This review is long overdue. Julie was our coordinator for my & my husband's 50th wedding anniversary on 11/05/2022. She was incredible throughout the entire process. I never got to have a big wedding or a reception with dancing for that matter, so really this was my chance at a big, beautiful wedding 50 years later! And Julie made it magical. She was there for every meeting, she worked with our vendors to make sure everything was taken care of, she had countless phone calls with us during the planning phase of the event, and she made our night so special. She helped out with every detail and didn't leave anything to chance. She wanted to make sure everything was perfect for me and my husband. She guided us through every step and was there for every question and every concern. She is so professional and has so many years of experience and it definitely shows. I remember there was a time during the reception when my dress got a bit messed up and my makeup was smearing because I was so sweaty from dancing and having a great time, that she took me to the bathroom and helped fix me back up! I don't know of any other wedding coordinator that would take the time to help the bride one-on-one to fix them back up...but Julie will! She strives to make everyone feel comfortable and to make sure everything goes off without the slightest hitch. She even helped me and my daughter out when we were taking care of payments to the catering vendors, when they were giving us a bit of a hard time. Julie has no problem stepping in and taking charge--exactly what you want in a wedding coordinator. She is amazing and I plan on using her for any parties we have in the future. Pick Julie...you will never regret it! She is incredible!
Julie is amazing!! She handled every detail from start to finish for my mom's super fun and memorable 50th wedding anniversary. Everything was seamless, from the calls with her & meeting with her during the pre-planning phase, to the walk throughs at the venue w/ her sharing her expertise regarding tables, linens, & seating arrangements down to the smallest details, to the amazing and fun night that we had! She handled everything so smoothly & was literally the glue that held us all together. She was available at all times & kept me abreast of everything happening. Even though she was in the background, we could not have pulled this huge party off without her...and in my opinion she should hold a front & center position as she was so instrumental to every single detail of the huge event. Our pictures turned out beautiful, the ceremony was amazing, & the reception was so much fun. Thank you Julie for all you do! You will be our contact for every party going forward!

Julie made our wedding day so much fun and stress free! She took care of every detail so that I could truly relax and enjoy the day, which is rare for most brides! She was so personable and sweet from the start. She is honest and dependable, and you won’t be disappointed if you hire her for your big day! She was easily the best decision I made for my wedding.
We hired Julie as our month-of coordinator for our wedding at the Darlington House on 9/29/23 and she was wonderful to work with! We loved that Julie had worked at the venue a ton before so she really knew it inside & out. You can tell that Julie has been in the business a long time which was super helpful. She was available to help answer all of our questions until she took over the coordination with all vendors the month prior and that took a lot off our plates. What I really appreciated about Julie was that she doesn't mess around. She knows her stuff, is quick to make decisions, she'll rally everyone together, she gets things done. Our day went off without a hitch, literally no issues and I think a huge part of that was because of Julie. She even kept her composure when some groomsmen ran off right before the ceremony to get pizza!! It was the best day of our lives, thank you Julie for everything!!!

This review is LONG overdue! We got married 7.4.2022 at Etherial Gardens but our original date was 2.25.2021. Due to the pandemic, we needed to reschedule our wedding date. Julie was amicable, professional, attentive, and willing to get on calls with us throughout the covid ordeal. What we loved about Julie is that although there was a long period between our original date and new wedding date, she was extremely organized with the original notes from the venue, us, and any discussions we had with the vendors. Plus, she has excellent relationships and connections with the local vendors. Julie doesn't play around either! She tells it how it is and won't sugarcoat things for you. She will let you know if something is a good idea or not but will always side with what you want as a couple.
The day of our wedding, we did not notice ANYTHING WRONG. If anything did happen, we weren't aware or she fixed it right away. She made the whole day flow flawlessly. I would HIGHLY recommend Julie as your wedding planner. We booked her for the month but honestly, the month service became almost a two year service commitment. She is reasonably priced for her years of expertise and you can't beat her price compared to other wedding planners that may offer less services in their packages. She went ABOVE AND BEYOND for booking her for the month of coordination service. I am a very hands on person so I loved planning my wedding but Julie was the icing on the cake I needed. That last month before your wedding, YOU WILL NEED HELP and of course, the day of your wedding. Our venue provided in-house event coordinators but Julie completed the team. Again, highly recommend Julie, from The Best Wedding For You in San Diego, CA for your wedding, whether it is for the month of coordination, month of coordination Plus, or a full service coordination. Oh and her husband is a DJ too!

