We originally picked this place. They were so difficult to work with! Originally they told us they let you out your date on hold but you can't put you deposit on until months before. We put out date on hold and a couple months later I called to... make sure it was still on hold. The lady I spoke with told me they didn't have anything on my date and told me I could put it on hold but my deposit would be due in a couple weeks. I told her I didn't think I could put my deposit down and she said yes, I could. I told her great and that id put it down that day. A few weeks later she emailed me and told me that I couldn't put my deposit down and they'd refund it but keep my date on hold.
Also originally when I talked with them they had a list of caterers you could use. I Picked one and signed a contract with them after putting my date on hold. One day I got a call from my caterer saying that the tower was going to only use 1 and she had asked if they could keep those weddings that had already been booked. Originally the tower said they would think about it but later said no. No one from the Tower even told me about going to one caterer until I asked them. I heard everything from the caterer. It took them months to pick the caterer as well, over the time they told me they'd have one. They also picked the most expensive caterer!
There were other problems like this with them and I was so stressed out by them I decided it wasn't worth the stress for the venue and I ended up taking my date of hold. The Tower is ran by different people than the other U venues like The point, The Officers Club, The Bandstand, and Red Butte. They are much more workable than the Tower.
