Mint Museum Randolph, located in what was the original branch of the United States Mint, opened in 1936 in Charlotte’s Eastover neighborhood as the first art museum in North Carolina. Today, intimate galleries invite visitors to engage with Art of the Ancient Americas, Ceramics and Decorative Arts, Fashion, European, African, and Asian art, among other collections, along with a Heritage Gallery describing the museum’s fascinating history.

o and the reception inside in the Atrium. The pricing was very reasonable (note you must purchase alcohol from them) and John, the events manager, was good to work with but required several follow-ups and back-and-forths via email to make sure we were on the same page with a few details. Our final guest count (74) was right in line with our estimate and we were assured the reception space was plenty big enough to accommodate us, but the dance floor space was very tight, even after removing the sweetheart table and food tables once we ate dinner. That was the only negative in our assessment. The overall event and setting were lovely and we got lots of compliments on our venue choice.

The Mint Museum Randolph was an amazing venue! Christina helped us from start to finish and met with us many times throughout planning to make sure we fine tuned everything as we went along. Wedding day itself was incredible, it stormed outside...

during our ceremony (which was thankfully upstairs in the gallery) and when we came back downstairs the “rain plan” had been implemented, tables moved from outside to inside and nobody missed a beat! The museum staff that was onsite that evening was very friendly and helpful. We loved this experience with the Mint, so glad we chose this venue and would recommend it to all. Our guests had a blast and enjoyed the unique setting as well.

the reception in the atrium but with the torrential down pour outside we were forced to go with plan B which was having the ceremony in one of the galleries up stairs. It ended up being more beautiful than I ever could have imagined and I couldn't be happier.