In looking for a wedding planner for our wedding day, Julie Scrivener came highly recommended by our wedding venue, the Japanese Friendship Garden at Balboa Park. It was apparent from our first conversation that Julie was passionate and a seasoned veteran when it came to San Diego wedding planning. Her connections to fabulous vendors that she had built great relationships and repertoire with was an unparalleled asset when it came to planning our wedding. Julie was communicative, patient, kind and insightful through multiple COVID postponements from the start of planning our wedding in early 2019 to finally celebrating July 3, 2022. Julie particularly shined through on the day of our wedding - everything went smoothly and calmly, and Julie made sure that my husband & I were well taken care of. Thank you, Julie, for the years of planning and for being such an important part of our special once in a lifetime day!
Julie has to be the most talented wedding planner in the world. I cannot imagine having another planner for the most special day of our lives. Not only did she make our entire day function with no obstacles, but, she made the whole process of wedding planning so much fun. Julie is a master at her craft and worth so much more. She made sure we were living in the moment every second of the day with no worries and always stress free. It was the most beautiful day of my life and everything was absolutely perfect. My husband and I have an inside joke that "we wish Julie was handling this". Florida is so lucky she moved. We miss you Julie!

Julie is AMAZING! She was our month-of coordinator and we could not be more absolutely pleased with her work ethic and how she treated us. She is a great communicator. Julie was fantastic! Our wedding was supposed to be in 2020 and then 2021 and then finally in 2022. She stuck around and restarted the processes every time and was always on the ball. She offered great suggestions when we were out of our element and rolled with any suggestions we had. My husband and I are serial procrastinators and she was able to make sure everything got done and gave us the pressure we needed to follow through. She also dealt with my mom who could be a lot. Truly an experienced, competent, and special planner. Highly recommend!

Julie is amazing on all fronts- organized, professional, knowledgeable. We did the month of coordinator. She is reasonably priced and as a couple made of graduate/medical students that was something important to us. She is also very nice and helpful. When our wedding was postponed twice (i.e. 3 different wedding dates) due to the covid pandemic, she was flexible and willing to continue to work with us. I will say to look at what the wedding coordinator option includes: we didn't realize that creating a layout of the venue (i.e. where tables, chairs, DJ, cake, buffet, etc.) was supposed to be completed by us and not her. (Thankfully she helped us create a layout as she knew the venue and was able to give her input!!) Only thing that probably could've been improved (and it's very minute) was the creating the "day of schedule" on word doc and having us edit and send to her... it probably would have been easier to create a google doc because then we could just comment/edit at the same time. But she's been in the business for 10+ years so she has a method that works for her! On the wedding day itself, Julie was very organized and if there were mini fires (or really any fires) we had no idea because she was able to handle it all so we could enjoy our wedding worry/stress free. Would 100% choose to work with Julie and recommend you all to do the same too!

Julie was the best part of planning our wedding, no doubt! She was prompt, professional, and attentive to our needs as a couple and as wedding planners. We had several specific needs that Julie went above and beyond to accommodate without question or added cost, her ability to adapt to whatever came up from us or vendors was incredible. She was always willing to meet via Zoom (due to the pandemic and distance between us) whenever needed with a smile. Dealing with vendors for the wedding she was always on top of the details and spared no effort in getting everything straightened out as soon as possible. We could not have done this wedding without Julie at our side the whole time, she was absolutely the valuable part of our planning phase!
Julie Scrivener is an outstanding wedding planner and did such a wonderful job with our August 2021 wedding! We interviewed a few planners and chose her, and are so glad we did. She was very professional, organized, detail-oriented and guiding without being pushy. She gave us endless direction, ideas, options, but always reminded us "this is your wedding so you can do whatever you'd like!" Our wedding day went perfectly thanks to Julie's organization, planning & hard work.
We also went with her "team" package and used her husband DJ Mick as our DJ. He is super entertaining and really had a knack for the small details that are involved in the vibe of the evening. They both really knew how to set expectations for our guests to let them know we were all going to have a blast!

