The string duo was absolutely perfect for the intimate room we were married in during our ceremony, and adding in the pianist to the mix for the reception ballroom gave us a wonderful soundscape to celebrate with our friends. We received tons of non-stop compliments on the music played which included foundational classics to classical takes on modern tunes. Our guests, plenty of whom would never have chosen a classical ensemble or this type of music for an event were thrilled with the ability to converse between themselves and other tables without shouting and made note of just how enjoyable it made sitting to eat and socializing and mixing around. ed to add to our wedding day. This was the one good thing about COVID postponements - you got to add things you didn't have the first time around. Live ceremony music truly does make an enormous difference. Scott actually called me which was so thoughtful and really helped him to get a sense of me as a bride and the vision I had for my wedding. I explained that I wanted to have a traditional element but then something unique to make the ceremony memorable. My idea was Canon in D for the processional and then Iris by Goo Goo Dolls for my entrance. Scott loved the idea and his good energy and support made me all the more excited. We communicated regularly and then settled on Paradise by Coldplay for our recessional. When the doors opened for me to walk in and Iris was playing I couldn't even cry happy tears because I was BEAMING smiling. The decor was perfection but the sound of the music is what I focused on. I kept saying to myself "Oh my god this is exactly how I envisioned and heard it in my head." It was SPOT ON. Scott also reached out to my DJ himself to discuss utilizing a microphone for his violinist. I cannot tell you how refreshing it was that a vendor was willing to take something off of my plate. He certainly didn't have to do that and that is something I really will always remember. The ceremony is SO important. Your reception will always be fun - drinks, food, music, dancing. The ceremony takes a little bit more thought and planning and live music is an amazing addition. However, it was truly Scott and The Music Boutique's service and kindness that brought an extra special element to the wedding. Hire them, you will not regret it!! THANK YOU!!

It didn’t matter how oddly specific my requests were or how vague my responses could be when I didn’t know how our reception and dancing might/might not work in a COVID conscious world, Scott had it under control. He truly took the temperature of the room and catered to every ebb and flow of energy through the whole event. Correspondence with Scott was so easy and never overbearing, as can be the case with many vendors. With that being said, I knew that I could text him on nearly any day or at any time and receive a prompt response. Scott took every meaningful request I made seriously, even going as far as to customized an arrangement of an old Yiddish folk song so that my departed grandparents could be represented as I walked down the aisle. The music itself was divine and received the highest praise from all of my guests. Scott is right when he says that you never forget GREAT live music and thanks to him, my first dance with my husband, my father/daughter dance, and the music I walked down the aisle to will be just some of the many beloved memories I will get to cherish for a lifetime. My husband and I cannot wait to have another celebratory occasion worthy of working with Scott!

t the vibe - the music was beautiful, elegant, magical, and made the space feel intimate, special and unique. This was my vision and I couldn’t believe it came alive, even better than I imagined. From the initial consultation phone call, it was clear that Scott has a great deal of experience with music at weddings and other events. I explained to him that we are having a microwedding and if it was possible to have 1 or 2 musicians play - I had no idea if it was too small or not to book. He made me feel confident in my vision and said it was definitely possible and that he was excited. This made me feel great. He was enthusiastic and a pleasure to work with. He gave me several package options and pricing and overall was very fair. As we got closer to the wedding, I wasn’t being so proactive in creating my own playlists (if they took a break they could play it) and he was very reassuring that he had it under control and that it would be easy. Now this may have not been as easy for him if it was a larger more traditional wedding. But the point is, Scott was patient with me and flexible and made me feel no stress. He and the other musician were soooo nice at the wedding. I just wish the day never ended! I also never will look at a DJ the same again. Scott and live music is way more beautiful than anything you could ever imagine.

After a long, tiring wedding day, my husband and I cherished the moments when we sat and listened to the exceptional music during our reception. It was a magical moment. These musicians are incredible and I'd wholeheartedly recommend them to you!!

First dance, guests on the dance floor with us, toast, a song to honor my mom, soft music for the meal and once the dancing started we just couldn't stop. Scott pulled together a first class ensemble (we went all out with the usual 4 plus a sax player and female lead vocalist). Of course Scott planned like crazy. We exchanged play lists. He took the time to drive over and we worked out the flow of the guests and schedule of events... but not too much so we allowed some spontaneity. The party was in our garden-- to our surprise Scott even threw in a jazz duo for the cocktail hour before the reception. Our wedding was the happiest day of our lives. And Scott and his peeps played a big part in that.

Our venue had a piano that Scott played during the ceremony and cocktail hour which added an extra level of personalizations and sophistication. Our guests raved about the live music. It made our ceremony special and set the mood for the evening during cocktail hour. I highly recommend entrusting them with your special day!!

the call I immediately felt comfortable speaking with him about our vision, he just got it. Scott's experience in the industry shined through as he really listened to me and answered almost all of my questions before I even got a chance to ask them. Our winter wedding vibe was cozy, classic romance at David's Country Inn. With the restrictions at the time we had about half of our original guest list attend our wedding but Scott and his music warmed up the room and was the absolute perfect touch that we were looking for. One of my favorite moments from our wedding day was when my new husband and I stood alone on the balcony, looking down at our guests and during cocktail hour. I felt like my husband and I were floating in this perfect bubble and Scott's jazz trio will forever be the backdrop in this memory. As we got closer to the event Scott would occasionally touch base via text to confirm any last minute details. It was the perfect amount of communication in the final weeks for me. Scott was always professional and made the entire process from consultation, to booking, to confirming final details to execution. We would love to have Scott's jazz trio at another one of our events in the future! I also want to add that his jazz trio was so enchanting during our cocktail hour that our friends who were in our wedding party, connected with him that night and then booked him within a week for their upcoming wedding in May! So we got to enjoy his music all over again just three months later!

nd need to hear a personal experience for convincing; here goes: being a postponed 2020 covid bride who changed location within 3 months - working with Scott and his team was seamless . From my first email to the Music Boutique, Scott (the owner) responded within 24 hours with everything I had inquired about. We emailed several times since then with that I thought were annoying or silly questions, but he answered everything in full detail and even spoke on the phone with me several times. Going above and beyond, he even went as far as telling me about how the ceremony usually goes and what others have done (as I was pretty confused). He was able to play every random song I requested. He played piano along with a violinist for my ceremony, and had a awesome saxophone player, Geoff for part of my reception. Geoff was able to also play some pretty random songs (hooks to old school rap) along with my DJ (DJ Joey G from Jade Productions who was also great). Overall - I could not recommend Scott and his team more. Hope this helps you pick them!
