We had our wedding at The Willow Room. From the minute you get off the elevator the venue is beautiful! Johanna is especially helpful, Linda is great & Melody as well. Johanna set up meetings & helped keep us on track with everything. We received so many compliments on how beautiful the place was afterwards! Would recommend this venue to anyone who wants a ceremony & reception at the same place!

Although The Willow Room is quite pricy, it truly is worth the cost. The staff is friendly. The food is delicious. Not to mention it is one of the most beautiful venues you could have. Also, they provide a bridal suite where the female attendants and bride are able to get dressed, have their hair/make-up done, etc. A bridal butler is also provided to assist the bride and ensure the wedding/reception is running smoothly. My wedding was in February and I had both my ceremony and reception at this location -- I couldn't be happier.
My husband and I could not be happy with our wedding venue selection. The entire staff of the willow room did an amazing job for our wedding in July. Cara was wonderful in helping me plan all the details, and was always quick with a response to any question that I had. I also really appreciated the fact that she never made me feel like I was a bother, but rather was interested in providing me with the best guidance that she could. Our guests had a great time. Everyone couldn't stop talking about the food and we were very impressed with how efficient the entire staff was in serving our guests. Multiple people even asked us how we found out about this venue. I loved that not only would they decorate the venue for you, but they took it down at the end of the night in the most efficient manner I have ever seen. It was wonderful not having to worry about things getting left behind or bothering relatives to pack up centerpieces. Lastly, we really knew that we picked the right place, when after the wedding multiple people approached us about possibly having their own weddings there, since they were so impressed with how everything went. We definitely felt that we got the most for our money at the Willow Room at would recommend them to anyone that asked.
DO NOT BOOK THIS VENUE!!! WR turned my wedding into a nightmare!!!Reviewed on 10/28/2014 Breanne V
The Willow Room used to be a great venue, until recently. They simply view your wedding as a business and only care about squeezing every penny from you. About nine months before our wedding, we received a letter stating that it was time for our tasting, and an unknown name signed at the bottom. We found out that the original general manager we booked with, had left or been fired. This is the woman we practically planned out all of the details with. The price, linens, centerpieces(flowers), extras we wanted to add, etc. This eventually caused everything to spiral into a disaster. One month before our wedding, we still had no contact with any staff of The Willow Room- we didn't even know the name of our contact at this point. I called the venue, and I was told that they don't reach out to the couple until one month away from the wedding (I was a few days early). I expressed that I was concerned because we didn't have our centerpieces planned out and we needed that info from them. One month is not enough to organize centerpieces with a florist, especially through a vendor. We met with the new general manager, Cara, and was told that our "package" didn't include centerpieces, and they had no documentation of any details we had previously established. Before we left the meeting, Cara reassured us that we had nothing to worry about, they will figure out something with the centerpieces. The next day she called me and said there's absolutely nothing they can do, her hands are tied. She could only suggest a florist to book. This was blamed on the owner. We had no documentation of the centerpieces being included, which was my fault, because it was all discussed at our meetings. The previous GM gained my trust and that was foolish of me. Since we had very little time, we had no choice but to go with the suggested florist and find an extra $1500 to dish out. In the meantime, I shopped around on my own to gather antique pieces to save money and calm my nerves about having no centerpieces. Next, it is 10 days before our wedding and I have to email Cara to ask when we are going to finalize details, because it's down to the wire. We have yet to run through the day of, extra perks we want to add, etc. She responds only to ask multiple questions we already settled at the meeting. I'm beyond frustrated at this point. The next day (9 days before the wedding), she sends a casual email saying that there is now an upcharge of $8 for every dish of filet mignon, because it's not in our package...$1400 EXTRA! I go home to see the original menu has the steak in our package. The menu was changed when they switched staff. We, along with our parents, take the info packet to her, and she acts as if we fabricated the menu! She argued that beef prices were raised (again, 9 days before our wedding), and we would have to pull the money out of thin air or get something else. At the same meeting, we were handed an invoice that was DOUBLE the amount of our contract price! The wording in the contract for a guest total sounds one way, but means something different. This all leads back to lack of communication. We had to end up changing the steak and praying our guests wouldn't notice... Please spare yourself- DO NOT BOOK!!!