I cannot say enough good things about our fairy godmother aka wedding planner Julie! Where do I begin. I grew up in San Diego and moved away after college but always dreamed about coming home to get married. I just want to say whether you are a local or long distance bride Julie goes above and beyond in every way to make your day the best it can be! Not only is she the sweetest lady but she truly cares about what she does. She starts about three months before your wedding with every referral you could possibly imagine! From our grooms cake to room blocks at Lowes for our out of town guests (including us). Then a month before she really gets into all the details including a four page information page where she goes over every possible detail she may need to know! From the moment you walk in to the moment you leave! She coordinated our entire timeline which was so difficult to nail down. She put out our name cards, and decorated our plates with cookies and custom m&m’s not to mention taking down our floral arch from our ceremony and putting it on our sweetheart table. We literally would not have been able to get married in my home town without Julie!. Julie I cannot thank-you enough for making this wedding one we will remember all our lives! I highly recommend her.
Julie is truly a life saver! By far the best money we spent on our wedding was having Julie help us with the entire planning process! She is worth every penny! We had a COVID-postponed wedding and would have been incredibly stressed if it wasn't for her amazing coordination! Throughout the 2-year long wedding process, she was always extremely responsive, organized and really helped us plan for things we never even considered! Especially on the wedding day, it was amazing how well everything was coordinated and she really helped to keep us on schedule. Julie was so incredible from start to finish! She always made us feel like we were her most important couple, and was quick and attentive wit her communications. She was able to recommend vendors within our budget for every aspect of our ceremony and even hung in there with us when we had to postpone for a year due to covid. We originally hired Julie for our 2020 wedding that due to the pandemic needed to be postponed to 2021. Once we made the decision to move our date Julie immediately contacted all our vendors and gave us new dates that worked for everyone. I head so many horror stories about couples trying to postpone but ours was so easy and that was all due to the hard work of Julie. You wouldn’t have even known it was her first pandemic!

Julie was fantastic. My daughter decided to put together an entire wedding in about 6 weeks. Julie was extremely organized, recommended several vendors and all were great. She kept my daughter focused on the big picture and letting the little stuff go since we didn't have time for everything.
Julie was the wedding planner for my sister’s wedding back in 2015. She did such an amazing job I knew that I knew I had to hire her as mine when I got married. During these Covid times, having a wedding planner is an absolute must. Julie was such a huge asset to me during the stress of planning this wedding. I am an anxiety ridden person and she helped me to calm down many different times. Even from the start I had an emotional breakdown deciding between two different venues. I sent an email to her late that night in tears and she immediately got back to me and gave all this great advice to help me make that big decision. We had to postpone our wedding and Julie was so helpful in coordinating with vendors to find a new date. She has so much knowledge and experience in the wedding business that she has many great suggestions and vendor contacts that will ensure your day turns out amazing. She is exceptionally organized and the materials she provides you will help you stay organized as well. She was a joy to work with the entire two years up until my wedding. Julie really shines though on the actual day of the wedding. If it wasn’t for her, I would have been a stressed-out mess. Even the morning of the wedding we had a groomsman and guests drop out and Julie took care of all the changes that needed to happen. I knew I could put all of my trust in her. We had a couple situations come up at the wedding and she quickly and quietly took care of these. She even bustled my dress for me when my mom and sister were having issues with it. I can’t stress how much of a relief it is to have Julie around on your big day. She is just fantastic. Even more so, she is married to an amazing DJ and they are the dynamic duo. I would definitely recommend Julie as your wedding planner and her husband Mick as the DJ for your wedding!

Where do I begin?! Julie is AMAZING! Prior to our wedding I had pretty much zero wedding experience so Julie had her work cut out for her with us! Haha She recommended a florist who we loved and helped set up everything like the photo booth and dessert! Julie is so organized and reliable. 2 things all brides can appreciate! She is also very kind and patient. Once the pandemic hit things were planned, replanned and replanned again but Julie was always there for us! She kept my sanity during a time of so much uncertainty with sticking to safe guidelines and keeping everyones health a top priority. In October 2020 we had a small, intimate ceremony which truly was the most beautiful, stress free, best day of our lives. We truly got to be in the moment. My husband and I could not have asked for a better wedding day. We highly recommend Julie! Thank you so much for everything!

