We get it. You’re looking for something a little different.
You love the natural beauty of the outdoors and want a gorgeous backdrop for your wedding photo’s, but the barn scene is getting a little tired.
You want a destination wedding without the pretentious price tag or hassle of overseas travel logistics.
You like the idea of a rustic, remote setting, but need something nicer than a campground outhouse on your special day.
You want to be IN the mountains but not if your sweet grandma has to hike UP the mountain to witness your nuptials.
If your wedding vibe is "rustic, relaxed & remote" and you want your ceremony on a beachy, secluded shoreline of a tranquil, mountain lake...The Tack Shed at Bridal Bay is the beginning of your happily-ever-after.
On a grassy, level acre of lakefront, the bridal party gets ready in a private, 1,000 sq ft bungalow with all the comforts of home. Including a relaxed living space with a stone fireplace, full-service kitchen for munchies, 2 bathrooms, WiFi, full-length mirrors and lots of natural light - perfect for hair & makeup prep. Simply open the doors and walk down the aisle!
Parties of 50 or less can enjoy our covered patio for a BYOB rehearsal dinner or reception. Larger parties arrange for tent rentals.
We believe life is an adventure but wedding logistics shouldn’t be. Our packages include chairs, tables, linens, sound system and 3 altar options (or bring your own). Forget something? Couples can also dip into our “Something Borrowed” barn if they need extra décor.
As an outdoor venue on the western slope, our season is from May to October (including tours) which offers optimum temperatures and the best view of the lake.
NOTE: You are not just another couple on the calendar for us. To provide the best customer service to prospective clients, we respond to personalized messages specifically intended for The Tack Shed at Bridal Bay.
Through The Knot & Wedding Wire, couples can send a generically worded inquiry to mass numbers of venues. While this practice may be efficient for the couple, it is not an efficient use of time or effective business practice for the venue. We reply to generically worded inquiries as time allows.
For more prompt, personalized service, share a few details with us and let us know who you are. We look forward to collaborating with you!

- Christine FletcherPrincipalGrowing up on the Lake Of The Ozarks, Christine is naturally drawn to the water. It was water-skiing that brought her to Texas where she competed on the Baylor University team. After graduation, she pursued her other passion in the expo industry, orchestrating large, international trade shows. While enjoying an adventurous career she met Derek - an outdoor enthusiast in his own right - with a love for horses and fishing. These lake lovers knew their adventures wouldn't end at the altar, but simply start a new, exciting chapter. It was love at first sight when they found The Tack Shed, a historical ecurie on Lake San Cristobal. There's something magical, an undeniable allure and uniqueness that sets it apart from any other cabin in Lake City. Initially stepping onto the property Christine's first comment was, "I wish we would've gotten married here" immediately followed by, "I hope my future daughters-in-law want to get married here!" Until that day arrives, Derek and Christine enjoy sharing this idyllic setting, utilizing event management skills gained from a 30-year career, and invite you to be a part of our rich history as you embark on your own adventure.
- Derek FletcherPrincipalDerek grew up with a love for horses, fishing and just being outdoors. The Tack Shed, a historical ecurie on Lake San Cristobal, is his heartstring home where he can perfect his fly fishing technique in the summer and ice fish in the winter. The unobstructed views of Sleeping Ute Peak, names after the Ute tribe who originally inhabited the area, appeal to his Native American roots.

We were the first couple to get married at The Tack Shed and were blown away (and still are!) by the beauty of this venue. The backdrop is just perfect, working with Christine is SO easy, and the inside of the venue is just perfect for getting ready in. Christine is so communicative, precise, and doesn't miss out on any details. She helped make our wedding at The Tack Shed so smooth and perfect. We love visiting the venue every time we are back in Lake City <3 We cannot recommend this space and experience enough!

The Tack Shed at Bridal Bay is absolutely lovely—charming, cozy, and surrounded by breathtaking natural beauty. The peaceful atmosphere by Lake San Cristobal made it feel like our own private escape. The outdoor setting was stunning, and it provided the perfect backdrop for our photos. Christine and her team were wonderful hosts, going above and beyond to make our elopement easy and stress-free. We felt completely taken care of, and we couldn’t recommend this place more highly for anyone looking for a serene, picturesque wedding location.
