Perfect dress at perfect price!Reviewed on 11/15/2011 Sammie F
I looked high and low for a dress in the southeast, Atlanta, Nashville, Chattanooga, etc and none fit me how I wanted them too because I am so petite and the prices were unreal. I could not justify spending over $1,000 for a dress worn once then stored away. I happend to drive by this store on my way to TN one day. I saw a gown in the window and thought I would give it a shot. They had an AMAZING clearance rack with discontinued dresses. I tried on a Gorgeous Maggie Sottero gown, originally $1400 and it was marked down multiple times to $99! I was stunned and excited that I had found the gown that fit me better than any I had tried one and the price obviously was better than any other bridal store I had been too. The ladies there were very nice and helpful and let my mom, sister, and I look through the dresses on our own and we didn't feel pressured or smothered.
The dress!Reviewed on 7/18/2011 Danielle K
The Century House in Scottsboro is a privately owned bridal boutique that has been open to the public since they were established in 1971. They carry various brands of bridal and prom dresses including, but not limited to Maggie Sottero and Casablanca. You are sure to be treated with respect and the lady that sells the dresses will always give you an honest opinion and will select dresses for you to try on that help you decide on the perfect dress. I tried on 5 dresses in her shop and she saved the one that she thought I would choose until last. The second that I tried it on, I knew that it was my dress. The flattering criss-cross waist line and the sweetheart style with ruching was the perfect combination for my curvy figure. On the day of my wedding, I didn't fret because she made sure that my final fitting was flawless. I was 100% pleased with my Century House purchase. My husband also went here to rent the tuxedos for the groomsmen. She recommended a lightweight khaky suit since we were having a beach wedding. The men were very pleased that she chose something lightweight and comfortable that they could wear for hours.