I seriously do not know what I would have done without Julie. After having to postpone our date twice and change venues three times we decided to hire Julie to help us pull off our perfect day. She was so organized, professional and on top of everything. She thought of things I would never have even considered. We did our wedding on private property so no venue which mean we had to do it all and she seriously helped coordinate and pull everything together. If I had to give any bride any advice it would be to hire Julie!!! I couldn't stop telling my parents leading up to the day how thankful I was to have Julie in my life!!
Julie might be the perfect wedding planner; experienced, patient, full of ideas when you need them and supportive of yours when you don't. She listens, responds to emails promptly and has some great, easy-to-use tools to keep you on track. She knows the most reliable vendors in the business and every one we worked with was exceptional. We made big changes to the plans just 3 days before the wedding, moving the reception indoors due to weather, and it didn't phase her. She re-arranged the plans, and made the day seamless. Having her expertise on the day to coordinate all the vendors and keep the logistics of the party coordinated were simply invaluable; she gave me a priceless gift of being able to focus on my new husband, family and friends. Julie's month-of-coordination services was the perfect fit for our needs. I am comfortable with contracts, vendors, budgeting, and basic scheduling... but once our wedding was just 30 days away, knowing that Julie was in ultimate coordinator-mode over the details truly helped me relax and enjoy our once-in-a-lifetime celebration.
Julie was on the preferred vendor list for our venue, and she has absolutely earned her great reputation. One thing I particularly admired about how she works, is that she is an EFFICIENT COMMUNICATOR who is clear, concise, and friendly all at once. She is a calm, natural leader who knows all the ins and outs, and works amazingly well with every vendor to bring it all together. It is my impression that she approaches every wedding with great care, love, and respect.

I'll preface this with the fact that I am a psycho, type A, control freak and although I knew I needed help, I also knew it would be hard to give up control.
That being said, Julie was one of the better decisions we made when it came to vendors. This woman makes it look easy. She tackled every problem, every snag, every step of the wedding with ease. She managed every vendor, she brought the entire wedding to life. I was in awe at what she was able to accomplish, how smooth it went and how easy she made the day.
I was not an easy bride and Julie is an angel for managing my wedding! We had to move the reception indoors last minute and that was as easy as pie to Julie. Honestly, I never saw her sweat!
I would highly recommend Julie as your wedding planner. She brought my vision to life and I can't thank her enough!
I was on the fence about having a coordinator because I knew I’d be planning the wedding on my own and was confident in my ability. I decided to hire Julie as a day-of coordinator and I’m so happy with that decision. If you doubt your own ability to plan meticulous details, I’d even recommend hiring her for more than day-of. Julie is so professional, communicates well with very clear emails, and is incredibly responsive. She has thought of everything- things you’ll likely forget or overlook- and she gets things done. I was pretty stressed on my wedding day and it was such a relief knowing I had her to make sure things ran smoothly. She kept things on schedule at the reception, she boxed us up food to make sure we actually ate, and stayed at the end of the night to help us clean up and pack up all our things. I was so pleased with both her and her husband (elite British DJ) and feel like I chose so wisely with them as a pair. I’d recommend her without hesitation. Stop looking for a planner/coordinator- you just found the best!
Julie is so fantastic!!!! My mom and I had gone back and forth about if we needed a month-of coordinator, and luckily when we decided to hire one, Julie was still available! She made our wedding day run so smoothly, I can’t imagine having our wedding without her! She knew every detail about our wedding day like the back of her hand. We had a couple meetings with her beforehand, including one at our venue since she had never been there before and she wanted to make sure she was prepared.
On the day of our wedding, Julie was so amazing! She was great at making sure we both had everything we wanted and needed. She also wanted to make sure we were calm and not nervous all day as well! She did a fantastic job of making sure everything we brought to have her set out was done and in place when she got there. Julie was also great at making sure everybody was where they needed to be during our family photos. Even when my brother (who was walking my mom down the aisle) ripped his pants 20 minutes before the ceremony started, Julie remained calm and made sure we had a sewing kit to fix them.

