The First Look
Yellow Barn: This facility is one of the largest and most unique wedding locations in the Shenandoah Valley, with over 5,000 square feet of banquet space. Its outdoor lawn area can seat 150 individuals for an outdoor ceremony. A beautiful metal and stone gazebo is available for your ceremony and for pictures. Additionally, the other spaces of the Yellow Barn can be toured. Displays include agricultural equipment and carriages. The venue has goats and an active beehive that children can safely witness.
What You Should Know
Before your wedding, get together with the wedding party and other guests to explore the Shenandoah Valley area. There is plenty to see, including museums and Civil War sites, as well as wineries, resorts, horseback riding and more.
Event staff set up all ceremony and reception chairs and tables for you, both indoors and outdoors. When renting at the Yellow Barn, you have setup time from 12 to 5 PM the day before the event to personalize the space with decorations and centerpieces. You may also run through a rehearsal during that time. A full kitchen is available at the Yellow Barn, and you may bring in any caterer of your choosing.
When hosting a wedding at this unique site, couples and their guests can take advantage of the following extra perks.
- Staff can guide the bride, groom and photographer in the caverns for unique photos
- One-hour cavern tours available for all your guests
- Gorgeous white carriage may be used as an onstage backdrop for your reception or indoor ceremony

Jessica, the event coordinator, was an absolute pleasure to work with. She answered all of the gazillions of questions I had in the months, weeks, days, and hours leading up to my wedding. She was very quick to respond--always within 24 hours but usually within minutes. I can't recommend this venue, and Jessica enough!
