The Flying Ivories were amazing! They were wonderful to work with leading up to our wedding day and were responsive and professional. They kept the crowd going all night and our guests are still talking about how much they loved The Flying Ivories. We 100% recommend booking them for any wedding or event!

There are no words to thank James Barr for truly making our son and daughter-in-law’s wedding a very special event. Due to a number of reasons (covid restrictions,serious family illness) a very small brunch wedding at Charlie’s of Bayhead was planned for Sunday, June 27,2021. We were apprehensive as to how this would be a memorable occasion with 30 family members and friends and 1 musician. Well, coming from every guest there, as well as ourselves, this was the most wonderful wedding celebration ever. From beginning to end, the room was filled with love, joy and thanks to James, beautiful music! !! He is elegant, classy and fun all rolled up into one. James was low key, knew exactly how to set the tone and had guests, much to our surprise, on their feet, singing and dancing! What a talented gentleman !! There are not enough stars to give, and for anyone looking for outstanding entertainment for an upcoming occasion, we cannot recommend The Flying Ivories enough. Thank you, James, from the bottom of our hearts!

Could not recommend highly enough. Adam was very professional and very easy to work with. They had fantastic energy and our guests had a blast thanks to the flying ivories.

My wife and I couldn't be more pleased that we hired the Flying Ivories to perform at our wedding! We booked two individuals (Adam and Brad) who brought their keyboard setups for our 33-person (vaccinated) wedding. We were blown away! Both performers were tremendous not only as pianists (ask them to play Billy Joel's Angry Young Man), but as vocalists and MCs. I've never been to a wedding where the performer had to ask people to stop dancing because the food was being served. I think every single guest came up to us either during or immediately after the reception to say how much fun it was. If you're even vaguely thinking about hiring the Flying Ivories, you should do it. They were a joy to work with throughout the process, very responsive, and above all fun. I'm already thinking how I can get them to play for a couple of professional groups I'm involved in. James, Adam, and Brad - if you're reading this, thank you for such an amazing show and for making our wedding one that people are going to be reminiscing about for a long time!

Best part of our wedding!! They were so responsive all along the way with questions we had. They were so flexible on the day of, they kept to our initial schedule, but when we had to change it on the fly, they did so very smoothly. Our guests could not stop raving about how good they were the day after the wedding. They put on an amazing show and I would highly recommend them for your event!

Did not end up experiencing the music myself due to covid, but from our first conversation with James until our last when we unfortunately had to cancel, James was professional, flexible and easy to work with. I also initially picked Flying Ivories over some competitors because I was able to work the actual musicians versus a sales person. Will use in the future!

We recently hired The Flying Ivories for our daughter’s wedding. We had the trio of Adam Knauss, Elaina and Tony. We were absolutely delighted with the performance and the music! It was such fun. There were several opportunities for the crowd to participate and participate they did! The final song, complete with crowd participation, provided a great ending to the party as well as a wonderful send off for the happy couple. It was so much fun!!!!! Thank you so very much! It was much more that we had expected.

Adam, Melia, and Dwane were AMAZING. Our guests talked about their performance for weeks after the wedding. They did such a great job engaging the crowd. They are truly excellent musicians and highly professional. They even emcee'd our ceremony and dinner before the performance free of charge!! We highly, highly, highly recommend the Flying Ivories!

I can’t say enough amazing things about Flying Ivories. Absolutely the best decision we made for our wedding. This is the first wedding we’ve been to where the dance floor was packed the entire night, no one wanted to stop dancing. Everyone has been telling us how much fun they had and how unique it was. Flying Ivories are the perfect choice if you want to have an amazingly fun time, dance a lot and sing along. Highly recommend!!

Of all the vendors we chose I can honestly say that the best decision we made was having Flying Ivories provide the music to our reception. From the start, we knew our wedding was going to be untraditional.  It was cocktail style with outdoor games and no dancing (Although some spontaneous dancing did occur).  We needed a musical act that was unique with equal parts interaction and entertainment for our guests.  The idea to have a dueling piano act perform came to us and, after a lot of research and a little back-and-forth, we chose to go with Flying Ivories. Besides being technically skilled these guys are also a pleasure to deal with.  James answered all of our questions and was quick to respond. We sent them a fairly detailed list of songs and genres we liked and they really did a great job weaving together what we asked for with requests from our guests. True to their word, what sets these guys apart is their ability to read the room.  They knew when to get people on their feet and when to let them relax.  They weren't pressuring people to dance or scaring them away. Our only regret was not capturing their performance on film. We had endless compliments on James' and Adam's performance and the vibe they set for the whole night. Plus they were just genuinely really nice people.