Julie at The Best Wedding for You was ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC! I could not have hosted such a beautiful wedding without Julie's help. Julie is extremely experienced and knowledgeable about weddings...from the planning and preparing, to the actual wedding day. She always had great advice, suggestions and ideas when I needed them. Julie's assistance in coordinating our vendors and the timeline for the wedding day was invaluable, as was her help with our dress rehearsal. Her assistance on the wedding day was fabulous! As the mother of the bride, I was able to relax and enjoy my daughter's wedding because Julie was there to take care of all the details, coordinated all the major events during the wedding, and handled any issues that came up during the wedding and got them resolved asap! Julie was fantastic every step of the process. Over the course of the 9-month wedding planning process, I finished grad school, prepared for a board exam, and started a new job, and Julie kept everything wedding-related running smoothly while still checking in at every step to make sure that the day was exactly what we wanted--and it was! Beginning a month before the wedding (when our contract started), I found Julie to be incredibly detail oriented, very responsive, and full of great ideas and advice! During the planning process, Julie thought of details I would have not have thought about otherwise. She created a the perfect timeline for the wedding - we would have been at a total loss in this area without her expertise. Our timeline was tight since we did not do a first look, but Julie was able to prioritize sunset photos and fit in all our wedding day events seamlessly even when our wedding fell 10 mins behind. Because of Julie, we did not have to worry about details and we could enjoy our wedding without stress. We thank Julie so much for her hard work and attentiveness. I don't know what else to say about Julie short of that she's an AMAZING WONDER WOMAN. Hiring Julie for the month leading up to my wedding was hands down the best thing I could have done. Without her, I feel as though I wouldn't have been able to be the cool, calm, and collected bride I was on my wedding day. Julie was totally on it from the get go- she made sure my wedding went on without a hitch even though we had a chance of rain. Compliments galore of how perfect my wedding looked and how smoothly my wedding went- from aesthetics to timing, etc. The biggest compliment I received from people was that my wedding was so relaxed and that they felt like they really were on vacation. In addition to Julie's help on the big day, she helped me pull off the very difficult task of surprising my fiance with an art show the night before. Julie absolutely was the best!! Cannot thank her enough for all the help she was on our special day! We got married 4/27/19 at Kona Kai! We had a bridal/groom party of 5 each and 100 guests. I had a lot of decor and had made my own centerpieces. She set up everything perfectly. The whole day was executed just right with getting everyone where they needed to be guests seated and the bridal party ready to go. Everything was brought back to my room afterwards and I didnt have to worry about a thing. It was such a chaotic day and I am truly grateful to have such an organized and great coordinate to execute to the day! We chose a combination package with Wedding Coordinator and DJ team. It was the best decision for us because they worked very well together and gave us great advice on how to carry out our wedding plans. As you can imagine, there were plenty of snags to deal with as we closed in on our special day. But, Julie was very helpful with rehearsal in putting our minds at ease and to carry out final details. We asked quite a lot for Julie to do in a short period of time based on what the wedding venue allowed. Julie and her assistant were able to fulfill our vision of how we wanted our plans for wedding decorations carried out. Cannot say enough positive things about her professionalism and the extra care that Julie put into making ours a very special wedding from the beginning to the very end. Julie is amazing! She knows her stuff and helped us create the Wedding Event of the Season. From the very start we knew she was the right choice for our Daughter's December 2018 Wedding. The questions she asked, her experienced guidance and follow-up were amazing. Every detail was planned and executed perfectly. Julie and I met for the first time to just go over basic logistics and to see what services I needed. She has a survey/questionnaire to fill out which helped me get a better idea of what she would be doing for my wedding (the day of and services I needed prior). She's super super organized (I really don't know how she does this job!!), emails my vendors when I have a question, answers all my questions in a timely manner, and then went with me to go through florals and food tasting.
Julie has a website you can use to keep everything organized and tasks she gives you to make sure you're on track and also had a list of vendors if I needed anything. I ended up using her hair and make up recommendation along with her floral rec and I'm so glad I did. I planned my wedding in about 4 months, but I really feel like I only spent about a month or even less, actually needing to do things for my wedding. I just put my trust into Julie and everything got done or she told me what to do and it was just so easy! The day of my wedding was absolutely stress free and I have Julie to thank for that. If you want someone who knows the industry, gets the job done, is so much fun to work with, and doesn't give you any stress during the process then Julie is your gal!! I got so many compliments about my wedding and everyone had so much fun!
