy to work with - he goes the extra mile to make sure everything is perfect. Highly recommended.
Our wedding at Blystone Farm was an absolute dream. The venue itself was simply gorgeous. Tyler, the event coordinator, was great to work with, helping us navigate the whole wedding planning process while making it fun and enjoyable. All our guests loved the food- especially the mashed potato bar! When the forecast showed rain, it was no worry at all and we changed the ceremony to inside, right in front of the open barn doors overlooking the fields. And when the forecast changed last minute back to sunshine, the staff was able to move all the chairs and re-set up outside. For the reception, our guests enjoyed both the barn itself and the grounds outside. The bartenders were excellent- they seemed to always know what we were drinking and would have new drinks ready to go when we arrived at the bar. We highly recommend The Barn at Blystone Farm to anyone!
