About Us

Centrally located minutes from downtown Austin, Texas, the Phillips Event Center is a luxurious venue choice for couples looking to design a timeless wedding. It is conveniently located close to Austin Bergstrom International Airport, Interstate Highway 35, MoPac/State Highway Loop 1 and State Highways 130, 183 and 290.

With more than 4,800 square feet available, the Phillips Event Center is capable of hosting events with as many as 350 guests. This space is a relative newcomer to Austin's wedding venue scene and has been tastefully decorated to complement a variety of color schemes and decor styles.

The front of the venue features a horseshoe driveway that is perfect for valet parking. Guests arrive to a large covered walkway and are immediately aware that no detail has been overlooked; an impressive water fountain anchors the space. Glamor doesn't end here, as guests will discover when they walk inside. There are multiple areas in the Phillips Event Center that couples can use for their ceremony and reception. These include:

The Lobby. The Lobby is spacious and elegant, featuring coffered ceilings and a neutral color palette. This space is ideal for photography and some couples even choose to hold their cocktail hour here.

The Ballroom. The Ballroom is the main event space. It is 4,800 square feet and capable of seating 350 guests. The Ballroom has gorgeous hickory hardwood flooring throughout, coffered ceilings and dimmable chandelier lighting. Rental of this space includes 60-inch round tables—with your choice of linen color—and chairs. It is also wired for all audio and visual needs.

The Patio. With gorgeous red brick flooring and surrounded by trees, The Patio is a blank slate waiting to be customized for your day. It is slightly more intimate than The Ballroom at 1,200 square feet and is able to seat 200 guests. The Patio is ideal for the buffet, bar, additional seating space or ceremonies. This space can also be tented for weather.


What You Should Know

The Phillips Event Center provides an eight-hour rental, but can be booked longer for an added fee. There are 90 parking spaces available to guests with the option for additional street parking.

The Phillips Event Center allows couples to use the caterer of their choice, the only condition being that COI Liability, Food Permits and TABC Certificates are required. A large catering kitchen is available on-site and features:

  • Two full-size food warmers
  • Stainless steel prep tables and commercial sink
  • Commercial ice machine
  • Private entrance for caterers
  • Private washroom for catering staff

Extra Perks

The Phillips Event Center's location is ideal for out-of-town guests, as it is close to many hotels, restaurants and tourist attractions. This venue also has a few unique perks that make it desirable to couples, including:

We chose this place because it has a beautiful floor, tables chairs and tablecloths were included, and no in house caterer. Tips. HOLD ON TO YOUR CONTRACT. They tried to pull a few fast ones on us. Tried to shorten our set up time by a few hours. Told us we could use the... Read More kitchen the night before for the cake, then told us we couldn't. Practice with the lights before. We found ourselves flicking them on and off all night, not knowing which light did what. Overall, this place is beautiful but they now have a caterer, and I'm thankful I was able to use my own. And I got my deposit back.

Anna was a god send! She helped me out so much during the final days before the wedding. She helped me with some linens and get all my tables ready - and when you're doing everything yourself it really matters.