Words can't even begin to describe how amazing Julie was. We had a complex traditional Indian wedding with and involved parents, and Julie did such a great job of making sure everyone felt important, but that we (as the bride and groom) ultimately got what we wanted. This was a destination wedding for us and Julie let us ship a bunch of stuff to her house months before. We wanted a coordinator who was polite ,but also not afraid to be assertive to guests so we could have everything go on time and as schedule - Julie did exactly that. The whole day went smoothly and ON TIME (which rarely happens at Indian weddings!) and this couldn't have happen without Julie. Best decision we made.
If I could give Julie more than 5 stars I absolutely would. She is so incredibly knowledgeable, willing and wanting to help in anyway possible, extremely professional, and I have no doubt in my mind that she was the reason our wedding turned out perfectly. She helped my husband and I plan our wedding in no more than four months, and I wouldn't have changed a thing about it. She recommended multiple vendors to us (everyone of which we were extremely pleased with), worked with our odd schedules, and kept us informed about every detail. She put so much time and effort into making sure our wedding was ABSOLUTELY perfect, and it was. She removed a majority (if not all) of the stress that comes with planning a wedding, and my husband and I never once worried about whether or not any details were being overlooked or missed as she took care of everything. My husband and I were quite spoiled in that we worked with Julie for over a year before our wedding; other than our reception venue to set a date, she was the first vendor we hired after getting engaged! She had an extensive list of vendor recommendations from which we selected most of our wedding vendors. She was very responsive and incredibly detail-oriented. Julie's experience in the industry really shows as she thinks of things that my husband and I never considered until she brought it up. We consulted with her on a lot of choices we had to make, and she provided smart, honest and thoughtful feedback that were valuable to us. She came with us to select our linens, to our menu tasting, to floral meeting + mock-up and did a thorough site run-through with us - again, a lifesaver.
On the day of our wedding, I didn't have to direct a single vendor on where they needed to be - Julie had it handled beforehand. If there were a problem with any of them, I would have never known because the reception was perfect when we got there! Julie created a very detailed timeline for the bridal party and our vendors; these definitely helped make the day go more smoothly.
Overall, I highly recommend having Julie as your wedding coordinator. There is no denying that planning a wedding is stressful, but having a professional whom you can rely on makes the process easier and more fun!
My now wife and I were a bit hesitant to shell out the cash on a wedding coordinator as we thought we were pretty organized people. But boy, are we glad we hired Julie to be the coordinator for our wedding at Scripps Seaside forum. From our first meeting, she was extremely organized, friendly and knowledgable about all aspects of wedding planning. She had great vendor referrals and always answered our texts and emails promptly. She also accompanied us to vendor meetings and gave truthful, unbiased opinions on whether we should spend the extra money on things like outdoor furniture or if the budget could be used elsewhere. Come the weekend of the wedding, Julie was absolutely crucial to the smooth ceremony and reception. She organized the ceremony, set up decorations, developed the timeline, oversaw all the vendors, etc. If you're getting married in San Diego and want to be able to enjoy planning your wedding with minimal stress, I highly recommend you hire Julie to coordinate your wedding. She did a phenomenal job!
What can we say about Julie? She was absolutely perfect for us. She was super responsive, organized, and made our wedding day a stress-free affair. When we first started planning our wedding, we did not realize how much work a coordinator had to do...boy are we glad we had one (and specifically, had Julie)! If I have one piece of advice when wedding planning, it would be to hire a Wedding Planner that gets really involved at least 3 months (or more) ahead of your big day. And if you're in the market for a wedding planner, Julie is who you should hire! She is experienced, has great connections with the wedding vendor community, she is professional, prepared, and not afraid to stay on the timeline and keep people/guests in line in a gentle yet direct manner! We worked with Julie during the 10 months we planned our wedding and she relieved an incredible amount of stress from me (bride), the groom, and my family. On the day of, I didn't have to lift a finger and we coordinated enough of the details ahead of time that my family had very little to do or pack at the end of the night. Julie allows you to feel like a guest at your own wedding! The wedding planning process is already stressful enough, but I cannot imagine planning my wedding without Julie!