Beautiful Venue!Reviewed on 2/13/2012 Annie S
The Willow Room was an absolutely amazing venue to have our wedding. The location was great and had plenty of room to hold our 240 guests. Some things we absolutely loved were the martini bar and the bartenders - especially Melody. She was very fun and made sure all of the guests were happy. The chef and the food were also great. They made special accomodations for my dad who is very picky, while everyone else was able to keep the duo plate. Some things we did not like were the fact that we originally had Kim as our wedding coordinator, then it was switched to Nicole, then back to Kim. They never informed us that Kim would be working with us again - we had to hear it from our florist. We also thought the service was very lacking. The wedding party and parent tables are supposed to have a "butler" to help you all night. She was very unhelpful and told my girls she didn't have time to get them a drink when we arrived, and our parents had to ask her 3-4 times for a drink before she actually brought it. We all went directly to the bar because it was much faster. The bathrooms are very beautiful, but they are definitely too small for the venue size. We had a line to the men's room all night long.
Reception VenueReviewed on 6/26/2011 Rachel M
The Willow Room is beautiful. Not much decorating was needed except for centerpieces. In the beginning stages of my planning I dealt with a sales manager who was pretty helpful, but I felt like I was contacting her about the next step or asking questions. When it came time to finalize all of my details I worked with Nicole. She is the new wedding coordinator and is AMAZING!!! I could not have asked for someone better. She was very involved and wanted to do anything and everything she could to make our day perfect. I made my own centerpieces and provided them to The Willow Room the day before our event. We went through how they were to be set up and Nicole said that she would make everything look perfect. The food at the Willow Room is delicious. Our guests said that they have never had such a hot, delicious meal served at a wedding before. The venue does have elevators which makes it easy for guests to get to the fourth floor as well as a bridal suite that we can get away for a few minutes if need be. I would highly recommend the Willow Room.

My sister planned my bridal shower and I wanted a place closer to my home. The Willow Room was so beautiful and everyone made it a point to let me know how beautiful everything was! Highly recommended even for a wedding reception!
Willing to work with your budget for non-SaturdayReviewed on 5/22/2011 Courtney T
Are wedding will be on a Friday and when we went to the Willow Room we absolutely fell in love! The chandeliers are so much more beautiful in person, especially the first one that you will see right after you get off the elevator in the lobby. They have a beautiful balcony, which acts as the smoking area, and two bars on either side of the ball room. The bathrooms are even gorgeous - the men's room is done in black marble and even the toilets are black, and the women's room is done in all white. The stalls are a little small but the handicapped stall is nice and spacey. The bridal suite would definitely be worth every penny though. It is a huge room with chairs an counter for all your make up and what-not with a giant mirror over it. The suite also comes with a full bathroom - including a bath tub! We loved the place and were both very sad when the sales coordinator told us that instead of a minimum guest count, the Willow Room as a minimum price. For Saturdays that minimum (which does not include tax or gratuity) is $10,000, but for Fridays the minimum is usually lowered typically to about $8,000. This really is still pretty cheap for everything that you would get though, but it was far out of our budget. Nicole - the sales coordinator - said that she could see if the owner might agree to lower it down further for us. We told her our budget (which we will just say was very low) and she said that she would see what she could do. A few hours later we got a call from Nicole and she said that the owner agreed to lower the minimum to meet our budget. We were ecstatic! We did actually decide to not go with them ONLY because we found another place that fit our theme more. The only reason we even looked at the other place, though, was because we had already made the appointment. If not we would certainly not have kept looking because the Willow Room is amazing! So don't be too afraid of the high price tag and look into it. Whether you pay $8,000 or $10,000 I can guarantee that you will be getting great value for your money.
Beautiful place for a reception!Reviewed on 9/14/2010 Amy H
This venue was my very first choice. The coordinator there was very competent and helpful. She allowed us to walk through the kitchen (which was beautifully clean) and answered all questions very patiently. The only reason that we did not choose the Willow Room was that it was too far out of our price range. I really loved it, though!
