The First Look

The L.A. Hotel Downtown is a four-star modern and sleek high-rise hotel in Los Angeles, California. The hotel is within walking distance to The Walt Disney Concert Hall, Bunker Hill, the Music Center, the Broad and MOCA Museums and Grand Park. The venue hosts wedding receptions and other wedding events.

California Grand Ballroom. The 7,373-square-foot California Grand Ballroom is located on the second floor of the hotel. The ballroom showcases a high ceiling, elegant hanging lights and a neutral decor. The room, which can be divided into four smaller spaces, accommodates up to 500 guests for a seated dinner.

California Grand Foyer. The 10,089-square foot California Grand Foyer, located outside the ballroom, accommodates up to 1,000 guests for a cocktail reception. It features large skylights that offer ample natural light.

Pacific Ballroom. The 4,291-square-foot Pacific Ballroom is located on the second floor of the hotel. The ballroom features a neutral color scheme, wall sconces and colorful carpeting. The room, which can be divided into three smaller spaces, accommodates up to 320 guests for a seated dinner and up to 467 guests for a cocktail reception.

What You Should Know

Couples work with an event planner to plan their wedding, and an on-site manager is available on the wedding day. Silver, gold and diamond wedding packages are available. Packages include a complimentary wedding menu tasting for up to four guests, a one-hour reception with open bar and passed hors d'oeuvres, a three-course dinner with choice of entree, a champagne toast and wedding cake.

Supplied banquet items include tables, chairs, silverware, glassware, linens and votive candles. A dance floor and DJ table, as well as display tables for cake, gifts and place cards, are available. Chiavari chairs and specialty linens, as well as late-night reception stations, can be added to the package for an extra fee.

We had our ceremony and reception at The LA Hotel Downtown. The wedding was amazing and it far exceeded our expectations. Let's start with Elisa, the event coordinator. She's just simply amazing. She's professional, organized and punctual and returned emails and phones calls in... Read More timely manner. She really took the stress off of our shoulder before and during the event. Her team of staff are friendly and helpful. They greeted us with smiles every time. She setup an impressive food tasting presentation with the chef, and the little modification we requested on individual dishes were perfectly done. We received numerous compliments from our guests and vendors on how the beautiful the hotel was. At the end of the night, our photographer said "this is the friendliest venue they have worked with. They let you do what you need to do to make things work."
