She reviewed the contracts and offerings for all of our prospective reception venues, analyzing the cost vs the services offered in the packages. We almost decided on one venue when she identified that there were a lot of costs not included in the package, we were going to have to pay for them separately AND we would have had to manage finding them and contracting for them separately. Samantha's advice ended up saving us a lot of time, hassle, and money! AND she's been doing this all from a distance as I am trying to plan everything while currently living in San Diego!! In addition to helping with the management aspects, Samantha has given expert advice on a variety of items, including: save the dates, sit down dinner versus buffet, what aspects of the venue besides cost should we be concerned with (such as should we have a venue with backup indoor space if it were to rain on our special day), and ideas on some pretty and low cost ways to decorate our reception space. Samantha provides great support based on her outstanding experience in event management. It’s nice to have some expert, impartial assistance from such a talented individual. She evaluated the services with us and helped with the contract negotiation and review to ensure we got the best possible pricing for the events. For food, she helped us evaluate different options – from hiring caterers, to arranging for food trucks, to choosing venues that supplied their own food, etc. She knew the pros and cons for each situation and guided us in choosing something within our limited budget that will also be fun and tasty. The Perfect Moment will also be helping us with the ‘day of’ management of the two days so that we can sit back and enjoy the festivities rather than worry about all of the details. She’s going to keep track of all the various vendors ahead of time, meet with us to work out any last minute details, oversee setup and wrap up during the two events, and also manage the individual activities that need to happen. We started the planning for this reunion very late – all the websites said we should have started a year in advance and we gave ourselves 4 months. Without Samantha’s assistance I doubt we’d even have found a place to do this. Now, the major details have been ironed out and we know we won’t have to worry about having a great reunion.