Julie is simply the best at what she does. She was my lifeline during my wedding planning. She is very professional and responds in a timely manner. She took away a lot of the stress and sends me reminders on the tasks I need to do and I never felt pressured. While I was getting ready in my suite, more than one sibling/BM, who aren't afraid to hold back opinions, praised her hard work, and said you can tell she knew what she was doing, and that the venue was looking well prepped.
She was excellent in keeping things moving along smoothly and in a timely manner. She controlled the food stations to avoid bottle necking, cued the DJ for what was next, made sure gifts, and anything going back was handled, and that all that needed to be done so that we get our security deposit back was taken care of. Because, if cleaning up after your own wedding isn't a buzz kill, I don't know what is!
I wasn't sure at first if having a coordinator was worth part of the budget. Seriously, the day went by too fast, to have to deal with logistics and vendors the day of. I am so glad we chose to invest in our sanity during the planning process, have her guidance & expertise,, and be able to fully enjoy our wedding day.

We really can't thank Julie enough for orchestrating the most amazing, perfect wedding day we ever could have imagined!!! We came from in out of town to do an intimate elopement ceremony on the beach. From the moment I contacted her, (about a year before our big day) Julie really listened to my vision and was immediately putting in work to make it happen! She was VERY responsive and detailed with several emails back and forth over the course of a year, phone calls, giving us info and contacting different vendors, and best of all.. showing us the home away app and suggesting renting a beach house instead of staying in a hotel... which turned out to be the greatest idea EVER!!! Saying our vows at that private, intimate location was so amazing and it definitely would not have been the same experience had we done it somewhere else!
On the day of our wedding Julie was SO on top of it! In addition to all her wedding coordinator duties, she also somehow managed to pull off babysitter/nanny duties and keep both of our boys happy and help hold it together when they started having one of their melt downs haha ;) We were a little worried going into it, not having any family there to help out but as it turns out we had nothing to worry about because Julie handled it all... and all with an amazing, calm demeanor and smile on her face!

I would like to explain and give an example of just how sweet Julie is. I had my reception on a military base which started at 6 pm. Since it was a military base there are certain rules, one being you are not allowed to start setting up until 2 hours before. My wedding ceremony was at a church at 2 pm and the church had a wedding planner so i did not need Julie at the church (also she had a lot to do to get ready for my reception). When I pulled up to the church, guess who was standing there....Julie! She came to the church and surprised me!
Like i said Julie is the best of the best and if you are able to book her before someone else does you wont regret it.
We found Julie when we found Mick our DJ. We where so lucky to have had them both help with our wedding. Together these two do a great job of organizing and assisting with the wedding. So you got engaged! Congrats and hugs and questions... lots and lots of questions... the ones that you haven't even begun to try to figure out and not sure you ever will. At least that was me before I met Julie - and she thought of even more questions, all those little details you would never consider that amount to that perfect day. Will Grandma walk down the aisle? How should you order your maids and groomsmen? What time do you need to start getting ready if you want to do first look photos with a ceremony at 3? Let's be honest - it's your big day and everyone you love is in town for it and you can barely think straight due to nerves BUT you have Julie. And Julie will keep you right on schedule and arrange all of those little crafty things you spent months creating for the card table that you forget about on the actual day and before you know it, without you having to bat a glued-on eyelash, everything will be just as you imagined and more. Because she cares. You can tell when someone does something because they love it, there's an extra touch and ease to the whole thing. My flower girl was without flowers minutes before we were walking down and ,*pluck pluck pluck*, Julie chose a few from each maids' bouquet and in less than 10 seconds the problem was already solved and forgotten and we were back to the main issue at hand - not crying. Hire Julie. She is awesome. Your day will be incredible and you will be so thankful that you found her.
As soon as my husband and I met Julie we knew we wanted to hire her. She truly does a spectacular job at what she does and is very efficient. We definitely were a little more laid back than usual on our deadlines and such but Julie helped keep us on top of what we needed to get done. Our venue required us to bring in all vendors and Julie provided some excellent recommendations - a great added bonus to working with her. Julie offers several package options that customize how much involvement you want her to have in helping her plan your wedding. We choose the month before the wedding and day of coordinator services she offers. Until your wedding, you get helpful emails (only once a month or so, they’re not intrusive at all) with hints about organizing or planning, and Julie is available for all your questions. She also had fantastic recommendations for other vendors that she’d worked with before and found good.
Once we got to a month from the wedding she took over the planning and organizing. She coordinated between me and the venue to make sure we were all on the same page; she organized a timeline for the bride and groom, wedding party, all other vendors, and family so that everyone knew where they were supposed to be and at what time (our master timeline was over 7 pages and we only had a 5 hour ceremony/reception with 90 guests!); she contacted all the vendors and made sure they knew what was going on and would show up on time; she set up all our wedding favors, the guest book table, and made sure that any outside ceremony flowers were moved inside for the reception; and took care of a million other little details.
Our wedding went off without a hitch and I honestly think it’s because Julie made that happen. I am an incredibly organized person, but I still don’t have the knowledge or awareness to be able to coordinate a wedding. Additionally, the last thing you want to be doing is setting out favors at your own wedding and it’s so relaxing to know that someone reliable is taking care of everything for you.
Julie is kind, funny, knowledgeable, incredibly responsive to your emails, and all around amazing to work with. Julie (and her husband Mick as our DJ) were easily the best choice we could have made and I would happily recommend them to everyone.