We loved the music already and we knew that dueling pianos would be a little different then your traditional wedding bands but never knew how great it would turn out. All of our guests absolutely LOVED the band and overwhelmingly provided their feedback on how great the music was. Brad was excellent to work with and made this the easiest and one of the best parts of our wedding. Highly recommend if you are partial to your guests having a great time!

We had the Flying Ivories play at our wedding last December. They were both punctual and professional. They are incredibly talented musicians that kept our guests dancing from the first song they played, until the end of the evening. They were funny, energetic, and engaging. I highly recommend the Flying Ivories for your wedding, or any function you may be considering them for.

The Flying Ivories was the best entertainment decision we could have made for our wedding. Adam and his team were energetic and profession from the start. He gave us advice and tips on ways to improve the overall experience. Adam was accommodating with music requests and performer requests. He was proactive with getting our wedding information so he was prepared for our big day. On our wedding day we didn't have to worry about a thing. The team was on time and ready to make our day smooth and perfect. From ceremony music to introductions and the main show during the reception all of our expectations were met and more. Our guests had an amazing time and the dance floor was packed the entire night which is exactly what we wanted. We would recommend them to anyone looking for a unique music experience for their wedding.

Dueling pianos at a wedding? It doesn’t sound right to most people at first, but booking the Flying Ivories was the best decision! Over a year later we still get compliments! I saw the Flying Ivories at my best friend’s wedding and it was the best wedding I had been to yet! I too doubted dueling pianos originally. They were absolutely amazing and kept the party going the entire time. I knew as soon as I got engaged they had to play at our wedding! James was easy to work with and quick on communication. We had a specific rendition we wanted for our first dance and started to get concerned we wouldn’t be able to pull off our dance, but Brad was perfect! Why did we worry in the first place?! Everyone loved them and we received so many compliments and others saying how at their wedding they’ll have to have dueling pianos. Of course, all the doubters said they were completely wrong. Not only are they entertaining these guys were rockstars and didn’t take a break to keep the party going! I would love to get married again just to have another reception with them. If you want “the best wedding” your guests have been too or “the most fun” book the Flying Ivories and they’ll make it happen!

Brad and Kaitlyn were absolutely amazing. Hiring the Flying Ivories was the best decision we made for our wedding; they were entertaining, interactive, unique-yet-wedding appropriate... they really were beyond perfect and we thought we had seen it all. Everyone loved it, and their sets and comedy served as a wonderful ice breaker that also kept the night moving along nicely. My fiance and I hired the Flying Ivories for our September 2018 wedding. We initially were trying to decide whether we wanted a DJ or a band. I randomly stumbled upon the idea of dueling pianos for a wedding - and I could NOT be more thrilled that I did. I reached out to Ricky of the Flying Ivories and was impressed by him from the first email we exchanged. He is incredibly professional and prompt. He has an infectious enthusiasm and a way of making you feel very at ease. He was extremely patient in helping me figure out our needs. The Flying Ivories ultimately provided MC services, recorded music for our ceremony and dinner, live solo piano for our cocktail hour, and an incredible live 3 hour dueling piano show (2 pianists and a drummer). He patiently worked with me to ensure that we had all of our song selections and MC needs in order ahead of time. He was very meticulous in making sure everything was perfect, but was able to accommodate any changes I needed right up to the last minute. I was initially nervous about dueling pianos as wedding entertainment. I was worried it was too non-traditional and I was praying that people would be into it. My anxiety was completely unfounded. If you have a crowd that loves to sing and dance and make requests, THE FLYING IVORIES ARE FOR YOU. My guests never left the dance floor and were constantly writing down songs requests. They guys read the crowd and played exactly the right music - filtering out bad requests and melding together songs. The next morning, everyone said that it was the best wedding entertainment they had ever seen. My wedding coordinator and photographer also both pulled me aside to say how impressed they were (high praise from people who see a lot of weddings!). My husband and I had an absolute blast and we spent the next week recapping all of our favorite moments on the dance floor. I truly cannot sing the praises of the Flying Ivories enough. It was the best decision we made for our wedding. Hire them for your next event!!!
