I attended a delightful soiree at the Hertzog Homestead Events Venue. It was a gathering of family and friends. I felt as if I stepped into something that should have been on the pages of The Knot, Country Living Magazine. The venue is set in a limestone barn with beautiful wood... Read More beams which crisscross the vaulted ceiling and are enhanced by white lights. The lights draw attention to the unique architecture and give the place a lovely and unique ambiance. The fields surrounding the venue give one the feeling of peace. I thought the place delightful before the sun had set but after the setting of the sun, the place was breath taking. I was surprised at how cool and comfortable the place was, as the temperatures were in the 90's that day, but the stone walls of the barn kept the atmosphere fairly comfortable. The Hertzog's were extremely welcoming and attentive to the needs of all their guests. Several of the younger folks enjoyed the dance floor during the evening while others played board games. Still some of us just enjoyed the company and companionship of each other. We had an exceptional time. Thank you Hertzog Homestead for providing us with a wonderful evening of family, friends and fellowship.

Hertzog Homestead is a country B&B that is now hosting events. Our wedding reception was in the 1813 barn. It is a beautiful structure that still feels like a real barn. Inside we had the rockin' dance floor, buffet, and bar. Our guests did not feel at all crowded. We also... Read More had the run of the expansive grounds, with wide lawns and a fire pit 500 feet away for s'mores and quiet moments. Kristen and Scott were wonderful hosts. They never pressured us, just paid attention to all the details and supported us all the way through. We found the pricing very reasonable. We highly recommend this venue to anyone who wants country charm and a relaxed atmosphere.
